Sandy Alcantara punches out eight in loss Friday

Sandy Alcantara allowed three runs on five hits and no walks while striking out eight across seven innings in Friday's 3-2 loss against the Cleveland Guardians.
Fantasy Impact:
Alcantara gave up a two-run homer to Chase DeLauter in the fourth inning and a sacrifice fly to Travis Bazzana in the fifth for the Guardians' third run of the game. Outside of the homer, Alcantara was sharp, as he didn't issue a single walk and limited Cleveland to just five hits. He's been excellent in his two starts in July, posting a 2.40 ERA and 0.80 WHIP with 16 strikeouts in 15 innings. He is not scheduled to pitch again before the All-Star break.
