Fantasy Baseball Prospect Report: Paul Skenes, Junior Caminero, James Wood

Welcome back to my weekly prospect report at FantasyPros! The goal of this column is to give you the most fantasy-relevant prospect information throughout the last week, all in one place.

The format of this weekly prospect report will be by level and we will go through players in order of their placing on my latest Top 150 Prospect Rankings. I won’t be hitting every prospect every week, but I will focus on the most relevant throughout the week and follow up on other notable players post my top 150. This column will not focus on any AAAA-type players or veterans in the Minors who have outlived their prospect status.

NOTE: Rookie status is determined by 130 ABs, or 50 IPs at the Major League level | All stats are as of Sunday, April 20.

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Report

MLB Hitters

      • Season: .241/.315/.291 | 9 BB% / 21.3 K%| 3 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 6/26 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Wyatt Langford is making great contact, barreling the ball and hitting it in the air. The issue might be his eye is too good and he’s getting strikes called against him that are clearly balls. He was chasing more this week because of the bad calls and it hasn’t helped him. I’m not concerned overall about his skillset; I’m more concerned about the umps and how they treat rookies.
      • Season: .037/.071/.037 | 3.6 BB% / 53.6 K%| 0 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 1/16 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Jackson Holliday is off to a rough start and striking out way too much. It’s a small sample size, and he will start to relax, but I don’t think sending him back down to AAA is a good idea. There’s nothing more he can do in the Minors; he just needs to adjust to the Majors.
      • Season: .194/.313/.358 | 12.5 BB% / 20 K%| 7 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
      • This Week: 3/25 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Evan Carter is about to graduate from prospect status. He has a .220 BABIP this year so far, so there is some major positive regression coming.
      • Season: .235/.293/.426 | 8 BB% / 29.3 K%| 5 XBH, 4 HR, 4 SB
      • This Week: 5/23 | 2 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB
      • Notes: Jackson Chourio is basically doing what I expected from him thus far.
      • Season: N/A
      • This Week: N/A
      • Notes: Jasson Dominguez is on the IL after getting Tommy John surgery late last season. He’s throwing and hitting on both sides of the plate, tracking for a rehab stint in the Minors in late April.
      • Season: N/A
      • This Week: N/A
      • Notes: Noelvi Marte was suspended for the first half of the season due to PEDs. He may need some time in the Minors to ramp up even before his return; we will see how the Reds treat him, as they might send him down as a punishment of some sorts.
      • Season: .183/.247/.197 | 7.8 BB% / 18.2 K%| 1 XBH, 0 HR, 1 SB
      • This Week: 4/30 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Colt Keith, like most of these rookies, is rocking a very low BABIP at .228. Even though he is hitting the ball relatively hard and showing good contact skills, he’s not barreling.
      • Season: .311/.378/.419 | 9.8 BB% / 18.3 K%| 5 XBH, 1 HR, 4 SB
      • This Week: 9/28 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB
      • Notes: He’s hitting the ball hard and looks more like a big-time doubles hitter than a player who will translate to more than 20 homers unless he starts getting more lift on the ball.
      • Season: .375/.404/.750 | 5.9 BB% / 23.5 K%| 10 XBH, 4 HR, 3 SB
      • This Week: 5/21 | 1 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB
      • Notes: Colton Cowser is likely leading the AL Rookie of the Year race right now. Whoever put money on that one is looking good.
      • Season: N/A
      • This Week: N/A
      • Notes: Ronny Mauricio tore his ACL in the Dominican Winter League and won’t be back until August or so at the earliest.
      • Season: .085/.138/.136 | 3.1 BB% / 22.1 K%| 3 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB
      • This Week: 0/12 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: Victor Scott II has a .109 BABIP. How is that even possible at his speed?
      • Season: .250/.294/.313 | 5.9 BB% / 29.4 K%| 1 XBH, 0 HR, 1 SB
      • This Week: 4/16 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: Jonatan Clase got the call for the Mariners much earlier than I had expected. He has nice power/speed tools, but I wouldn’t be betting on the hit tool.
      • Season: .226/.293/.226 | 6.9 BB% / 19 K%| 0 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 5/25 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Curtis Mead is not hitting the ball hard or barreling the ball, but he’s a great contact hitter. I just don’t think he will be fantasy-relevant because there isn’t enough power in the bat.
      • Season (AAA): .371/.452/.694 | 11 BB% / 17.8 K%| 9 XBH, 5 HR, 2 SB
      • This Week (MLB): 2/14 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Andy Pages had a strong spring and is looking to show he’s healthy and ready to rip. He was called up to the Dodgers and has been playing every day, but how long will that last? Until Jason Heyward is back?
      • Season: .250/.314/.455 | 7.8 BB% / 21.6 K%| 3 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 2/13 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Ivan Herrera might be the best backup catcher in baseball and should get a decent amount of playing time this year when Wilson Contreras is in at DH. Based on his playing time, he will likely lose prospect status in the next couple of weeks.
      • Season: 0/2 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 0/1 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Justin Foscue was just promoted after the Josh Jung injury, but with Jared Walsh playing so well and Ezequiel Duran covering third base, I’m not sure how much playing time he will actually get. We can see only 1 AB this week, which means there isn’t much value here for fantasy in 2024, pending additional injuries.

