Injury News
Chase Claypool suffers hamstring injury Wednesday
Chase Claypool suffered a hamstring injury at practice Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
He did not finish practice, but he did stay on the field. This doesn’t look like a severe injury, but we should know more over the next few days. He’ll look to carve a role for himself in the passing game alongside DJ Moore, Darnell Mooney, and Cole Kmet.

Garrett Wilson took handful of practice reps Thursday
Garrett Wilson (ankle) took a handful of reps in 11 on 11 drills, catching two passes and did not appear to have any issues cutting on the field.
Fantasy Impact
Wilson appears to be healing faster than expected from a low-ankle sprain. The second-year wideout was originally not expected to participate in team drills in the Jets’ joint practice with the Panthers, so this is a positive sign for fantasy managers.

George Kittle absent from practice Thursday
George Kittle did not participate in practice Thursday due to an adductor strain.
Fantasy Impact
Kittle is expected to miss a week, per 49ers’ head coach Kyle Shanahan. The injury should not be considered too serious with it being during the first week of the preseason. Kittle currently ranks as the TE4 in ECR, according to FantasyPros.

Miles Sanders tweaks groin in practice Wednesday
Panthers coach Frank Reich said Miles Sanders tweaked his groin in practice on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Sanders will not play in the Panthers first preseason game against the Jets. He added that pretty much everyone else should expect to play including QB Bryce Young, who will start. Sanders injury will be one to monitor, but Carolina is likely playing it safe with him this early in August.

NFL Training Camp Notes
Jordan Love will play Friday against Bengals
Jordan Love will play in Friday’s preseason opener for the Green Bay Packers against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Fantasy Impact
Love enters his first season as the starting quarterback for the Packers after the team traded Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets in the offseason, and the 2020 first-round pick will likely get every opportunity to prove the organization right with the help of running backs Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon as well as pass-catching options Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, and Luke Musgrave this upcoming season.

Justin Fields will play in preseason opener Saturday
Justin Fields will play for the Chicago Bears against the Tennessee Titans in the team’s preseason opener Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
It is unknown how much playing time Fields will see Saturday, as the Bears will likely want to make sure the star quarterback avoids injury heading into a crucial third year behind center. With wideout DJ Moore acquired from the Carolina Panthers in the offseason, Fields has all of the potential to be a fantasy steal for fantasy owners this upcoming season.

Lamar Jackson will not play Saturday
Lamar Jackson will not play for the Baltimore Ravens against the Philadelphia Eagles in the team’s preseason opener Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
Jackson will sit out with a majority of his offensive weapons Saturday according to Ravens head coach John Harbaugh. Fantasy owners can still draft Jackson with confidence in hopes he flourishes with new pass-catching weapons Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham Jr. as well as the return to health for running back J.K. Dobbins this upcoming season.

Anthony Richardson starting in Saturday’s preseason game
Anthony Richardson is expected to start and play about one quarter in the Colts’ first preseason game.
Fantasy Impact
Colts’ head coach Shane Steichen stated that starters should play around one quarter, meaning we should get a good look at the offense under Richardson. The 21-year-old rookie has received a lot of high praise for his play in Colts’ training camp and will face his first test against Buffalo Saturday. Richardson currently ranks as the QB18 in ECR, according to FantasyPros.
