Le'Veon Bell Note
Le'Veon Bell photo 59. Le'Veon Bell RB - (at NE)
Bell was placed on short-term IR after he suffered a hamstring injury in Week 1. He'll be eligible to return in Week 5, after which you should again value him as a borderline RB2 in half- and full-PPR formats. The Jets' offense will likely be underwhelming all year, but Bell is one of the team's few weapons, and should see plenty of action upon his return.

Jamison Crowder Note
Jamison Crowder photo 86. Jamison Crowder WR - (at NE)
Crowder had a big Week 1 but is now dealing with a hamstring injury that will keep him out of action for through at least Week 3. He's in a perfect position with the Jets - the lone reliable receiving option who has chemistry with Sam Darnold and whose team will be playing from behind often. But soft tissue injuries can linger, so monitor Crowder's progress and hope he can practice fully heading into Week 4.

Chris Herndon IV Note
Chris Herndon IV photo 138. Chris Herndon IV TE - (at NE)
Herndon's breakout year was delayed by a suspension and injuries, as he barely saw the field last year. But he should be a prime target in leagues that award bonus points to tight ends, as the youngster showed in 2018 that he can be successful. Frequently targeted downfield, Herndon was one of the league leaders in air yards in 2018, and he could be one of Sam Darnold's primary targets, particularly if the truncated offseason prevents Darnold from developing chemistry with Breshad Perriman and Denzel Mims. He's not a TE1 at this point, but fantasy owners should keep their eyes on him in the preseason.

Breshad Perriman Note

Perriman injured his ankle in Week 2 and will miss at least a week or two. There's no reason to roster him in fantasy leagues at this point, so drop him for someone with more upside.

Frank Gore Note
Frank Gore photo 149. Frank Gore RB - (at NE)
The ageless wonder gets yet another chance at fantasy relevance now with Le'Veon Bell hitting the IR. Gore should be the primary running-down back, and although the Jets offense is hardly one to write home about, anyone who is going to see the volume that Gore is should be on the fantasy radar. He's still not someone you should want to start, but he should be rostered in most leagues and started in extremely deep formats.

Denzel Mims Note
Denzel Mims photo 192. Denzel Mims WR - (at NE)
Mims will miss Week 1 with his hamstring injury, and, to the extent anyone thought he might have fantasy value this year, the injury all but ruins that potential. With little practice time and no game action and in a low-volume and conservative offense, there's no reason to roster Mims going forward.