MLB Pitchers

      • Season: 9 IP | 35.1 K-BB%, 20.1% SwStr% | 1.72 SIERA
      • This Week: 3 IP | 7 Ks, 1 BBs, 22.7% SwStr% | -0.18 SIERA w/ 3 saves
      • Notes: Mason Miller looks like a top-five closer in baseball if he can stay healthy, even with a bad team.
      • Season: 27 IP | 16.7 K-BB%, 8.4% SwStr% | 3.93 SIERA
      • This Week: 10 IP @ MIA, v ARI | 7 Ks, 2 BBs, 8.2% SwStr% | 4.61 SIERA
      • Notes: Kyle Harrison has been pitching a lot better than many expected. Of course, the ballpark helps, but Harrison looks like a player who will put up very good strikeout-to-walk ratios, but he will get hit up every now and then.
      • Season: 23 IP | 34.1 K-BB%, 19.8% SwStr% | 2.00 SIERA
      • This Week: 5 IP @ NYMI | 7 Ks, 0 BBs, 23.7% SwStr% | 1.19 SIERA
      • Notes: Jared Jones has been one of the most impressive starters in baseball this season and is basically impossible to acquire at this point if you don’t have him.
      • Season: 16 1/3 IP | 14.1 K-BB%, 10.5% SwStr% | 4.00 SIERA
      • This Week: 6 IP @ ARI | 4 Ks, 2 BB, 10.5% SwStr% | 4.01 SIERA
      • Notes: Ben Brown is rolling as probably the Cubs’ third-best starter since coming up and should stick even when Justin Steele comes back if the Cubs want to do what is best for the team.
      • Season: 18 IP | 7.1 K-BB%, 14.6% SwStr% | 4.88 SIERA
      • This Week: 3 1/3 IP | 1 Ks, 5 BBs, 5.6% SwStr% | 9.45 SIERA
      • Notes: Gavin Stone has been getting lit up the last couple of starts and it’s possible he’s tipping again like he seemed to be doing in 2023.
      • Season: N/A
      • This Week: 5 IP | 5 Ks, 2 BB | 3.60 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
      • Notes: Nick Nastrini was called up for his first Major League start this week and performed pretty well. I’m a big Nastrini fan and think he should stick for the rest of the season.
      • Season: 8 2/3 IP | 8.6 K-BB%, 8.6% SwStr% | 4.56 SIERA
      • This Week: 3 2/3 IP | 1 K and 1 BB, 7.3% SwStr% | 5.64 SIERA
      • Notes: I thought we would see potential Matt Brash-like numbers out of Landen Roupp in the pen, but for some reason, his stuff isn’t really playing up as a reliever as opposed to being a starter.
      • Season: 16 1/3 IP | 3.6 K-BB%, 7.9% SwStr% | 5.34 SIERA
      • This Week: 3 2/3 IP | 3 Ks, 5 BB, 8.9% SwStr% | 7.45 SIERA
      • Notes: The Brewers are currently relying on DL Hall as a starter. With Aaron Ashby being bad and Robert Gasser hurt, he will get opportunities, at least until Gasser returns, if not the entire season as a starter.
      • Season: 7 IP | 7.9 K-BB%, 14.5% SwStr% | 4.87 SIERA
      • This Week: 4 IP v ATL | 5 Ks, 2 BBs, 14.5% SwStr% | 4.87 SIERA
      • Notes: Spencer Arrighetti actually had a pretty solid start against the Braves this week after a terrible first outing against the Royals. It will be interesting to see if he sticks in the rotation with Justin Verlander returning. He hasn’t been sent down yet.
      • Season: N/A
      • This Week: 5 IP | 4 Ks, 1 BBs | 3.59 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
      • Notes: Landon Knack is old for a prospect. However, he’s finally getting his shot, and at his age, you would think even if they didn’t need a starter, they would just keep him around for the pen.

