Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team, Half-PPR (2025)

Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team, Half-PPR (2025)

I can feel it in the air. There’s nothing like the way fantasy football talk heats up after the NFL Draft and sustains through the summer.  Today we’re mock drafting. Of course, we’re using FantasyPros’ fantasy football mock draft simulator.

I’m going with the settings of my longest-running home league: 12 teams, half-PPR, 1-QB and two Flex spots. You can see the full results here.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft

1.10: Christian McCaffrey (RB – SF)

I’m more than willing to draft Christian McCaffrey in the first round and bank on him being healthy to start the season until we’re told otherwise. All signs are pointing that way.

The key with this pick is to make sure to handcuff McCaffrey with his backup, Isaac Guerendo, before anyone else even thinks about selecting him.

2.03: A.J. Brown (WR – PHI)

A.J. Brown endured some workload turmoil last year and he’ll be 28 to start this season, but his ceiling on any given week is sky high.

I considered De’Von Achane here; my only hesitation being the number of talented runners in the Miami backfield. Brock Bowers would be nice, but I think there are some solid late-round tight end options this season.

3.10: Terry McLaurin (WR – WSH)

I understand Washington brought in Deebo Samuel. That’s not enough for me to let 2024’s WR6 to keep falling, though.

McLaurin has 1,000+ receiving yards five years in a row and is the No. 1 target in Kliff Kingsbury’s offense led by Jayden Daniels.

4.03: Davante Adams (WR – LAR)

Davante Adams averaged 78 yards per game with a geriatric Aaron Rodgers last season. Garrett Wilson was in that receiver room, too.

Puka Nacua should still be the Rams’ top dog, but there’s more than enough to go around in Sean McVay’s receiver-friendly offense.

5.10: Tony Pollard (RB – TEN)

Tony Pollard was the RB21 last season on a Titans team that was in the bottom seven in points scored. He just turned 28, and has more than enough gas left in the tank.

With Cam Ward at the helm, the Titans’ offense should improve, and Pollard will reap the benefits.

6.03: Jaylen Waddle (WR – MIA)

Tyreek Hill can’t seem to stay out of the news, and he’s now 31 years old. This could be the season Jaylen Waddle finally surpasses Hill as the Dolphins’ No. 1 WR.

Tua Tagovailoa is still the quarterback and Mike McDaniel is still calling the plays. Waddle as my WR4 provides crazy value.

7.10: Brian Robinson Jr. (RB – WSH)

Brian Robinson Jr. is entering his fourth NFL season. He has averaged nearly 1,000 all-purpose yards per season. Robinson profiles as the workhorse back for a high-scoring Commanders offense. It’s not a sexy pick, but it’s an effective one.

8.03: Travis Kelce (TE – KC)

The perennial fantasy TE1 isn’t returning for a 13th NFL season just to fizzle out. He’s not happy with how last season ended for the Chiefs.

Kelce is a touchdown regression candidate, scoring just three in 16 regular-season games last season. By all accounts, 2024 was disappointing for Kelce, and he still ended up as the TE6.

9.10: Caleb Williams (QB – CHI)

Caleb Williams is going into Year 2 with Ben Johnson calling the plays and a host of new and exciting weapons around him, including a revamped offensive line.

That new offensive environment, knowing I’ll also likely be drafting another quarterback later, excites the crap out of me.

10.03: Isaac Guerendo (RB – SF)

I said I was going to take Isaac Guerendo as my McCaffrey handcuff before my league mates even thought about him, and that’s exactly what I did.

11.10: MarShawn Lloyd (RB – GB)

I was high on MarShawn Lloyd heading into last season after the Packers drafted him in the third round. Unfortunately, he missed lots of time dealing with injuries. Assuming he’s healthy heading into 2025, he’s the clear handcuff to Josh Jacobs.

12.03: Marvin Mims (WR – DEN)

Not long ago (2023), Marvin Mims was a second-round NFL Draft pick. Mims was the fantasy WR6 over the last three weeks of the 2024 season.

Mims is the favorite to be Bo Nix‘s No. 2 WR after Courtland Sutton. Most 12th-round picks in fantasy are very cuttable should they not pan out, so I’m looking for ceiling this late.

13.10: Kyle Pitts (TE – ATL)

Remember when I said I’m drafting for ceiling at this point?

14.03: Trevor Lawrence (QB – JAX)

Liam Coen made Baker Mayfield look like a game-changer during their time in Tampa. Now, Coen leads the Jaguars, and Trevor Lawrence has some serious weapons at his disposal. Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter will be an electric duo.
