Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft: Two Rounds (2025 Fantasy Football)

Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft: Two Rounds (2025 Fantasy Football)

This article is for all the 1QB dynasty players out there. We’ll be diving into a two-round dynasty rookie mock draft tailored to a 12-team, 1QB, PPR format. I personally play in a 1QB league-my longest-running dynasty league with my hometown friends-so this mock draft doubles as a helpful prep session for my own upcoming rookie draft. Without further ado, here are my top 24 rookie selections!

Round 1

1.01 – Ashton Jeanty (RB – LV)

The 1.01 in rookie drafts is, was, and always will be Ashton Jeanty. It truly doesn’t matter the format; Jeanty is in a tier of his own at the top spot here. This young man led the FBS in rush yards, rushing touchdowns, yards after contact, and breakaway yards in 2024, and it wasn’t even close. He’s walking into a workhorse role in Las Vegas and could compete for RB1 overall honors in Year 1.

1.02 – Omarion Hampton (RB – LAC)

Omarion Hampton checks every box you could ask for from a dynasty perspective. He has the size, speed, production profile, and draft capital to develop into an elite NFL player and a foundational piece for our dynasty teams. Landing on a Jim Harbaugh-led offense gives us even more reason to be bullish. Don’t worry about Najee Harris; he received backup money and will be nothing more than a handcuff by midseason.

1.03 – Travis Hunter (WR – JAX)

Don’t listen to the noise out of OTAs suggesting Hunter is not a polished route runner. He’ll be just fine. Jacksonville wouldn’t have given up the haul they did if they didn’t fully expect to play him full-time at wide receiver. You simply don’t pay that price for a full-time cornerback. He’ll get some defensive snaps, but it’ll likely just be specific packages.

I’ve also heard some rumblings about target share concerns in Jacksonville, insinuating Brian Thomas Jr. and Hunter can’t both put up WR1 (Top 12) numbers. I don’t believe this will be an issue at all. BTJ and Hunter will take the lion’s share of the passing attack, while the remaining skill players will pick up the scraps.

1.04 – Tetairoa McMillan (WR – CAR)

McMillan is another prospect with virtually no holes in his profile. He’s an early declare, an early breakout in college, earned Top 10 draft capital and is walking into a situation where he should be the top wide receiver option from Day 1. Don’t be scared off by this Carolina offense; Dave Canales has this team headed in the right direction, and they should be an above-average offense moving forward.

1.05 – Quinshon Judkins (RB – CLE)

There’s a pretty significant tier drop after 1.04 in 1QB formats, and you could honestly go a number of ways with this pick. I’ll continue to lean in favor of Quinshon Judkins, RB, out of Ohio State. Judkins certainly has some red flags to his profile: his career yards after contact per attempt (3.23), missed tackles forced per attempt (.27), and breakaway rate (39.5%) are all well below average for your typical Day 2 running back. That said, he was a true freshman breakout in the SEC, was an early declare, and should be stepping into that RB1 role for Cleveland right away. There’s enough to like with Judkins’ profile that I wouldn’t be overly concerned.

1.06 – Colston Loveland (TE – CHI)

If you’re playing in a Tight End Premium format, I’d take Loveland over Judkins, but in your typical PPR league, he sits comfortably as my sixth overall rookie. Loveland was perhaps my favorite film evaluation among all the positions in this class. He moves like a wide receiver but has the strength to play in-line as well, and his ability to haul in passes away from his body is truly spectacular. Loveland was basically this entire Michigan Wolverine passing offense in 2025, demanding nearly a 38% target rate.

While target competition will be tough in Year 1, I’m not concerned over the long run with Loveland. He was hand-picked by new HC Ben Johnson and received top-10 draft capital. He’s going to be utilized.

1.07 – TreVeyon Henderson (RB – NE)

I think Henderson will typically be going around the 1.05 spot in 1QB rookie drafts, so I’m a little below market, but I still believe he’s a talented player with real fantasy upside. The downside here is that Henderson was never a true bell cow in college, and I don’t see the same big-play ability someone like Jahmyr Gibbs or De’Von Achane has, where they can dominate from a fantasy perspective with limited touches. But like Judkins, Henderson was a true freshman breakout, and he may just be the best pass protector in this draft class. Pairing up with a future star in Drake Maye can’t be bad, either.

1.08 – Tyler Warren (TE – IND)

Has Indianapolis finally found its tight end of the future? The John Mackey Award winner should be an immediate impact player for the Colts; it’s just a matter of quarterback competence at this point. Warren didn’t break out until Year 5 for the Nittany Lions, but in his defense, he played alongside Theo Johnson, Brenton Strange, Pat Freiermuth, and Zack Kuntz at one point or another in his career. Warren has the versatility to be utilized in a variety of packages in Indianapolis, and I look forward to seeing how he performs.

1.09 – Emeka Egbuka (WR – TB)

Most of us were scratching our heads at the Emeka Egbuka pick on draft night, as Tampa has Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Jalen McMillan all returning for 2025. With Godwin primarily operating out of the slot, Egbuka’s opportunities may be somewhat limited as a rookie, but he’ll get his turn to break out soon enough. Tampa went with the “best guy available” strategy with their 19th overall pick, and I’m sure they fully intend to make Egbuka a central point of this offense as Evans and Godwin age out. Egbuka is a route technician with sticky hands and should be a PPR monster once he’s fully let loose.

1.10 – Kaleb Johnson (RB – PIT)

Kaleb Johnson fell to Round 3 of the NFL Draft but finds himself in a great spot, playing under OC Arthur Smith in what should be a run-heavy offense, assuming they can stay in games. Johnson was a beast for the Hawkeyes in 2024, rushing for over 1,500 yards and 21 touchdowns while averaging 4.42 yards after contact. Jaylen Warren isn’t going away, but Kaleb should get the majority of the looks here.

1.11 – R.J. Harvey (RB – DEN)

Harvey wins the “best landing spot” award for rookie RBs, heading to Denver to play under HC Sean Payton and taking on a three-down role. The only competition in this backfield is Audric Estime and Jaleel McLaughlin, so Harvey should be in line for a big Year 1. He posted back-to-back seasons of 1,400+ rush yards and 16+ rushing touchdowns at UCF. The only downside is that Harvey is already 24 years old, so his shelf life may be somewhat shorter than that of some of the other listed players.

1.12 – Tre Harris (WR – LAC)

I wasn’t in love with Harris’ game from a film perspective, but when you average 5.12 yards per route run in your final season of college, I’m not going to fade you. Harris lands in a nice spot where he can compete for WR2 honors behind Ladd McConkey and is tied to an elite franchise quarterback in Justin Herbert. Harris should complement McConkey well, as they help take defensive attention off one another. Harris feels like someone with a safe floor and Top 24 upside at his position.
