Fantasy Football Mailbag: Streamers, Waiver Wire & Trades (2025)

Everyone loves an Ask Me Anything (AMA), especially the fantasy football community. You can put me at the top of the list of those who love fantasy football AMA. Answering questions for a specific individual fantasy player is so much fun. Not only am I helping that fantasy player improve their team, but it also challenges me to think outside the general box of who is higher in my rankings or who to start this year.

FantasyPros does an excellent job with their Discord AMAs, giving members a chance to have their questions answered by professionals. Please join my Discord channel and reach out to me anytime with any fantasy football questions.

FantasyPros Waiver Wire Advice

Fantasy Football Discord AMA & Mailbag

So, without further ado, let’s dive into some of the questions and answers from my Week 11 Discord AMA.

Lineup Questions

Between Bo Nix, Joe Flacco, Jacoby Brissett, and J.J. McCarthy, which two quarterbacks should I start this week?

You have three really appealing options in Flacco, Brissett, and McCarthy. All three are in my quarterback streamers article this week. However, I would go with Flacco and Brissett. The two veterans have been outstanding lately as the starters. Flacco has averaged 313.5 passing yards, 2.8 touchdowns, and 24.9 fantasy points per game since getting traded, including 26 against the Pittsburgh Steelers a few weeks ago. Brissett has scored at least 19.4 fantasy points in all four starts this season.

Who should I bench between A.J. Brown, George Pickens, and Ashton Jeanty?

Jeanty is the easy call after scoring at least 15.3 PPR fantasy points in both games since the bye week. The rookie has an excellent matchup against a struggling Dallas Cowboys defense. Meanwhile, Brown has more upside in what should be a high-scoring contest against the Detroit Lions, but he has been wildly inconsistent. Therefore, I would start Pickens over him because the former Georgia star has been far more consistent, scoring 12.2 or more fantasy points in every game since Week 1.

Waiver Wire Questions

Should I add Tez Johnson or Parker Washington off the waiver wire?

Both wide receivers are solid adds off the waiver wire this week. However, I would rather have Johnson over Washington. The Jacksonville Jaguars should get Jakobi Meyers more involved moving forward. Furthermore, Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunte will return from injury sooner than later, limiting Washington’s upside. Meanwhile, Johnson could remain the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ No. 2 wide receiver for the foreseeable future with Chris Godwin and Mike Evans expected to miss multiple more weeks with injuries.

TreVeyon Henderson Questions

Is TreVeyon Henderson‘s breakout for real?

That’s the million-dollar question this week. The New England Patriots were finally forced to make Henderson the featured running back in Week 10, with Rhamondre Stevenson missing the game with a toe injury and Terrell Jennings leaving the contest with a knee injury. The rookie had 14 rushing attempts for 147 yards, two touchdowns, and 28 PPR fantasy points, scoring multiple long scoring runs. Hopefully, he continues to shine with three excellent matchups before the Week 14 bye. Keep your fingers crossed.

Who would you rather have for the rest of the season, between TreVeyon Henderson and Woody Marks?

Both rookie running backs had strong fantasy performances this week. Henderson had 147 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and 28 PPR fantasy points against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Meanwhile, Marks turned into the Houston Texans’ featured running back, totaling 16 touches for 81 scrimmage yards, a touchdown, and 16.1 fantasy points. While both could have excellent second halves to the season, I would rather have Henderson because he plays on a better offense with more scoring opportunities.

Trade Questions

Would you trade Justin Jefferson and Kimani Vidal for Bijan Robinson and Brian Thomas Jr. in PPR?

I would make this deal for two reasons. The first is that you would be getting the best player in the trade. While Robinson scored only 10.8 PPR fantasy points on Sunday, the former Texas star has been one of the top players in fantasy football despite limited touchdown production. The second is that Vidal’s time as a fantasy impact player is nearly over, as Omarion Hampton could return following the Los Angeles Chargers’ Week 12 bye.

Should I trade DK Metcalf for Omarion Hampton if I have a winning record?

Unfortunately, Metcalf’s production has fallen off a cliff after a solid start to the season. The veteran has averaged 5.8 targets and 8.4 PPR fantasy points per game over the past month, totaling eight or fewer fantasy points in all but the one contest he found the end zone. Meanwhile, Hampton could return from an ankle injury following the Week 12 bye. If you have a winning record and solid wide receiver depth, I would make the trade as the rookie has league-winning upside.

Dynasty Questions

Would you buy low on Justin Jefferson and trade Tetairoa McMillan and a 2026 first-round pick for him?

While Jefferson hasn’t been a superstar with J.J. McCarthy under center, he has been solid, averaging 14.7 PPR fantasy points per game this season. More importantly, fantasy players shouldn’t give up on him despite the less-than-ideal production. McCarthy is only four games into his career and will get better with time. Furthermore, the Minnesota Vikings have one of the best offensive coaching staffs in the NFL, led by head coach Kevin O’Connell. As much as I like McMillan, I would make this trade for Jefferson.