AAA Hitters

      • Season: .269/.345/.538 | 10.3 BB% / 31 K%| 8 XBH, 2 HR, 5 SB
      • This Week: 4/18 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Junior Caminero is back and healthy but has been striking out a lot this week. He might be trying to force his way up at this point.
      • Season: .323/.440/.516 | 17.3 BB% / 22.7 K%| 8 XBH, 2 HR, 5 SB
      • This Week: 6/33 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 3 SB
      • Notes: James Wood is showing great discipline and has been hitting the ball hard (mostly on the ground) so far this young season. Wood should be in the Majors, but the Nationals likely don’t want him to finish near the top of the ROY voting because they would lose a year of eligibility. Otherwise, he would have just broken camp.
      • Season: N/A
      • This Week: N/A
      • Notes: Jordan Lawler is on the IL for at least two months after undergoing thumb surgery.
      • Season: .214/.247/.429 | 4.1 BB% / 31.5 K%| 9 XBH, 2 HR, 5 SB
      • This Week: 5/26 | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: Pete Crow-Armstrong (PCA) will have to show better plate discipline before getting a call-up, but he’s been electric when it comes to making things happen and should get the call within the next couple of months.
      • Season: .221/.312/.353 | 9 BB% / 37.2 K%| 5 XBH, 2 HR, 3 SB
      • This Week: 2/18 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 3 SB
      • Notes: Colson Montgomery is not hitting for average, but like PCA, when he does get hits, he has been doing damage.
      • Season: .304/.398/.449 | 12 BB% / 14.5 K%| 5 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB
      • This Week: 10/26 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB
      • Notes: Tyler Black missed his shot at making the Opening Day roster, getting beat out by Joey Ortiz after a stellar 2023. He had a killer week and is looking for an opening in the Brewers lineup to break through.
      • Season: .276/.366/.431 | 14.1 BB% / 16.9 K%| 7 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 12/31 | 7 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Kyle Manzardo has had back-to-back strong weeks as he makes his push to be on the Guardians roster. They could use him, even with how well Josh Naylor has been playing.
      • Season: .359/.435/.795 | 10.9 BB% / 20.7 K%| 14 XBH, 10 HR, 1 SB
      • This Week: 8/28 | 3 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: Heston Kjerstad is a good enough hitter that he would be starting on almost every team in the Majors. The Orioles just have too many good players, and Ryan O’Hearn is having a great season, fighting off Kjerstad at first base.
      • Season: N/A
      • This Week: N/A
      • Notes: Jeferson Quero is getting shoulder surgery and will be out for the rest of the season, so we will see him fighting for an Opening Day roster spot in 2025.
      • Season: .309/.360/.568 | 5.6 BB% / 30.3 K%| 10 XBH, 5 HR, 3 SB
      • This Week: 6/29 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB
      • Notes: Coby Mayo is off to a strong start XBH-wise. However, the plate skills need to look better if he will get a call-up, especially considering he might be battling Kjerstad for a roster spot. He does have luck on his side, with a.400 BABIP. I’d also like to see the K rate cut down before he gets the call.
      • Season: .274/.408/.452 | 17.1 BB% / 28.9 K%| 8 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 6/24 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Owen Caissie might also be battling for a roster spot later in the season, but that depends on health and what spot might open up. We might see DH or first base open up before a corner outfield spot, though. Where is the power this year?
      • Season: .240/.321/.360 | 7.1 BB% / 35.7 K%| 1 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: N/A
      • Notes: Drew Gilbert hasn’t played since April 6 due to a seemingly unreported injury. He was not playing well pre-injury.
      • Season: .290/.436/.677 | 17.9 BB% / 7.7 K%| 4 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 6/20 | 2 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Graham Pauley didn’t get a full run in the Majors but has bounced back nicely in AAA.
      • Season: .197/.232/.273 | 4.3 BB% / 23.6 K%| 2 XBH, 1 HR, 7 SB
      • This Week: 6/21 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB
      • Notes: Luisangel Acuna could potentially beat Gilbert up thanks to the Ronny Mauricio injury, but there’s a good chance the Mets hold many of these players down in the Minors until September. I think Acuna is overrated a bit due to the name and is being bumped above his level.
      • Season: .308/.397/.692 | 14.1 BB% / 21.8 K%| 13 XBH, 5 HR, 1 SB
      • This Week: 9/29 | 6 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: Jordan Beck is continuing his torrid start, and if he keeps hitting like this, the Rockies won’t be able to afford to keep him down in the Minors.
      • Season: .294/.390/.779 | 12.2 BB% / 32.9 K%| 13 XBH, 10 HR, 2 SB
      • This Week: 4/23 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: Joey Loperfido barely missed the cut with the Astros to good ole Jon Singleton, but I would expect him up in the Majors if there are any outfield injuries. The power he is showing is insane, and he should be starting in center field over Jake Meyers.
      • Season: .235/.329/.441 | 12.7 BB% / 31.6 K%| 8 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB
      • This Week: 5/27 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: I compare Jace Jung to Nolan Gorman, and he’s striking out a little too much like Gorman right now.
      • Season: .286/.349/.464 | 6.3 BB% / 27 K%| 4 XBH, 2 HR, 3 SB
      • This Week: 10/25 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 3 SB
      • Notes: Thomas Saggese turned it up this week. I didn’t think he had the wheels in him, and it might be a coincidence. Still, he will need to cut down the K rate to get a call-up, and the Cardinals might have to clear some room via trade.
      • Season: .220/.390/.356 | 20.8 BB% / 29.9 K%| 4 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
      • This Week: 5/28 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Justyn-Henry Malloy (JHM) is looking to transfer full-time to a corner outfield spot and has shown the plate skills for the Majors already. Still, he needs to show good enough defense to get the call. He’s getting on base but is not doing damage right now.
      • Season: .186/.239/.279 | 6.5 BB% / 28.3 K%| 2 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
      • This Week: 10/32 | 2 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: Kevin Alcantara got off to a miserable start (too many groundballs) but had a good week.
      • Season: .296/.363/.506 | 8.8 BB% / 24.2 K%| 9 XBH, 4 HR, 1 SB
      • This Week: 9/26 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: Between Kjerstad, Mayo and Norby, the Orioles’ Minor League squad is ridiculous. Who will make it up into a starting role? Who is on the bench? Who is trade bait? Norby is the Michael Busch of the Orioles.
      • Season: N/A
      • This Week: N/A
      • Notes: Brooks Lee is still in extended spring. I thought he was coming up after the Royce Lewis injury and then after the Carlos Correa injury. So it seems like he might be dealing with his own dings.
      • Season: .306/.436/.371 | 19.2 BB% / 28.2 K%| 4 XBH, 0 HR, 3 SB
      • This Week: 5/20 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB
      • Notes: Marco Luciano was sent down in a bit of a shocker, but improving his plate skills at AAA might end up being the best long-term move for his development. He’s looking good so far at AAA; however, he has an over .400 BABIP aiding him.
      • Season: .236/.344/.600 | 10.9 BB% / 26.6 K%| 10 XBH, 5 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 8/22 | 7 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Soderstrom has a good amount of work to do in the Minors after being promoted a year too early in 2023. He’s hitting for power and doing damage despite a lackluster hit tool. Still, the power is real.
      • Season: .220/.283/.268 | 6.4 BB% / 23.4 K%| 1 XBH, 0 HR, 4 SB
      • This Week: 4/18 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: Jacob Melton is definitely getting passed by Loperfido.
      • Season: .239/.379/.433 | 17 BB% / 25 K%| 7 XBH, 2 HR, 12 SB
      • This Week: 7/30 | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 3 SB
      • Notes: Ryan Bliss missed out on a super-utility role with the Mariners to start the season, but if he keeps hitting and running like this week, they won’t be able to hold him down.
      • Season: .247/.304/.589 | 5.1 BB% / 25.3 K%| 13 XBH, 6 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 6/29 | 4 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Kyle Stowers had a killer spring and a hot start to his season, but has slowed down the last few weeks.
      • Season: .348/.449/.682 | 12.8 BB% / 23.1 K%| 10 XBH, 5 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 6/21 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: We have been here before with Heliot Ramos. He might be a AAAA player or someone who just can’t break out due to his skills. Still, here he is, again performing in the Minors.
      • Season: .303/.440/.485 | 19 BB% / 9.5 K%| 9 XBH, 1 HR, 10 SB
      • This Week: 3/25 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB
      • Notes: Caleb Durbin looks like the next Jon Berti. But could he be more than a super-utility type?

