This may have been one of the better teams I’ve drafted all offseason. For this fantasy football mock draft, I wanted to see how the board would fall with a middle-of-the-pack draft slot, so I went with lucky No. 7. Let’s take a look.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft
Round 1
Also Considered: Christian McCaffrey, Justin Jefferson
This was a very difficult decision, but I passed on Christian McCaffrey due to age and already dealing with calf tightness.
This really came down to Justin Jefferson and Amon-Ra St. Brown. In PPR, I tend to lean toward St. Brown. No one has more receptions than the “Sun God” himself (547) over the last five seasons. I’m all in on the Lions’ offense this season, and St. Brown should produce another season with 100+ receptions and 1,200+ receiving yards.
If the Vikings’ quarterback situation were a little better, I’d probably have drafted Jefferson.
Round 2
Also Considered: Brock Bowers, A.J. Brown
This is not a popular pick in PPR formats. However, Kenneth Walker III will be the workhorse of this offense and should see an uptick in usage in the passing game, especially with Patrick Mahomes coming off his ACL injury.
Rounds 3-4
- 3.07: Ladd McConkey, WR, LAC
- 4.06: Zay Flowers, WR, BAL
At this point in the draft, I would have taken another running back if Derrick Henry and/or Kyren Williams fell. Both were already off the board, so I decided it was a good opportunity to double up on receivers. Both Ladd McConkey and Zay Flowers are the clear No. 1 targets in their respective offenses, with MVP-caliber quarterbacks throwing them the ball.
McConkey should be in line for a big bounce-back season with the Chargers’ offensive line healthy again and Mike McDaniel taking over as the new offensive coordinator. McDaniel has made a name for himself by creating ways to get the ball into the hands of players who thrive on speed, quickness and creating yards in space.
Flowers should once again be Lamar Jackson‘s go-to option after signing a four-year, $140 million extension. He has seen 100+ targets in each of his first three NFL seasons and now looks for his third consecutive 1,000-yard receiving season.
Rounds 5-6
- 5.07: D’Andre Swift (RB – CHI)
- 6.06: Sam LaPorta (TE – DET)
It wasn’t too long ago that Sam LaPorta was the second or third tight end off the board in fantasy drafts. After undergoing back surgery last season, LaPorta has been cleared for football activities and should have a legitimate chance to re-establish himself as a top-five fantasy tight end.
Over his last 17 regular-season games, LaPorta has totaled 81 receptions for 900+ yards and eight touchdowns. When healthy, the production has been there.
Round 7
Also Considered: Justin Herbert, Courtland Sutton, Makai Lemon
I really wanted to take Justin Herbert here and pair him with Ladd McConkey for a nice stack. I am extremely excited to see what this Chargers offense can do under Mike McDaniel. Instead, I rolled the dice and went with Parker Washington.
This is honestly only my second or third time drafting Washington this offseason, mainly because the Jaguars’ wide receiver room is pretty crowded. You still have Brian Thomas Jr., Jakobi Meyers and Travis Hunter competing for targets.
However, throughout training camp, it seems like Trevor Lawrence has developed some serious chemistry with Washington, as he has reportedly been one of Lawrence’s favorite targets. Washington is also coming off an impressive second half last season, giving us some evidence that this breakout didn’t come out of nowhere. If that momentum carries into 2026, the Lawrence-Washington connection could be one of the sneakier stacks to target in fantasy drafts — especially at Washington’s current price.
Rounds 8-10
- 8.06: Tony Pollard (RB – TEN)
- 9.07: Jayden Reed (WR – GB)
- 10.06: Jonathon Brooks (RB – CAR)
Also Considered: Jordan Mason
At this point in the draft, I wanted upside running backs. Let’s not forget that Jonathon Brooks was a second-round pick just two years ago. Injuries have completely derailed the start of his NFL career, but the talent and explosiveness that made him such a highly regarded prospect are still there.
Round 11
- 11.07: Jared Goff (QB – DET)
Have I mentioned I’m all in on the Lions’ offense this season? After passing on Justin Herbert earlier in the draft, I had my eyes set on Jared Goff later in the draft. I had to roll the dice and make sure he was still there. By round 11, he was the best option available at quarterback.
Now we officially have a heavy Lions stack with Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta.
I’m essentially pushing all my chips into the middle on Detroit’s offense. There is obviously some risk in investing this heavily in one team, but if the Lions play up to their potential, the weekly ceiling of this stack could be massive, and I could be coasting into the playoffs.
Rounds 12-15
- 12.06: Alvin Kamara (RB – NO)
- 13.07: Will Reichard (K – MIN)
- 14.06: Tank Bigsby (RB – PHI)
- 15.07: Baltimore Ravens D/ST
