Spencer Horwitz hits pinch-hit home run Sunday against Rays
by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Sun, Apr 19th 11:04pm EDT
Spencer Horwitz hit a pinch-hit solo home run in the bottom of the sixth and finished the day 1-for-2 as the Pirates knocked off the Rays, 6-3, on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact:
Horwitz took Rays' reliever, Mason Englert, deep for his second home run of the year. The Pirates have been getting Horwitz as many at bats as possible, but this is the deepest team Pittsburgh has had in a while. After going just 1-for-12 in March, Horwitz is 13-for-43 (.302) in April and, overall, he has appeared in 20 games and is hitting .255 with two home runs and five runs batted in.