2024 fantasy baseball trade chart player values

AAA Pitchers

      • Season: 12 2/3 IP | 48.9 K-BB%, 18.6 SwStr% | 0.00 ERA, 0.71 WHIP
      • This Week: 3 1/3 IP | 8 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.90 WHIP
      • Notes: Paul Skenes could be a top-25 starter in baseball per batter faced from the gate, and I think it’s hilarious that this week’s start made his overall stats worse.
  • #21 Ricky Tiedemann (SP – TOR)
      • Season: 8 IP | 2.4 K-BB%, 13.2 SwStr% | 5.63 ERA, 2.00 WHIP
      • This Week: N/A
      • Notes: Ricky Tiedemann went for imaging in his elbow this week. Fingers crossed that there is no structural damage, but that might explain the rough start to the season for him.
  • #39 Max Meyer (SP – MIA)
      • MLB Season: 17 IP | 16.9 K-BB%, 14.2% SwStr% | 3.65 SIERA
      • This Week: N/A
      • Notes: Max Meyer was demoted to preserve his innings and lessen his workload. However, he hasn’t started yet in the Minors and is expected to get the Paul Skenes treatment and max out at around three innings per appearance.
  • #55 AJ Smith-Shawver (SP – ATL)
      • Season: 7 2/3 IP | 10.8 K-BB%, 12 SwStr% | 8.22 ERA, 1.70 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 2/3 IP | 3 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.93 ERA, 0.64 WHIP
      • Notes: Skenes, Tiedemann and AJ Smith-Shawver (AJSS) are all getting this short stint-type treatment, which means the MLB teams are planning on a good amount of use later in the season for each of them. These starts are more like an extended spring or rehab than them needing to show they’re ready for the call. AJSS had his first good start of the season.
      • Season: 10 2/3 IP | 14.3 K-BB%, 14.6 SwStr% | 11.81 ERA, 2.34 WHIP
      • This Week: 2 2/3 IP | 6 Ks, 3 BBs | 6.75 ERA, 2.25 WHIP
      • Notes: Carson Whisenhunt has had a pretty tough time in the PCL, but I guess the good thing is it can’t get any worse, as far as the pitching environment.
      • Season: 12 1/3 IP | 7.3 K-BB%, 16.4 SwStr% | 1.46 ERA, 1.70 WHIP
      • This Week: 2 2/3 IP | 4 Ks, 4 BBs | 3.37 ERA, 2.62 WHIP
      • Notes: David Festa is the seventh man in the Twins’ rotation, clearly still behind Simeon Woods-Richardson.
      • Season: 12 1/3 IP | 11.5 K-BB%, 9.2 SwStr% | 2.16 ERA, 2.04 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 IP | 5 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
      • Notes: Carlos F. Rodriguez won’t be a superstar, but he could be an effective back-end starter for the Brewers. He had a decent start this week for the first time all season.
      • Season: 19 IP | 11 K-BB%, 14.2 SwStr% | 3.32 ERA, 1.42 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 IP | 7 Ks, 3 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.50 WHIP
      • Notes: Cristian Mena could be up soon if the Ryne Nelson injury is bad. He seems like the next player in line for the D-Backs.
      • Season: 12 1/3 IP | 24.2 K-BB%, 14.8% SwStr% | 3.65 ERA, 1.40 WHIP
      • This Week (in AAA): 4 IP | 5 Ks, 4 BBs | 11.25 ERA, 2.00 WHIP
      • Notes: Clayton Beeter had a rough outing Friday. Nine walks in 12 1/3 innings in the Minors shows why he was pitching out of the pen to start the season.
      • Season: 8 2/3 IP | 2 K-BB%, 8.7 SwStr% | 11.42 ERA, 2.65 WHIP
      • This Week: 3 1/3 IP | 5 Ks, 2 BBs | 13.50 ERA, 3.00 WHIP
      • Notes: I gave Mike Vasil the benefit of the doubt last year when hearing him talk about the robo umps regarding transitioning from AA to AAA. However, as a command pitcher, he seems to have lost it.
      • Season: 11 2/3 IP | 9.3 K-BB%, 9.3 SwStr% | 6.94 ERA, 1.80 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 3 BBs | 7.20 ERA, 1.40 WHIP
      • Notes: Mick Abel’s biggest issue has always been control, and it’s been even worse this year. I thought he might get called up in 2024, but he does not look ready for a Major League role at the moment.
      • Season: 12 1/3 IP | 0 K-BB%, 6.8 SwStr% | 8.03 ERA, 1.78 WHIP
      • This Week: 2 2/3 IP | 3 Ks, 2 BBs | 6.75 ERA, 1.50 WHIP (prior to Saturday’s game)
      • Notes: Connor Phillips had one bad start (see above) and then another good start on Saturday (pending metrics, but highlights are available). I’m not a Connor Phillips fan, so the slow start does not really surprise me.
      • Season: 17 2/3 IP | 25.9 K-BB%, 11.2 SwStr% | 1.53 ERA, 0.96 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 IP | 3 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
      • Notes: Mason Black was the last cut on the Giants, and if there’s an injury pre-Alex Cobb or Robbie Ray comeback, he could be first up (with Kai-Wei Teng already up in the pen). He’s looked great, it’s not easy to deal like he has in the PCL.
      • Season: 18 2/3 IP | 17.4 K-BB%, 10.7 SwStr% | 4.34 ERA, 1.50 WHIP
      • This Week: 6 IP | 8 Ks, 3 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP
      • Notes: Gordon Graceffo has definitely been better this year than last. However, the fastball is down a tick and a half, and he’s still nowhere near the pitcher we saw in 2022.
      • Season: 15 1/3 IP | 17.2 K-BB%, 12.3 SwStr% | 2.35 ERA, 1.17 WHIP
      • This Week: 6 IP | 5 Ks, 0 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 0.67 WHIP
      • Notes: Richard Fitts is a plater who could be up soon with all the injuries to the Red Sox rotation. He’s a solid back-end starter but doesn’t appear to be anything special for fantasy.
      • Season: 14 1/3 IP | 41.1 K-BB%, 15 SwStr% | 3.77 ERA, 0.91 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 1/3 IP | 7 Ks, 2 BBs | 3.38 ERA, 0.94 WHIP
      • Notes: Christian Scott is looking like a future front-of-the-rotation starter.
      • Season: 16 1/3 IP | 33.3 K-BB%, 13.9 SwStr% | 1.10 ERA, 0.55 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 1/3 IP | 9 Ks, 4 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.31 WHIP
      • Notes: Cade Povich has had some really good luck to start the 2024 season. He’s definitely better than last year, but not this much better.
      • Season: 13 IP | 22 K-BB%, 13.9 SwStr% | 0.69 ERA, 1.08 WHIP
      • This Week: 1 IP | 2 Ks, 0 BBs | 9.00 ERA, 2.00 WHIP
      • Notes: I haven’t seen any news on why Keider Montero only had a one-inning start, but I’m assuming it had something to do with an injury of some sort.
      • Season (AAA): 14 1/3 IP | 38.6 K-BB%, 16.4 SwStr% | 3.77 ERA, 0.98 WHIP
      • This Week (MLB): 3 2/3 IP | 3 Ks, 3 BBs | 17.18 ERA, 3.00 WHIP
      • Notes: Jack Leiter was roughed up in his first Major League start after destroying the competition at AAA so far this year. Let’s see how he bounces back again at AAA.
      • Season: 14 2/3 IP | 16.9 K-BB%, 12.4 SwStr% | 2.45 ERA, 1.23 WHIP
      • This Week: 8 IP | 9 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.38 WHIP
      • Notes: Sem Robberse is putting up some nice numbers at AAA, but with the fastball under 91 MPH, I wouldn’t expect him to hold up as a starter. I watched him a couple of times this spring out of the pen, and I saw him get rocked once, though the stuff does look faster coming out of his hand for some reason.

