The nine-game NBA slate on DraftKings on Monday night offers up a lot of options to consider for your DFS lineups. There are a bunch of new faces in new places that had strong debuts with their new clubs and are still underpriced for their enhanced situation. Then, of course, we have a slew of injuries to take note of and monitor leading up to tipoff, including Giannis Antetokounmpo which would open up a few options in Milwaukee.
Note that some of the stats referenced in this article are my custom defense versus position (DvP) calculations that combines data from the season and last five games along with blending similar positions production allowed together.

One Stud
Nikola Jokic (C – DEN): $10,200 vs. SA
While I am going to list my top stud of the night here, there is a good chance that I will not be rostering a high-priced stud on this slate. That said, if we do come up with the salary space, then Nikola Jokic will be that guy for me. Over his last four games, Jokic has dropped 30.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 9.0 assists per game. He will face a Spurs team that has allowed slight increases in production to opposing big men in points (+1.8%), rebounds (+7.6%), and assists (+8.3%).

Core Plays
Christian Wood (PF/C – DET): $7,200 vs. CHA
With Andre Drummond shipped to Cleveland, the Pistons have turned to Wood for big minutes at the center position and he has produced. Over the last two games without Drummond, Wood has averaged 22.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game while playing 35-plus minutes in each outing. On Monday, he’ll face a Hornets team that has given up increased production to big men in points (+3.5%), rebounds (+0.9%), and assists (+8.3%). Wood should continue to take advantage of his opportunity.
Jamal Murray (PG – DEN): $7,000 vs. SA
Murray has been on fire for the Nuggets since his return from injury. In the three games, since his return, Murray has shot 61.5 percent from the field and 56.5 percent from three-point range while piling up 29.0 points and 5.0 assists per night. Look for Murray to stay hot playing at home against the Spurs
Caris LeVert (PG/SF – BKN): $7,000 @ IND
With Kyrie Irving out, LeVert has stepped up his game over the last three outings averaging 29.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game. During that stretch, LeVert has taken at least 18 shots in each game and is shooting 68.8 percent from beyond the arc. While Monday’s matchup against the Pacers isn’t ideal, his shot volume and overall involvement in the offense with Irving out still justify using him at his current price tag.
Buddy Hield (SG/SF – SAC): $6,600 @ MIL
Hield is another player where I am going to ride the hot streak. He knocked down 9-of-10 three-pointers in his last outing on his way to 31 points and 53.5 DK points against the Spurs. Hield will look to stay hot in Milwaukee on Monday night against a Bucks team that allows the third-most three-point shots to opposing wings this season. Hield offers some salary savings compared to other similarly projected options at SG/SF while also giving some lineup flexibility.
Value Plays
Mike Conley (PG – UTH): $5,500 @ DAL
Conley has started to finally fit in with the Jazz after an early-season injury. He has played at least 30 minutes in each of the last four games while putting up 20.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. His salary remains far too low on DraftKings at $5,500 given his recent playing time and production as he gets ready for a matchup with the Mavericks on Monday night. The Mavericks have allowed a slight bump in points and rebounds to point guards this year. Look for Conley to continue to exceed value for his salary.
Malik Beasley (SG – MIN): $4,500 @ TOR
After being pushed down in the Suns rotation this season, Beasley got a new lease on life with a trade to the Timberwolves at the deadline. In his first game with the new club, Beasley played 29 minutes and responded with a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Even if D’Angelo Russell suits up for his Timberwolves debut on Monday, I still expect Beasley to get significant run at shooting guard and be the third scoring option in the offense.
Jae Crowder (PF – MIA): $4,500 @ GS
Continuing the new faces in new places segment of the write-up, we have Crowder who made his Heat debut on Sunday and also delivered a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards while playing 35 minutes. With wings Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro questionable for Monday’s matchup against the Warriors, Crowder should be in line for another 30-plus minutes in a favorable matchup.
Dewayne Dedmon (C – ATL): $4,400 @ ORL
Dedmon has returned to Atlanta where he enjoyed the best seasons of his career. He had a successful return to the Hawks with 10 points, eight rebounds, and five blocks in 33 minutes against the Knicks. With the newly acquired Clint Capela still out, Dedmon should get around 30 minutes at center again on Monday against the Magic. With a chance at a double-double to go along with some blocks and three-pointers, Dedmon should crush value for his low salary.
