Fantasy Football Player Notes

2020 Rest of Season Rankings
Allen Robinson II Note
Allen Robinson II photo 38. Allen Robinson II WR - (vs . GB)
The only player who had a chance to hold Robinson back in 2020 was Anthony Miller, so knowing Miller wound up with no catches in Week 2 should make you feel better. Robinson quietly had a tough matchup against James Bradberry in that game, so the fact that he saw nine targets is a good thing. He's the only Bears wide receiver playing in a full-time role, and we're not expecting the Bears to be in positive gamescripts very often. Expect Robinson to remain near the top of the league in targets, which is all you can ask for from your WR1. He'll have better days ahead.

David Montgomery Note
David Montgomery photo 40. David Montgomery RB - (vs . GB)
Montgomery had a rough 2019 season, but there are plenty of reasons to expect him to be much better in 2020. He has no real competition for carries, he was used heavily within the 10-yard line last year, and the entire Chicago offense should be better either because Mitch Trubisky improves or the team benches him eventually for Nick Foles. Although his season-long outlook is good, he suffered a groin injury in camp and is expected to miss 2-to-4 weeks, putting Week 1 in jeopardy. Unless the Bears sign another running back of significance, however, you can draft Montgomery and expect him to be back at full strength shortly after the start of the season. Take the draft day discount, however, and target him more as a mid-tier Flex play.

Tarik Cohen Note

There will be a lot of fantasy managers dropping Cohen this week and it's hard to blame them considering his 74 total yards on just 15 touches over the first two weeks. You should hang tight unless you think the Bears are going to continue to win games. There are going to be negative gamescripts in their future, and it's going to lead to a lot more opportunities. He's never going to win you a fantasy league, but he can play a role through bye weeks.

Anthony Miller Note
Anthony Miller photo 97. Anthony Miller WR - (vs . GB)
If you take Miller's final six games of the fantasy season, he had 34 catches for 433 yards, which prorates out to a 90-catch, 1154-yard line over a full season. Although he only caught two touchdown passes last year, he caught seven the prior season, so he's due for some positive regression. He's coming off shoulder surgery again, but so long as he's healthy, and especially if Nick Foles (who loves to target slot receivers) wins the starting quarterback job, Miller should be in for a fine year.

Jimmy Graham Note
Jimmy Graham photo 221. Jimmy Graham TE - (vs . GB)
It's hard to imagine Graham clawing his way back into being fantasy relevancy this year. Despite the lack of a second option behind Davante Adams, Graham barely made any noise last year for the Packers, finishing 22nd in 1/2 PPR points among tight ends. Now in what was a stagnant offense last year and with several other tight ends on the roster, it would be surprising if Graham found a way to factor in significantly. Ignore him in all leagues but deeper formats that award bonus points to tight ends.
