Welcome to the dreaded injury report. Professional football is a violent game, and your fantasy players are going to miss time because of it. Hopefully, you don’t have many names on this list.

Josh Allen (QB – BUF)
After doing just about nothing against the Texans, Josh Allen took a shot to the arm and exited with what looks like an arm contusion. He should be “fine,” with “fine” being a relative term. Allen is one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL, yet somehow is still better than the alternative, Nathan Peterman. It is only a matter of time before Derek Anderson is starting in Buffalo.
Amari Cooper and Seth Roberts (WRs – OAK)
The enigmatic WR did not catch a pass before departing with an obvious concussion. Amari Cooper will go through the protocol and even though the hit looked vicious, he has two weeks to get cleared, which is more likely than not. Of course, I don’t know why you’d want to start him anyway. Roberts was also ruled out with a concussion. Given the struggles of the Raiders’ offense, he’s not fantasy relevant.
Robert Turbin (RB – IND)
Turbin suffered a shoulder injury that resulted in an early exit. Marlon Mack seems to be the leading candidate for RB duties in Indy, but it’s still a timeshare. If Turbin is out for an extended period it would remove one candidate for touches from the equation.
Quincy Enunwa (WR – NYJ)
There were already whispers of Quincy Enunwa nursing a hand injury. He suffered an ankle injury in the Jets’ win over the Colts. Enunwa hasn’t done much since his big Week 1 and even if he’s healthy enough to play Sunday, he can safely be dropped if you need the roster spot.
Mohamed Sanu and Calvin Ridley (WRs – ATL)
The Falcons’ No. 2 and No. 3 WRs exited with hip and ankle injuries, respectively. Mohamed Sanu had been dealing with the hip issue for the past couple weeks and it flared up in this game. Calvin Ridley hurt his ankle and was ruled out. The good news is each will have an extra day to heal up with the Falcons playing on Monday night. The bad news is we may not know their statuses by Sunday at 1:00, which could create problems when setting lineups. If one of them plays, that receiver will benefit from the other sitting. If both were to miss, Austin Hooper would likely see an uptick in targets and Justin Hardy could become a plug n play WR4. Matt Ryan is going to have to throw touchdowns to someone and we know they won’t be going to Julio Jones.
Cooper Kupp (WR – LAR)
In the first half, Cooper Kupp was the victim of a horse collar tackle that caused his leg to twist in a direction it shouldn’t. It looked really bad. He was carted off the field and reportedly couldn’t put weight on it in the locker room. Miraculously, Kupp briefly returned in the second half before bowing out for good. The fact that he was able to play at all is encouraging, but there’s still a chance the injury is more serious than he is letting on. Josh Reynolds would play in three-receiver sets if Kupp were to miss time.
Derek Carr (QB – OAK)
A.J. McCarron finished out the Raiders’ embarrassing performance against Seattle after Derek Carr hurt his left arm. Reports indicate it was not serious and he could have returned had the game still been competitive. The Raiders are a complete mess and Jon Gruden is somehow even worse than I expected him to be at coaching this team. Carr will be good to go after the Raiders’ Week 7 bye, but you don’t want him anywhere near your lineups.
Niles Paul (TE – JAX)
The Jaguars are running out of TEs. Niles Paul received a carry on a badly designed run play early in Sundays’ game. He was tackled awkwardly and quickly ruled out with what appears to be a serious knee injury. Paul didn’t have much fantasy relevance to begin with and you should have no interest in the Jaguars’ third string TE.
Tavon Austin (WR – DAL)
Gadget man, Tavon Austin, sustained a groin injury in the Cowboys’ surprising blowout of the Jaguars. He did not return. This has zero fantasy impact.
