The end of the week is near with tonight’s schedule featuring a thick 13-game slate that’ll have the Philadelphia 76ers as the only team operating on a back-to-back. With such a deep slate, get ready for plenty of options and lineup optimization. Tip-off locks at 7:00 p.m. EST.

Point Guard
Malcolm Brogdon (PG – IND): $7,800 @ ATL
After starting the season out on an absolute tear, Brogdon has slowed down considerably, though his price has dropped to match the decrease in production. At this price-point, Brogdon represents a great option that is coming off a 48.4-point performance just two nights ago. The Atlanta Hawks present a great matchup as they rank 29th in defensive rating and 11th in pace. The Pacers also have the highest implied total of the night thus far with a projected 114.25 points.
De’Anthony Melton (PG – MEM): $4,100 vs. MIL
Starting point guard Ja Morant has been ruled out for today’s contest due to a back injury, bringing intrigue to the two remaining point guards on the roster in Tyus Jones and Melton. I chose to go with Melton as I believe he offers a higher upside and has performed incredibly well lately scoring over 20+ FanDuel points in five of his past six contests. Look for Melton to get plenty of minutes tonight. Even though the matchup is a tough one as the Milwaukee Bucks rank 1st in defensive rating, it doesn’t take much to reach value at Meltons’ price tag.

Shooting Guard
Khris Middleton (SG – MIL): $6,700 @ MEM
Middleton is officially beginning to hit his stride since returning from an extended absence. In his past five games, Middleton has yet to score less than 31.9 FanDuel points, scoring 41 in his latest contest. Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected back for this contest which will surely cap Middleton’s upside, but the matchup is a great one as the Memphis Grizzlies rank 20th in defensive rating and 6th in pace. One thing to look out for is a potential blowout, which would be no strange occurrence for the Milwaukee Bucks this season.
Josh Richardson (SG – PHI): $4,500 vs. NO
Please keep an eye on Richardson’s status tonight. He’s expected to play, but since returning from a six-game absence, Richardson has competed in two contests, one of which was last night. Richardson’s currently playing under a minute’s restriction and could ultimately be held out tonight as a precaution, but it isn’t a certainty. If Richardson does play, he’s got a great shot to return value as his price tag is so cheap and the matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans is a good one as they rank 28th in defensive rating and 4th in pace.
Small Forward
Paul George (SF – LAC): $9,300 @ MIN
Prior to putting up a stinker in his last contest, PG13 caught fire scoring 54.2 and 60.3 FanDuel points in back-to-back games. Tonight’s matchup for George is a good one as the Minnesota Timberwolves rank 21st in defensive rating and 5th in pace. George currently ranks 18th in usage rate among league leaders, trailing his teammate Kawhi Leonard which ranks 6th. Leonard is likely to draw the defense of Robert Covington, leaving George with the easier matchup of the two.
Tobias Harris (SF – PHI): $7,800 vs. NO
Just like you should do with Richardson, make sure you pay attention to Harris’ status prior to tip-off tonight. Harris should be good to go and is expected to play a full game, but back-to-back’s always need to be monitored closely. Harris is coming off two strong performances that totaled 42.4 and 52.1 FanDuel points, proving just how good of a player he is. Power forward Al Horford likely plays tonight, which could cap Harris’ ceiling, though the matchup against the Pelicans is a great one.
Power Forward
Royce O’Neale (PF – UTA): $3,900 vs. GS
O’Neale offers practically no ceiling, but the Golden State Warriors are terrible defensively and only get worse with Draymond Green expected to sit this contest out. The Warriors are ranked 25th in defensive rating and 16th in pace, providing a plus matchup for all Utah Jazz players. O’Neale has struggled in his past two games against the Warriors this season, totaling only 15.1 and 11.8 FanDuel points.
Marvin Bagley III (PF – SAC): $7,000 vs. NY
Bagley is a highly-talented player who is just now returning from a lengthy absence due to injury. Bagley came off the bench in his first contest – and it sounds like that’ll continue to be the case for the time being – though he did register 23 minutes of playing time. The playing time/situation needs to be monitored with Bagley tonight, but the matchup is a good one as the New York Knicks rank 24th in defensive rating but only 26th in pace.
Center
Rudy Gobert (C – UTA): $8,700 vs. GS
The Warriors have been awful at defending big men this season, and Gobert is proof as he scored 53.3 and 52.3 FanDuel points in his last two contests against them this season. Gobert is a rebounding machine, rim-protecting, and garbage-collecting big man who offers a high ceiling when on his game. Ride Gobert in this one confidently.
