Wednesday presents us with a 10-game schedule to work with as we enter the final two weeks of the NBA regular season.
As a friendly reminder, be sure to keep an eye on the news throughout the day, as injury/rest situations can be very prevalent this time of year. Let’s take a look at a tournament lineup for DraftKings.

Point Guard
Elfrid Payton (ORL): $7,300 vs. OKC
Russell Westbrook can be turnover prone at times, and he’s exploitable on the defensive end of the floor as well. Payton’s ability to fill up the stat sheet in multiple categories gives him nice upside on any given night, especially this evening. He’s averaged 38 DKP over the last four games, and this contest should allow him to easily eclipse that mark again tonight.
Other Notables:
- Russell Westbrook (OKC): $13,200 @ ORL
- Chris Paul (LAC): $8,100 vs. WAS
- George Hill (UTA): $6,400 @ SAC
- T.J. McConnell (PHI): $5,500 vs. ATL
Shooting Guard
Nik Stauskas (PHI): $4,100 vs. ATL
Stauskas is a risky proposition tonight, but he should see an increase in playing time with Sergio Rodriguez out and Gerald Henderson uncertain to play with an injury. He doesn’t provide a whole lot outside of shooting, but with a plus matchup on deck, I don’t mind targeting him as a source of salary relief.
Other Notables:
- DeMar DeRozan (TOR): $8,700 vs. CHA
- Klay Thompson (GS): $6,900 @ SA
- Evan Fournier (ORL): $5,300 vs. OKC
- Joe Ingles (UTA): $5,000 @ SAC (if Gordon Hayward is out)
Small Forward
Kawhi Leonard (SA): $9,900 vs. GS
Fresh off their 29-point thumping of the Cavaliers, the Spurs welcome another top team tonight in the Golden State Warriors. This is a pace up game for San Antonio, and it’s exactly the type of environment in which Leonard should thrive. He’s easily the top projected play at the position this evening, and he brings a tantalizing combination of floor and upside to the table.
Other Notables:
- Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL): $9,200 @ SAC
- Robert Covington (PHI): $6,900 vs. ATL
- Otto Porter (WAS): $6,100 @ LAC
- Taurean Prince (ATL): $5,100 @ PHI
- Terrence Ross (ORL): $5,000 vs. OKC
Power Forward
Amir Johnson (BOS): $4,200 vs. MIL
This feels like a pricing error on DraftKings’ part, as Johnson has registered consecutive games of at least 31 DKP. While he probably can’t be expected to continue this on a nightly basis, at this salary we don’t need much more than 25 DKP to justify using him. The Bucks are a subpar rebounding team, so I look for Johnson to put forth another solid outing.
Other Notables
- Anthony Davis (NO): $10,800 vs. DAL
- Blake Griffin (LAC): $7,900 vs. WAS
- Zach Randolph (MEM): $6,300 vs. IND (if Marc Gasol is out)
Center
Dwight Howard (ATL): $7,600 @ PHI
Howard has scored at least 41 DKP in three out of the last four games, and he’s poised to make it four out of five tonight. This is a great matchup against the Sixers, and he’s done a fine job inside with Paul Millsap on the shelf. Howard has GPP-winning upside on the road tonight.
Other Notables
- Rudy Gobert (UTA): $8,600 @ SAC
- Nikola Vucevic (ORL): $7,700 vs. OKC
- Nerlens Noel (DAL): $5,600 @ NO
Guard
Cory Joseph (TOR): $5,000 vs. CHA
Joseph is coming off a 43.5 DKP outing against the Magic on Monday, and while I wouldn’t expect a repeat, he’s priced in a manner that we can still reasonably expect output of six times his salary. This is a decent matchup at home against the Hornets.
Forward
James Johnson (MIA): $6,600 @ NY
The Knicks are an average rebounding team that ranks near the bottom of the league in defensive efficiency, which puts Johnson is a great spot to produce. With Dion Waiters out, Johnson stands to see a bit more responsibility on the offensive end of the floor. This boosts his output, as he is a reliable producer in other statistical categories on a nightly basis.
Utility
Greg Monroe (MIL): $5,200 @ BOS
It can be tricky relying on someone that isn’t likely to see 30 minutes, but Monroe is producing at a fairly efficient level, which helps to offset some of the playing time risk. This is a great individual matchup for Monroe, and I like him to approach 30 DKP tonight.
