Fantasy Impact:
Stephenson had progressed to facing live hitters in camp, and all signs were pointing towards him being ready to open the season on time. However, manager Kurt Suzuki said Stephenson has an issue while throwing the last couple of days and will undergo more tests to determine the next step. The rigth-hander has pitched just 10 innings since signing a three-year deal prior to the 2024 season and will almost certainly open the season on the injured list in 2026.
