Isiah Kiner-Falefa homers in loss to Blue Jays

Isiah Kiner-Falefa started at shortstop and went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday’s 4-3 loss to Toronto. He opened the bottom of the eighth inning with his second homer of the season. Kiner-Falefa started against a right-hander while Marcelo Mayer received a breather after five straight starts.

Kiner-Falefa has been an infield regular since Trevor Story landed on the injured list with an abdominal injury, seeing time at second base, shortstop, and third base. He is hitting .304/.368/.435 with two homers and eight RBI over his last 21 games.
