Elias Diaz homers in second straight game
by Bruno Mulé | Rangers Correspondent | Fri, Jul 3rd 8:34am EDT
Elias Diaz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, a walk, and two runs scored in Thursday’s 10-4 win over the Tigers. He opened the scoring with a 414-foot solo shot in the second inning, giving him homers in consecutive games after going 18 contests without one following his June 5 arrival in Texas.
Fantasy Impact:
Diaz served as the designated hitter Thursday and has started five of the Rangers’ last six games, including four starts behind the plate. His recent playing time suggests he is gaining a more regular place in the lineup.
