9 Dynasty Players to Sell High (2025 Fantasy Football)

9 Dynasty Players to Sell High (2025 Fantasy Football)

As we approach the NFL Draft, it’s time to start looking at our dynasty rosters and seeing where we can profit most. Draft picks are becoming more and more valuable while players are getting downgraded. Below are nine players whose value is likely at their peak that I would trade away in dynasty leagues. Use our dynasty trade calculator to gauge values.

2025 NFL Draft Guide: Mock Drafts, Scouting Reports & More

Pre-Draft Sell High Dynasty Targets

Josh Allen (QB – BUF)

Anytime a player gets to the top of the rankings at their position, my mind immediately looks to pivot off of him. This is why Josh Allen makes the list. That top tier of dynasty quarterbacks is pretty large, and if I can trade Allen for another quarterback in the same tier plus a piece, that feels like a no-brainer.

I get the Allen love, but give me Jalen Hurts or Joe Burrow and a second, or C.J. Stroud or Patrick Mahomes and a first, if you can get that. Keep Allen’s output while also reloading for the future.

De’Von Achane (RB – MIA)

I’ll be honest, when I saw De’Von Achane was ranked as the dynasty RB5, I did a double-take. Incoming rookie Ashton Jeanty is already ranked ahead of him as the dynasty RB4 in expert consensus rankings (ECR). That feels crazy.

However, if someone wants to give me another top-12 back and another player for Achane, I’m doing that in a heartbeat. Achane might struggle this year or maybe the Dolphins draft another running back to compete with him. They have a history of utilizing a running back by committee. I’m fine getting out of Achane at what I think is his peak right now.

Bucky Irving (RB – TB)

Another name that’s been making the rounds in dynasty circles is Bucky Irving. His current ECR of RB8 in dynasty feels about right, but I know people who are holding him in even higher regard than that.

If I can tier up from him to Bijan Robinson by adding a second-round pick, I’m doing that in a heartbeat. Some people are so high on Irving that they’re paying insane prices, and that means he’s a great sell-high candidate.

Kyren Williams (RB – LAR)

I’ve tried trading for Kyren Williams in a few leagues, and it’s been almost impossible to acquire him. This makes me think I’m valuing him lower than most, which means he would be a great sell-high option.

If you agree and can move shares of Williams for another running back plus a backup, I think that’s the right move. Running backs are all pretty risky, so I love having a lot of depth at the position. I’d much rather have a combo of Chase Brown and Zach Charbonnet or something similar than Williams alone.

Malik Nabers (WR – NYG)

Dynasty managers love young receivers, and rightly so. Malik Nabers is currently ranked as the dynasty WR4 in ECR — that feels risky. The Giants’ quarterback situation is still a little messy. They signed Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson. They could still draft a signal-caller later this month.

All of that turmoil makes me hesitant to get on the Nabers train at the moment. I’d much rather send Nabers and a pick for a more stable receiver like Ja’Marr Chase or Justin Jefferson and sleep better at night.

Dynasty Draft Kit 2025

Puka Nacua (WR – LAR)

Puka Nacua has been a dynasty darling his entire two-year career. Ever since he broke out, his value has been steadily rising. At some point, the ride has to come to an end, and now that Cooper Kupp is gone, this might be the year.

The Rams look a little chaotic right now, waffling between a contender and a team looking to rebuild. If I can move off a risky Nacua for a more stable asset by adding a small asset, I’m doing that all day. Depending on your team’s needs, you might be able to get from Nacua to Jahmyr Gibbs pretty easily.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba (WR – SEA)

I understand the rise in Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s value over the past few months, but I’m worried it’s a mirage. The loss of fellow wide receiver DK Metcalf and quarterback Geno Smith could be good for him, but it could also be bad.

All of that uncertainty makes Smith-Njigba a great sell-high player. His current ECR of WR13 in dynasty seems like a great time to get out. I just don’t see him being a solid WR1 option in 12-team leagues. I love his upside, but his downside is terrifying. Get out while you can.

Sam LaPorta (TE – DET)

Tight ends are quickly becoming a field of landmines, and Sam LaPorta is a perfect example of that. The Lions lost their offensive mind in Ben Johnson, who is now the head coach of the Bears. The offense is largely staying the same, but without the play-caller, I’m hesitant to get excited.

LaPorta is the current dynasty TE3 in ECR after a rough 2024 season. I’d much rather sell him at that price and take a chance on any of the 10 tight ends ranked behind him and add another upside shot to my bench.

T.J. Hockenson (TE – MIN)

Another tight end I’m getting away from is T.J. Hockenson, who had a rough 2024. His current dynasty ECR of TE5 feels insane. Give me Mark Andrews, Evan Engram or Travis Kelce over Hockenson.

The Vikings’ offense runs through Justin Jefferson. With second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy at the helm, I’m fine moving Hockenson in my fantasy football rankings. If you can move him now before the market adjusts, I say do it.
