The DraftKings slate that we are looking at today is the main slate in the mid-afternoon. That DFS slate includes the eight games that begin at either 2:05 or 2:10 p.m. ET. FanDuel has an identical slate, which always makes for an easy comparison of pricing.

Saturday’s Top MLB DFS Picks & Player Props
Saturday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings (6/14)
- If you like to get a high-priced pitcher, this is an excellent slate for you. Jacob DeGrom interests me the most. While he hasn’t struck out batters at the pace of Hunter Brown or Joe Ryan, he also has a better matchup than those two, who oppose each other. The Rangers ace is against the White Sox, who have a 23.5% strikeout rate on the season.
- The season has not gone well for Spencer Strider. He has already been on the injured list (IL) twice this season and has lost all five of his starts. His strikeout rate is down to 22.4%, which is nearly 15 percentage points down from his career high of a few seasons ago. He gets the Colorado Rockies on the road today. On the road this season, the Rockies have an abysmal 58 wRC+. This could be the start of a Strider turnaround. His price is especially interesting on FanDuel.
- There aren’t any low-priced options that interest me. The cheapest option I’d consider is Tyler Anderson against the Baltimore Orioles. Baltimore has the second-worst wRC+ this season against left-handed pitchers at 61. They also strike out 25% of the time against left-handed pitchers.

- The Philadelphia Phillies are playing an Interleague game against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays are starting Bowden Francis. Francis started against the Phillies on June 3rd. He gave up six earned runs in that game in only 1.2 innings. Blowup starts like this are always possible with a hard-hit rate against of 50.8%, which is one of the worst marks in all of baseball. His issues against left-handers have to be noted. Francis has allowed 14 home runs and a 1.017 OPS against left-handed hitters.
- One of those lefty options is Kyle Schwarber. Schwarber is one of four batters with over 20 home runs this season. He has hit 12 since the start of May. In that period, nearly half of his balls have been hard hit with a 47.3% hard-hit rate.
- There are two other Phillies who have more than five home runs since the start of May. Trea Turner is one of them, which is likely unsurprising. There are many different avenues for him to return fantasy points with his power and speed combination while also batting leadoff.
- The other Phillies hitter with over five home runs since the start of May is Alec Bohm. After a tough start to the season, Bohm has been quite valuable. He has hit all six of his home runs since the start of May and is batting .333. He is still hitting groundballs at too high of a rate (52%), but he has been producing the last six weeks.
- If you want a bit of a cheaper option, consider Max Kepler. Would you believe he has the second-best hard-hit rate on the Phillies at 37.9%?

- Have we seen the turnaround of the Texas Rangers’ offense? On the season, they are still a bottom-five offense in OPS and runs scored. However, over the past two weeks, they are back in the top 10 in OPS and top five in runs scored. The White Sox are expected to start Mike Vasil against the Rangers today. That would likely mean a bullpen game from the White Sox, as Vasil has not thrown 60 pitches in a game yet this season.
- Let’s start with Evan Carter. He has been white-hot recently with 10 hits in his last 18 at-bats. Five of the hits were extra-base hits, including three home runs. However, he did leave last night’s game early with wrist soreness, so make sure that he is in the lineup.
- Another hot hitter in the Rangers’ lineup is Jake Burger. He already has three home runs since the calendar turned to June. No Ranger has a higher hard-hit rate on the season than Burger’s 42.6%.
- The cold start of Marcus Semien has kept his price relatively low, but he has heated up recently. Over his last 12 games, he has four home runs, three stolen bases and is batting .429. He will slow down, but now is the chance to take advantage of a discount on a notoriously streaky hitter.

Core Studs
- Even when Juan Soto was struggling relative to expectations, he continued to pummel the ball. Now, the counting stats are catching up with five home runs in his last 12 games.
- Jeremy Pena just keeps hitting. He has had four straight multi-hit games and multiple hits in nine of his last 12 games. It’s not just singles either, as he has at least one extra-base hit in five of those games.
- Ivan Herrera has been one of the breakout catchers of the 2025 season. A big reason for that is that he has handled left-handed pitchers all season. He has a 1.106 OPS against left-handed pitchers. Today, he is opposed by Jose Quintana.
Value Plays/Punts
- The Toronto Blue Jays have a tough matchup against left-handed pitcher Cristopher Sanchez. Ernie Clement has pounded left-handers this season, though. All four of his home runs have come against left-handed pitchers, which is why he has a 1.198 OPS against them.
- Jo Adell’s expected statistics have never looked better, including a .550 expected slugging percentage. With four home runs in the past week, the actual statistics are starting to catch up.
- The reason that Jac Caglianone is still this cheap is that bad luck has suppressed the rookie’s statistics through his first 10 games. His batting average is only .225 with two doubles as his only extra-base hits. Yet, his expected batting average is .311 and he has a 51.7% hard-hit rate. His first hit over the wall is coming soon.

Saturday’s Top 3 Underdog Player Props
Bowden Francis’ issues against left-handed hitters were discussed above. Kyle Schwarber may just drive himself in. If not, there will be plenty of opportunities batting in the top third of the Phillies’ lineup to score a run.
Josh Naylor is on a heater right now. He has exceeded this total base mark in each of his last four games. Before this hot stretch, he had a six-game streak where he didn’t reach two total bases.
Before that, he had another stretch where he eclipsed 1.5 total bases in seven games. You can see how streaky Naylor can be. Ride the hot streak in a matchup against Ryan Bergert.
Rob Refsnyder is a known left-handed masher, but today he is opposed by one of the best left-handed starting pitchers in Carlos Rodon. Refsnyder is likely to start this game, but then be removed later.
The last game he started and finished was on May 23rd. He may only get three plate appearances to reach a combined 1.5 hits + runs + RBI. Going back to May 23rd, Refsnyder has appeared in 12 games. He only cleared this mark in two of those games.