      • This Week: 5/27 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 4 SB
      • Notes: Be on the lookout for a fast promotion with Jakob Marsee. He’s run into some bad BABIP luck to start the young season with a .206 BABIP, but he’s running wild when he gets on base.
      • Season: .171/.356/.286 | 15.6 BB% / 11.1 K%| 3 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB
      • This Week: 1/14 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Jett Williams must have been dinged a little this week because he only played in a few games.

      • This Week: 10/26 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB

      • This Week: 3/18 (w/ 11 BBs) | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 4 SB
      • Notes: Emmanuel Rodriguez is finally doing it! The back-of-baseball card stats have always been behind his underlying metrics, and they are finally catching up. I love to see it!

      • This Week: N/A
      • Notes: Brock Wilken was nailed in the face and suffered facial fractures. With no timetable for a return, he will probably miss quite some time based on the Taylor Ward injuries from last year.
      • Season: .234/.351/.404 | 15.8 BB% / 14 K%| 6 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 3/23 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB

2024 Fantasy Baseball Probable Pitchers Two Start Pitchers

AA Pitchers

      • Season: 8 IP | 28.6 K-BB%, 15 SwStr% | 1.13 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 IP | 5 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.50 WHIP
      • Notes: Cade Horton is a stud and should be up in the Majors at some point this season. However, the success of Shota Imanaga, Jameson Taillon and Ben Brown thus far will push him back until later in the year.
      • Season: 18 IP | 21.9 K-BB%, 17.7 SwStr% | 0.50 ERA, 0.78 WHIP
      • This Week: 7 IP | 3 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.86 WHIP
      • Notes: Drew Thorpe should be up in the Majors sooner rather than later. I assume he’s in AA rather than AAA because they want him throwing to Quero.
      • Season: 13 2/3 IP | 16.7 K-BB%, 11.6 SwStr% | 1.98 ERA, 1.02 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 2/3 IP | 5 Ks, 3 BBs | 1.93 ERA, 1.07 WHIP
      • Notes: Robby Snelling won’t be the type to strike out the world, but he’s an effective starter. Once he’s up in the Majors, the ballpark and defense will play to his strengths, such as generating groundballs.
      • Season: 9 2/3 IP | 8.3 K-BB%, 14.2 SwStr% | 3.18 ERA, 1.94 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 IP | 5 Ks, 1 BBs | 4.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
      • Notes: Jackson Jobe finally put together a decent start yesterday, which, for some reason, was not included in the overall K-BB rate.
      • Season: 10 1/3 IP | 8.3K-BB%, 15.8 SwStr% | 5.23 ERA, 1.65 WHIP
      • This Week: 3 IP | 4 Ks, 5 BBs | 6.00 ERA, 2.00 WHIP
      • Notes: Jacob Misiorowski will be volatile because of his control issues, but if he can reign in the control, he will be unhittable.
      • Season: 8 1/3 IP | 7 K-BB%, 14.2 SwStr% | 9.72 ERA, 2.16 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 1/3 IP | 4 Ks, 2 BBs | 10.38 ERA, 2.31 WHIP
      • Notes: It’s a small sample size so far, especially with the AA and lower pitchers, as we don’t see stabilization until about 17-20 innings.
      • Season: 15 IP | 16.9 K-BB%, 13.9 SwStr% | 6.00 ERA, 1.40 WHIP (not including latest start)
      • This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 5.40 ERA, 1.40 WHIP
      • Notes: Tekoah Roby is coming off his best start of the season after having a great year post-trade to the Cardinals in 2023 but a rough Arizona Fall League.
      • Season: N/A
      • This Week: N/A
      • Notes: Chase Hampton is still in extended spring and has not yet met a start this year in the Minors.
      • Season: 15 1/3 IP | 27.3 K-BB%, 17.2 SwStr% | 1.17 ERA, 0.59 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 1/3 IP | 6 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.69 ERA, 0.94 WHIP
      • Notes: Tink Hence had another strong start this week, pitching into the sixth inning but struggling with his velocity and command once he reached the sixth.
      • Season: 2 2/3 IP | 027.3 K-BB%, 7.8 SwStr% | 23.63 ERA, 4.87 WHIP
      • This Week: 2/3 IP | 1 Ks, 3 BBs | 54.00 ERA, 9.00 WHIP
