Wednesday presents us with just six games to work with and with the trade deadline looming, it’s imperative to pay attention to the news and any fallout that comes with a potential trade. This is a mess of a slate, so it might be wise to scale back your gameplay while also focusing more on GPP contests.
In terms of rest, the Nets, Grizzlies, and Suns are playing their third game in four nights, including last night. The Cavaliers and Rockets also played last night. Everyone else is coming off of at least one day of rest, with the Timberwolves and Spurs having multiple days off. We’ve already seen a few trades, including some that involve not playing a player until a deal is made. This lends itself to some shifts in lineups, so be sure to factor that into your lineup construction. Let’s take a look at a tournament lineup for FanDuel.

Point Guard
Dejounte Murray (SA): $5,500 @ PHO
This is a prime matchup for Murray and the Spurs, so I’m hoping a combination of efficiency and a boost in pace offsets any concerns over playing time. If we can squeeze around 30 FDP out of Murray, I think that’s enough to justify using him in an effort to spend up elsewhere.

Rajon Rondo (NO): $4,800 vs. IND
Rondo is coming off of a season-high in scoring in his last game while supplying seven assists, three rebounds and a steal against the Jazz. He should continue that kind of success tonight in an easier matchup against the Pacers and I love exploiting his salary in tournaments as a result.
Other Notables
Shooting Guard
Donovan Mitchell (UTA): $7,500 @ MEM
Mitchell is coming off of a poor outing in his last game, but I think he can bounce back tonight against the Grizzlies. His price leaves him as a GPP only play, however, but there’s still upside to be had. This is a less than desirable fantasy atmosphere as it features two plodding teams, but I like Mitchell to put forth a strong outing this evening.
Troy Daniels (PHO): $3,600 vs. SA
Daniels should be looking at extra run again tonight (23 minutes last night) with Devin Booker doubtful to play, which creates a great scenario to get some salary relief. The matchup against the Spurs is not a good one, but the low tag offsets and concerns over efficiency.
Other Notables
Small Forward
LeBron James (CLE): $10,900 vs. MIN
I think we are all running out of things to say about the state of the Cavaliers right now, and even James himself can be lumped into those concerns. James has scored 42 FDP or less in four straight games, which has kept his price in check. You’d like to think he bounces back at home against the Timberwolves, but who knows at this point. I’m willing to find out in tournament lineups despite the tough individual matchup, as he should break out of his individual funk soon.
Reggie Bullock (DET): $4,700 vs. BKN
Bullock has played 34 plus minutes in three straight games and while his production has been erratic, he still deserves consideration tonight against the Nets. Bullock scored 33.7 FDP in his last outing, which is more than enough to justify using him tonight. The floor is a concern as well, but it’s a risk worth taking in GPP contests.
Other Notables
Power Forward
Blake Griffin (DET): $9,200 vs. BKN
Griffin has wasted no time acclimating to his new team and he is a phenomenal play at home tonight against the Nets. The superstar has scored 49.5 FDP, 37.3 FDP and 37.8 FDP in his first three games with the Pistons, and I look for him to easily continue his recent success against Brooklyn.
Nikola Mirotic (NO): $7,200 vs. IND
Mirotic struggled after joining the starting lineup in his last game, but don’t be afraid to go back to the well this evening. He’s going to likely continue to be inconsistent as he gets familiar with his new team, but there’s upside to be had as he displayed on Saturday (48.4 FDP).
Other Notables
Center
Myles Turner (IND): $6,500 @ NO
Turner has struggled mightily over his last two games, so there might be a reason to be concerned over a possible lingering knee issue. I’m going to roll the dice on him in the hopes that he’s good to go after a day of rest, however. He scored 40 plus FDP in two games prior to his latest duds, so there’s upside to be had. He’s a high risk, high reward play tonight in New Orleans.
