Konnor Griffin belts third home run of season Sunday
by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Mon, May 11th 7:56am EDT
Konnor Griffin went 1-for-5 with a solo home run on Sunday as the Pirates lost to the Giants, 7-6, in 12 innings.
Fantasy Impact:
Griffin hit his solo home run in the second inning off of Giants' starter, Tyler Mahle, for his third round tripper of the season. He now has a hit in three straight games and has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 contests dating back to April 28. Griffin is batting .256 with three home runs, 19 RBI, and nine stolen bases in his first 35 games at the big league level. He has, however, struck out 40 times in 125 at bats - but that should improve over time.
