Fantasy Football Injury Report & Updates (2025)

Week 12 still has the San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers left to play on Monday night. Still, there are some injuries to highlight, including a star wide receiver. That said, this week was thankfully not as injury-heavy.

See this week’s injury report below to help you prepare for Week 13. And here are all of our fantasy football waiver wire pickups for NFL Week 13.

Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Quarterback

Jacoby Brissett (QB – ARI)

Jacoby Brissett left the game but later returned to the Cardinals’ home loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The injury was to his shoulder, but again, he did return. Still, this will be something to monitor, as we’ve seen players return to games with an injury only to be ruled out later.

We’ll see if this could be an opening for Kyler Murray to return. That said, Brissett threw for 317 yards and a touchdown.

Baker Mayfield (QB – TB)

Baker Mayfield left the Buccaneers’ loss to the Los Angeles Rams early with a shoulder injury. Then, on the final throw before halftime, he went down, gripping his left shoulder. Teddy Bridgewater filled in for him.

With this being a left shoulder sprain injury — not his throwing shoulder — Mayfield could play in Week 13. This move could’ve been due to the Buccaneers trailing heavily at the end of the first half.

Still, we’ll need more information during the week before we can determine whether he’ll suit up in Week 13. If he doesn’t, this would seriously impact the Buccaneers’ pass-catchers.

Running Back

Alvin Kamara (RB – NO)

Alvin Kamara suffered a knee injury in the Saints’ loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The injury appeared to occur after he was twisted up following a tackle by Falcons linebacker Kaden Elliss. He had just 11 rushing yards and four receiving yards.

With Kendre Miller out for the season, Devin Neal would be the go-to back for the Saints if Kamara can’t go in Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins.

Tahj Brooks (RB – CIN)

Tahj Brooks left the Bengals’ loss to the New England Patriots with a concussion. He had just seven carries all season heading into this game and has no fantasy football value.

Wide Receiver

Tee Higgins (WR – CIN)

With Ja’Marr Chase sidelined after spitting on Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey last week, Higgins was the No. 1 WR in the Bengals’ loss to the Patriots, but he left with an apparent concussion. He caught five passes for 31 yards before departing.

The Bengals will get Chase back, but if Higgins misses time, Andrei Iosivas, who led the team with four catches for 61 yards, could be viewed as the No. 2 WR.

DK Metcalf (WR – PIT)

DK Metcalf never left the field during the Steelers’ loss to the Chicago Bears, but he was seen limping off a few times. This is something to keep an eye on.

Tight End

Michael Mayer (TE – LV)

Michael Mayer suffered an ankle injury in the Raiders’ loss to the Cleveland Browns. He’s the Raiders’ No. 2 TE behind Brock Bowers and had just one catch for 14 yards before leaving. He’s not a valid fantasy option right now.
