- It’s not an easy matchup for Freddy Peralta against the Los Angeles Dodgers. That said, he is still the top option on this slate. He has at least six strikeouts in eight of his last nine starts, and has yet to give up more than four earned runs in any start all season.
- Ryne Nelson is at his best when he leans into his fastball. In the last game he pitched, he only threw it 54% of the time. It was his worst start in over a month. Before that, he pitched four straight starts with at least 20 points on DraftKings.
- Kumar Rocker’s most recent game included allowing six earned runs over 4.1 innings against the Angels. Going into that game, it had seemed he was starting to figure something out with four consecutive starts of at least five innings and no more than two earned runs allowed. Rocker has a difficult matchup against the Tigers today.

- Whenever the Yankees face a left-handed pitcher, you have to take notice. The Yankees have the highest OPS in baseball against left-handed pitchers (.800). Today, they are expected to be opposed by left-handed pitcher Joey Wentz. Wentz has already been waived twice this season by the Twins and Pirates. He has a 6.32 ERA over 37 innings.
- If you can find the money for Aaron Judge, it’s never a bad idea to get him into your lineup. He is fantastic against everyone, but has an absurd 1.355 OPS against left-handed pitchers, with 17 extra-base hits in only 74 at-bats.
- Paul Goldschmidt is third in baseball in OPS against left-handed pitchers behind only MVP candidates Judge and Cal Raleigh. He has 17 extra-base hits against left-handed pitchers in only 92 at-bats. He has only 14 extra-base hits against right-handed pitchers in 242 at-bats.
- The third of the Yankees trio who crushes left-handed pitching is Cody Bellinger. He has a 1.054 OPS against left-handed pitchers, which is the fifth-best mark in all of baseball.

- The Twins have the benefit of going to Coors Field. Statcast has Coors Field back to being the best hitters’ park. They also have the benefit of facing Antonio Senzatela. Senzatela has a 6.60 ERA and leads baseball in hits allowed with 140. That means he is giving up nearly 14 hits per nine innings.
- Byron Buxton is still healthy. If you have the money, he is in play. He has a hard-hit rate of 55.3%, which is one of the best marks in baseball.
- Carlos Correa has been mostly disappointing in 2025. However, he is starting to show signs of life. Over his last 21 games, he has an .827 OPS with a couple of home runs.
- The Twins have two platoon bats who have both high ceilings and very low floors in Trevor Larnach and Matt Wallner. Larnach has hit 12 of his 13 home runs against right-handed pitchers. Wallner only has 28 hits in 143 at-bats against right-handed pitchers this season. He has made the most of them, though, with 15 of those hits being extra-base hits.

Core Studs
- Gunnar Henderson is being opposed today by Zack Littell. He has gone 7-for-21 against Littell in his career with two home runs.
- Another player with a good history against his opposing starting pitcher is Jose Ramirez. Ramirez is going up against Luis Severino today. Ramirez is 6-for-19 against Severino in his career with three home runs.
- After a slow start to his big league career, Nick Kurtz has been terrorizing Major League pitching. In only 11 games in July, he already has five home runs.
Value Plays/Punts
- Andy Pages has been cold recently, which is why his price has fallen to the value play range. That said, he still has an .804 OPS on the season, and has been much better at home.
- Colt Keith was settling in before the All-Star break. Over the last 28 days, Keith has an .898 OPS.
- Michael Toglia is only playable in home games. He has an .814 OPS at home and a .493 OPS on the road. Today, he is at home and is opposed by right-handed pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson.

Saturday’s Top 3 Underdog Player Props
Shota Imanaga has a 1.33 ERA in road games this season. That number spikes to 4.61 at home as he has given up nine home runs there. Today’s forecast is for the wind to be blowing out at Wrigley.
CJ Abrams is on a real tear. He has cleared a combined 1.5 hits + runs + RBI in 12 of his last 13 starts. Today, he gets Yu Darvish, who is still rounding into form after his long absence to start the season.
Mitchell Parker’s earned runs allowed number set at 2.5 is frankly shocking. Going back to the start of May, he has only missed the mark in two out of 13 starts. He has exceeded it in the last four games, including one against the San Diego Padres, whom he faces today.