      • Notes: Wikelman Gonzalez has two short stints and was completely blown up last time out. While he has clearly been terrible to start the season, again let’s give him a wider sample size before getting too critical.
      • Season: 12 2/3 IP | 26 K-BB%, 16.3 SwStr% | 3.55 ERA, 0.79 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 2/3 IP | 5 Ks, 1 BBs | 3.86 ERA, 1.07 WHIP
      • Notes: Ty Madden is continuing his excellent 2023 season, and I would expect him to be up in AAA within the next couple of months. The interesting thing to consider is with Sawyer Gipson-Long out, is Madden next up behind Manning, or is Jobe?
      • Season: 7 IP | 5 K-BB%, 15.2 SwStr% | 12.86 ERA, 2.86 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 1/3 IP | 3 Ks, 4 BBs | 6.23 ERA, 1.85 WHIP
      • Notes: Hurston Waldrep has been demonstrating the poor command I was skeptical about with him from the beginning thus far in 2024.
      • Season: 7 IP | -3.2 K-BB%, 11.4 SwStr% | 3.86 ERA, 1.57 WHIP
      • This Week: 3 IP | 1 Ks, 1 BBs | 9.00 ERA, 2.33 WHIP
      • Notes: It’s only been a small sample size for Anthony Solometo so far in 2024, but this is a pitcher who had a big drop in production from high A to AA last season.
      • Season: 12 2/3 IP | 22 K-BB%, 16.5 SwStr% | 6.39 ERA, 1.66 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 2/3 IP | 2 Ks, 1 BBs | 7.71 ERA, 1.71 WHIP
      • Notes: Yu-Min Lin had a couple of fantastic outings before a rough one last time out against the Springfield Cardinals. Note:  The Springfield team is scoring a lot of runs.
      • Season: 9 2/3 IP | 27.5 K-BB%, 9.6 SwStr% | 4.66 ERA, 1.14 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 1 BBs | 3.60 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
      • Notes: Isaac Coffey has a strange delivery, and it’s producing solid results despite not having the highest swinging strike rate.
      • Season: 8 2/3 IP | 11.4 K-BB%, 10.3 SwStr% | 7.27 ERA, 1.96 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 2/3 IP | 5 Ks, 1 BBs | 9.64 ERA, 1.93 WHIP
      • Notes: I was never the highest on Jake Eder, and while the pitch mix is built for him to be a backend starter, I think his stuff in the Bigs will play better as a reliever.
      • Season: 16 IP | 25.9 K-BB%, 14.3 SwStr% | 0.56 ERA, 0.63 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 IP | 4 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.80 WHIP
      • Notes: It was another ridiculously good start from Adam Mazur. With Yu Darvish out, we have to wonder if Mazur could be up soon. The Padres may want Mazur and Snelling to skip AAA and the PCL.
      • Season: 15 IP | 35.8 K-BB%, 16 SwStr% | 1.20 ERA, 0.53 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 IP | 5 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 0.80 WHIP
      • Notes: Ian Seymour is older for the level, but he’s destroying and is a name to watch with the Rays in the event that Tyler Alexander doesn’t work out as a starter or they run into more injuries before Jeffrey Springs and Drew Rasmussen return in the second half.
      • Season: 13 IP | 14.3 K-BB%, 16.7 SwStr% | 0.00 ERA, 1.08 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 IP | 6 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.80 WHIP
      • Notes: Jairo Iriarte has been dealing this year. While many think he’s slated for the pen, he is demonstrating himself to be a better starter than Eder at the same level with the same team.
      • Season: 15 2/3 IP | 16.1 K-BB%, 12.8 SwStr% | 3.45 ERA, 1.02 WHIP
      • This Week: 6 IP | 4 Ks, 2 BBs | 4.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
      • Notes: Gunnar Hoglund is finally healthy and pitching some serious innings, I bet he’s up at some point this season.
      • Season: 16 IP | 32.1 K-BB%, 18.8 SwStr% | 0.00 ERA, 0.94 WHIP
      • This Week: 6 IP | 10 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.83 WHIP
      • Notes: Carson Palmquist has always carried some nice strikeout numbers, and it’s interesting to think the Rockies organization might have Dollander, Sullivan and Palmquist all in the Majors in a few years.
      • Season: 15 1/3 IP | 27.1 K-BB%, 10.9 SwStr% | 2.35 ERA, 0.85 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 IP | 10 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 0.60 WHIP
      • Notes: Mason Barnett is a former third-rounder who had a solid season in high-A and AA last year. He is now on my radar as he has continued producing in 2024.

