The last two weeks have been challenging, but things are starting to turn around. After what felt like a million players entering COVID protocols last week, we finally have players returning. It’s leaving the injury reports much shorter than before, which obviously makes me happy!
We’ve had some large slates recently, but this one is small. We have just five games making up this Tuesday card, with many bad teams in action. That always makes things interesting for fantasy, though, and there’s still plenty to discuss. With that in mind, let’s get into it!

Injury Report
Core Plays
LeBron James (SF/PF – LAL): $11,400 DraftKings, $11,400 FanDuel
If you’re fading King James right now, you should look at a different hobby. This dude has been playing at another level, averaging 34.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.5 blocks over his last eight games played. He’s actually scored at least 62 DK points in six of those, providing an absurd 65-point average. That makes him an easy play against the Kings, and we’ll dive into that later.
Pascal Siakam (PF – TOR): $8,700 DraftKings, $9,400 FanDuel
Siakam has been unbelievable since his return from the COVID list. This guy has taken over Toronto’s offense, scoring at least 50 DraftKings points in three straight games. His floor has been equally as consistent, scoring at least 36 fantasy points in 10 consecutive outings. It’s easy to see why, with the Raptors having a ton of players missing, and it should continue against a 23rd-ranked Spurs defense.
Jakob Poeltl (C – SAS): $6,100 DraftKings, $6,100 FanDuel
It isn’t easy to understand why Poeltl remains so affordable. The big man has scored at least 27 DK points in 20 of his 27 games, providing a 37-point average in those 20 outings. That’s hard to believe from a $6K player, and he should be asked to do even more with Murray in COVID protocols. Not to mention, this is a revenge game for Jakob, facing the Toronto team that never gave him a chance.
Cash Game Considerations
Russell Westbrook (PG – LAL): $10,200 DraftKings, $9,000 FanDuel
Russ isn’t getting the credit that LBJ is, but he’s still been amazing ever since AD went down. In fact, Westbrook has at least 46 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games, picking up a triple-double in four of those. That’s the stud we’ve become accustomed to, and we adore that in a matchup like this. Sacramento sits eighth in pace, 28th in points allowed, and 27th in defensive efficiency. In their first two meetings this season, Russ is averaging 26 points, 7.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
Chris Paul (PG – PHX): $7,400 DraftKings, $7,800 FanDuel
CP3 is having another fantastic year in what’s become a Hall-of-Fame career, averaging 39 fantasy points per game this season. That alone makes this pricing hard to understand, especially with Paul scoring at least 36 DK points in five of his last six outings. That should be easy to duplicate against New Orleans, with the Pelicans surrendering the second-most fantasy points to opposing point guards.
R.J. Barrett (SG/SF – NYK): $5,600 DraftKings, $5,900 FanDuel
Barrett has been far from a cash game option this season, but the absences in New York have led to that. The Knicks are expected to be without Randle, Rose, and Walker, leaving Barrett with all the touches he can handle. That has led to R.J. scoring at least 27 DraftKings points in three straight outings, taking a shot for every two minutes he’s on the floor. That’s awesome since he could be looking at 40 minutes and 20 shots, making him an excellent play around $6K.
GPP Targets
De’Aaron Fox (PG – SAC): $7,100 DraftKings, $7,000 FanDuel
There’s no doubt that Fox has really struggled recently, but his price is getting way too cheap. That’s why he’s a GPP option, having the ability to be a 40-point and $9K player. The biggest reason we believe he can reach that is this matchup, with the Lakers ranked first in pace and 26th in total defense. They’re also surrendering the most fantasy points to opposing point guards, and that blistering pace is perfect for a speed-demon like Fox. De’Aaron is averaging over 43 fantasy points per game in their two meetings this season.
Immanuel Quickley (PG – NYK): $4,400 DraftKings, $4,700 FanDuel
We just mentioned that New York is without three of their best ball-handlers, which should lead to a huge role for Quickley. That has allowed Immanuel to play at least 29 minutes in four of his last five games, averaging 23 DK points per game in that span. You can’t ask for any more from such a cheap player, and we genuinely believe he has 40-point potential if he gets rolling.
Damian Jones (C – SAC): $4,000 DraftKings, $4,000 FanDuel
I really don’t trust this play, but we have to go with the numbers! Jones got a rare start in the Kings most recent game, playing 29 minutes in the absence of Richaun Holmes. He dropped 36 fantasy points in that gem and should provide an easy double-double if the playing time is that prominent. We already talked about how good of a matchup Los Angeles is, which only adds to his intrigue.
Value Plays
Obi Toppin (PF – NYK): $5,200 DraftKings, $5,300 FanDuel
With Randle out for the Knicks, Toppin should get another start. He played 45 minutes in that masterpiece, providing a career-best 41 fantasy points. He really hasn’t done anything close to that throughout his career, but we’re willing to take that risk with Obi sitting at such an affordable price tag.
Malik Monk (SG – LAL): $5,100 DraftKings, $5,600 FanDuel
This is another price that I just don’t understand. Monk has been a critical piece for the Lakers for a month now, playing 30 minutes a night over the last 15 games. He’s been asked to do even more since AD went out, providing a 30-point average across 34 minutes a night since his return off the COVID IL. Good luck finding that from another $5K player, particularly against a putrid defense like the Kings.
Devin Vassell (SG/SF – SAS): $4,400 DraftKings, $4,800 FanDuel
I hate to use a one-game sample size, but this dude literally played 41 minutes and shot 12 threes in the Spurs most recent game. That’s a truly absurd total from such a cheap player, and it looks like he’ll be one of the focal points of the offense with Murray out of the lineup. Not to mention, Toronto owns a 25th OPRK against opposing wings as well!
