Jeimer Candelario has agreed to a minor league contract with the Angels. The deal comes with an invitation to spring training and the veteran would make $780K if he makes it to the majors. (Jon Heyman on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Things could not have gone worse for Candelario last season. The corner infielder slashed just .113/.198/.213 in 91 plate appearances with the Reds before an injury. He was then released by Cincinnati, claimed by the Yankees, and spent the rest of the year in Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre where he batted .203 in 256 plate appearances. Candelario is a lifetime .237 hitter with 110 home runs in 880 career major league games. He'll try to resurrect his career with the Angels.