      • This Week: 4/23 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: The K rate is insanely high to begin the season; he will have to chop that down to start raking like 2023.
      • Season: .185/.254/.296 | 6.8 BB% / 27.1 K%| 3 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
      • This Week: 2/24 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB

      • This Week: 5/20 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB
      • Notes: Brayden Taylor is an advanced hitter and should move quickly through high-A. The plate approach looks elite.
      • Season: .146/.226/.229 | 9.4 BB% / 34 K%| 3 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 5/24 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Sebastian Wallcott is off to a rough start this season and hasn’t really shown much yet outside of complex after skipping low-A.
      • Season: .245/.383/.388 | 15 BB% / 33.3 K%| 5 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 6/27 | 3 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB

      • This Week: 8/19 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 3 SB

      • This Week: 3/15 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: Jack Brannigan is repeating high-A and the increased plate skills should get him bumped up to AA quickly.
      • Season: .405/.510/.405 | 17.3 BB% / 11.5 K%| 0 XBH, 0 HR, 13 SB
      • This Week: 8/22 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 6 SB
      • Notes: For those who don’t know, Chandler Simpson is very good friends with Scott II, and they had a stolen-base competition last year. He is ready for AA.

      • This Week: 7/24 | 5 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Cam Collier is looking to rebound in 2024 after a lackluster 2023 that saw him drop off my top 150. He’s coming back with a vengeance.
      • Season: .321/.357/.509 | 5.4 BB% / 14.3 K%| 5 XBH, 2 HR, 3 SB
      • This Week: 10/28 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: Rojas is showing increased power so far in 2024, but it’s a small sample size, so let’s see if it’s real after a few more weeks.

A+ Pitchers

      • Season: 12 IP | 46.9 K-BB%, 13.9 SwStr% | 4.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
      • This Week: 8 IP (2 starts) | 13 Ks, 5 BBs | 6.75 ERA, 1.25 WHIP
      • Notes: Noah Schultz is dominating in the strikeout department, but a little like Misiorowski, he needs to reign in the control to live his best life. We have some Tyler Glasnow-like skills here.
      • Season: 5 IP | -7.1 K-BB%, 10.7 SwStr% | 3.60 ERA, 1.80 WHIP
      • This Week: 3 IP | 3 Ks, 3 BBs | 3.00 ERA, 1.67 WHIP
      • Notes: Brock Porter has had some rough outings so far in 2024, and I would wait for more of a sample size. Fve innings is nothing.
      • Season: 12 IP | 1.1 K-BB%, 15.1 SwStr% | 1.29 ERA, 1.14 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 IP | 6 Ks, 3 BBs | 5.40 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
      • Notes: Dylan Lesko is up at high-A for the Padres, and he’s a name to watch this year. He has had some rough control to date and needs to finetune that area of his game.
      • Season: 13 1/3 IP | 10.7 K-BB%, 12.2 SwStr% | 2.70 ERA, 1.13 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 1/3 IP | 1 Ks, 3 BBs | 6.23 ERA, 1.62 WHIP
      • Notes: Rhett Lowder was rocking until his rough outing this week. It’s one lackluster start; ignore it for now.
      • Season: 15 1/3 IP | 36.1 K-BB%, 22.1 SwStr% | 2.93 ERA, 0.78 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 1/3 IP | 12 Ks, 1 BBs | 6.75 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
      • Notes: Chase Dollander would be ranked ahead of Lowder if it weren’t for the fact he will be pitching in Colorado when he gets to the Majors. Still, Lowder isn’t really much better off in Great American Ballpark.
      • Season: N/A
      • This Week: 4 IP | 4 Ks, 3 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
      • Notes: Frank Mozzicato made his first start of the season this week.
      • Season: 11 IP | 26.8 K-BB%, 13.6 SwStr% | 0.82 ERA, 0.91 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 IP | 4 Ks, 1 BBs | 2.25 ERA, 1.50 WHIP
      • Notes: Hunter Barco is going to move up a level pretty quickly and should already be in AA based on his age.
      • Season: 15 2/3 IP | 44.2 K-BB%, 22.4 SwStr% | 1.64 ERA, 0.91 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 2/3 IP | 4 Ks, 1 BBs| 5.79 ERA, 1.93 WHIP
      • Notes: Sean Sullivan had a rough start last time out with a near .500 BABIP, but he should move quickly up levels.
      • Season: 13 2/3 IP | 32.2 K-BB%, 16.4 SwStr% | 3.95 ERA, 1.39 WHIP
      • This Week: 3 2/3 IP | 4 Ks, 2 BBs | 12.27 ERA, 3.27 WHIP
      • Notes: Andrew Morris is old for the level as a 2022 draftee and is a breaking ball-command pitcher more than one with killer stuff. I’m interested to see what he would be doing in AA. He had a .600 BABIP last start.
      • Season: 15 2/3 IP | 33.3 K-BB%, 15.9 SwStr% | 0.57 ERA, 0.83 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 IP | 12 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.60 WHIP
      • Notes: Winston Santos continues to destroy at the high-A level, and at 22 years old, he should move up to AA with a couple more starts like this.
      • Season: 14 2/3 IP | 26.5 K-BB%, 15.5 SwStr% | 1.23 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.23 ERA, 0.80 WHIP
      • Notes: Ben Kurdna has been stellar to start his season after popping on the scene last year. He was a second-round pick, and if he continues striking players out at this rate, he could rise up the levels quickly this year for a 2025 debut.
      • Season: 17 IP | 31.3 K-BB%, 14.7 SwStr% | 1.59 ERA, 0.82 WHIP
      • This Week: 10 1/3 IP (2 starts) | 19 Ks, 5 BBs | 2.61 ERA, 1.06 WHIP
      • Notes: Owen Murphy is a former first-rounder who is really popping this year after a strong run at A ball last year and a rough entrance to high-A.
      • Season: 11 1/3 IP | 41.3 K-BB%, 19.8 SwStr% | 0.79 ERA, 0.97 WHIP
      • This Week: 8 IP (2 starts) | 13 Ks, 0 BBs | 1.13 ERA, 0.88 WHIP
      • Notes: Jaden Hamm was a fifth-round pick. However, he has been absolutely dominant throughout his entire Minor League career and should be highlighted as a riser.
      • Season: 7 2/3 IP | 22.2 K-BB%, 14.3 SwStr% | 4.70 ERA, 1.96 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 IP | 7 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
      • Notes: Cooper Hjerpe is a former first-round pick, like Murphy, with a funky delivery. He’s old for this level and should be up in AA at this point. He might end up as a reliever because of the strange delivery.

A Hitters

      • Season: N/A
      • This Week: 0/1 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Walker Jenkins got hurt in his first game with a quad strain and could be on that Royce Lewis timeline to begin the year.
      • Season: .286/.373/.367 | 13.6 BB% / 22 K%| 2 XBH, 1 HR, 4 SB
      • This Week: 11/27 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 4 SB
      • Notes: It was a nice week for Max Clark. Last time, I mentioned letting the tools play, and here they are!
      • Season: .277/.397/.404 | 13.8 BB% / 10.3 K%| 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 2/18 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Lazaro Montes is too good for this level, but I guess they want to get the confidence up before promoting him to high-A. He had a pretty rough week.
      • Season: .171/.271/.268 | 12.2 BB% / 53.1 K%| 3 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 3/15 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: I’m concerned for Druw Jones. He hasn’t played baseball in almost two years. He looks pretty bad offensively and this is running a .438 BABIP.
      • Season: .233/.340/.488 | 14 BB% / 32 K%| 7 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
      • This Week: 3/18 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: It was a rough week for Davis, who should really be playing in high-A based on age to level.
      • Season: .318/.400/.591 | 8 BB% / 20 K%| 2 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
      • This Week: N/A
      • Notes: Colt Emerson didn’t play this week, as he’s likely out for a few weeks with an oblique injury.
      • Season: .200/.273/.260 | 7.3 BB% / 27.3 K%| 2 XBH, 0 HR, 3 SB
      • This Week: 4/20 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: It’s a small sample size, but this dude will be a stud.
      • Season: .318/.407/.445 | 14.8 BB% / 22.2 K%| 2 XBH, 0 HR, 3 SB
      • This Week: N/A
      • Notes: Cooper Pratt broke his pinkie finger and is probably out for at least four weeks as he recovers.
      • Season: .318/.367/.545 | 8.2 BB% / 20.4 K%| 6 XBH, 2 HR, 5 SB
      • This Week: 6/20 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
      • Notes: Aidan Miller is a player I thought would move off shortstop to third, but he’s showing some early athleticism this season.
      • Season: .325/.491/.600 | 22.6 BB% / 15.1 K%| 7 XBH, 2 HR, 5 SB
      • This Week: 6/21 (w/ 8 BBs) | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 3 SB
      • Notes: Jaison Chourio is only a year younger than his brother and could be close to as good. Still, the Guardians are an organization that promotes slowly, so it’s unlikely we’ll see a jump similar to what the Brewers did with Jackson.
      • Season: .306/.414/.633 | 13.8 BB% / 22.4 K%| 10 XBH, 3 HR, 4 SB
      • This Week: 6/21 | 3 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB
      • Notes: The Dodgers have an embarrassment of riches. Zyhir Hope was an 11th-rounder they got back in the Michael Busch trade.
      • Season: .350/.519/.500 | 24.1 BB% / 11.1 K%| 3 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB
      • This Week: 2/15 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 1 SB
      • Notes: An international signee from Venezuela, this dude has come out of nowhere.
      • Season: .341/.460/.585 | 14 BB% / 20 K%| 6 XBH, 4 HR, 2 SB
      • This Week: 11/23 | 6 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB
      • Notes: Ricardo Cabrera has come in hot, mostly playing at complex and in the DSL last season; he’s definitely a name to watch.

MLB Daily Lineups

A Pitchers

      • Season: 9 IP | -7.7 K-BB%, 8.6 SwStr% | 8.00 ERA, 2.11 WHIP
      • This Week: 4 2/3 IP | 3 Ks, 2 BBs | 5.79 ERA, 1.50 WHIP
      • Notes: Noble Meyer seems to be getting his feet under him still. It’s a small sample size. Don’t freak out.
      • Season: 16 IP | 32.7 K-BB%, 16.2 SwStr% | 1.13 ERA, 0.63 WHIP
      • This Week: 6 IP | 4 Ks, 1 BBs | 3.00 ERA, 1.17 WHIP
      • Notes: Santiago Suarez looks insane statistically, and I’m putting him on my video list for my next top 150.
      • Season: 10 IP | 45.5 K-BB%, 16.7 SwStr% | 0.00 ERA, 0.50 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.36 WHIP
      • Notes: Quinn Matthews is known as a college player who pitched a ton of innings and should probably have started in high A. However, the Cardinals have been passive about promotions (annoyingly).
      • Season: 15 IP | 37.7 K-BB%, 18.4 SwStr% | 0.00 ERA, 0.60 WHIP
      • This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.80 WHIP
      • Notes: Geroge Klassen, like Matthews, is too old for the low-A level and needs to be bumped up soon. So, while the numbers are eye-popping, the age-to-level is not really fair.
  • Jonah Tong (SP – NYM)
      • Season: 12 2/3 IP | 45.8 K-BB%, 22.1 SwStr% | 0.00 ERA, 0.79 WHIP
      • This Week: 8 1/3 IP (2 starts) | 16 Ks, 3 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.72 WHIP
      • Notes: Unlike Matthews and Klassen, Jonah Tong is only 20 and is striking all these players out. If he continues playing with prospects like this in Low A, he should be brought up sooner rather than later.
