NFL DFS Cash Game Lineup Advice & Picks (Week 2)

NFL DFS Cash Game Lineup Advice & Picks (Week 2)

This article aims to find the obvious plays that will be rostered everywhere, and we succeeded with that in Week 1. It was a bizarre week of DFS with every tight end struggling, and it should be fun to see how things play out this week!

With that said, let’s dive into this week’s cash game options.

Week 2 Cash Game DFS Advice & Picks

The players below are the ones I’m looking at for cash game considerations for Week 2.

Quarterbacks

DraftKings

Patrick Mahomes (QB – KC): $7,000 vs. CIN

Everybody watched the opener on Thursday and saw how special this revamped offense looks. Mahomes has made magic with dead rabbits over recent years, and it’s scary to think how special he’ll look with so much talent on this offense. With that potential, he’ll be rostered everywhere at just $7K, especially since Cincy surrendered the sixth-most passing yards in the NFL last season.

Jayden Daniels (QB – WAS): $6,200 vs. NYG

Daniels didn’t reach 200 passing yards or throw a touchdown in Week 1, but he still had 28 DraftKings points. His rushing will be a game-changer all season, and it’s hard to believe that he’s just $6,200 after a Week 1 showing like that. A home matchup with the Giants will not stray people away because they made Sam Darnold look like Peyton Manning in Week 1.

FanDuel

Lamar Jackson (QB – BAL): $8,800 vs. LV

We just talked about how everyone watched Mahomes on Thursday, and Jackson was the star of that game. He looked like the best player on the field, scoring 28 FanDuel points in that gem. He ran everywhere in that masterpiece and will have another remarkable outing against the Raiders. Baltimore is one of the highest-projected offenses on this slate, with Vegas allowing nearly 200 rushing yards in Week 1. That’s what matters when talking about a speedster like Lamar.

Joe Burrow (QB – CIN): $7,400 at KC

We all saw Burrow struggle mightily in Week 1, along with the rest of the Bengals, but seeing him at $7,400 is laughable. This guy is always above $8K, and DFS managers will use him at this diminished price. Ja’Marr Chase should be ready for a full workload, while Tee Higgins will likely return. That should lead to a bounceback performance from Burrow, who has always gone off in KC throughout his career!

Running Backs

DraftKings

JK Dobbins (RB – LAC): $5,400 at CAR

Dobbins has always been an elite talent, and it was exciting to see him run wild in Week 1. The speedster had 10 carries for 135 yards in the opener and led all LA backs with a 58 percent snap share. All football fans saw Dobbins rip off numerous lengthy runs, but this $5,400 price tag was a mistake since it was released before that gem. Facing Carolina only adds to his intrigue because LA is a massive favorite, while the Panthers posted a 27th OPRK against opposing backs last year!

Jordan Mason (RB – SF): $5,200 at MIN

This is only relevant if Christian McCaffrey is out again, but Mason would be rostered in every lineup if that’s the case. DK released this price before that Monday mayhem, with Mason collecting 28 carries for 147 yards against one of the best defenses in the NFL. That makes this price tag silly because DK didn’t know Mason was going to be a workhorse back in McCaffrey’s absence.

FanDuel

Derrick Henry (RB – BAL): $7,500 vs. LV

DFS managers are intelligent people who know Henry is a stud when the game script is in his favor. That’s what we have here because Baltimore is a 9.5-point home favorite, the largest spread on this slate! That’s the perfect opportunity for Henry because he’s likely looking at 20-plus carries and some goal-line opportunities. When this guy gets at least 20 carries, he’s averaging over 20 fantasy points per game! Not to mention, Vegas posted a 24th OPRK against opposing backs last year.

Jordan Mason (RB – SF): $5,500 at MIN

We rarely include the same player in both sections, but Mason will be rostered everywhere if McCaffrey is out. He was the workhorse back for the 49ers in Week 1, and that role is always an elite opportunity. If McCaffrey is out, don’t be surprised to see Mason in over 50 percent of the lineups and in every cash game on the slate.

Wide Receivers

DraftKings

Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR – DET): $8,100 vs. TB

St. Brown has seen his price drop after his Week 1 dud, but that was an outlier. This receiver was one of the most consistent pass-catchers in the NFL last season, scoring at least 13 DraftKings points in all but one game en route to a 22-point average. That’s why he was a first-round pick in drafts, and a matchup with Tampa is the way to get him back on track. The Bucs surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts last season, with ASB scoring 22 and 33 DK points in their two matchups!

Jameson Williams (WR – DET): $5,300 vs. TB

The Sunday Night game is always a showcase, and Williams showed everyone why Detroit was so high on him. The speedster had 134 total yards and a touchdown in Week 1, thanks to his nine targets. The most impactful variable is getting nine targets, playing in 85 percent of the team’s snaps. That type of opportunity is all fans have been waiting for, and it’s hard to believe he’s just $5,300 in this type of matchup.

FanDuel

Cooper Kupp (WR – LAR): $7,700 at ARI

Kupp might’ve had the most impressive performance in Week 1, recording 14 catches for 110 yards on 21 targets! Anybody who gets 21 targets needs to be a top option, and it should continue since Puka Nacua is injured. We saw Kupp at $10K two seasons ago when he was the best receiver in football, and everyone will roster him below $8K against a 21st-ranked Arizona secondary.

Rashee Rice (WR – KC): $6,900 vs. CIN

Rice was featured in my Smash Starts article, and we truly believe he might become a Top 5 receiver this season. He averaged about seven catches for 80 yards in the second half of last season and kickstarted the year with seven receptions for 103 yards in Week 1. Mahomes will make this guy a stud, and we saw Rice record five catches for 127 yards in his one matchup with Cincy last season. Don’t be surprised to see Rice at $8K a month from now.

Tight Ends

DraftKings

Travis Kelce (TE – KC): $6,200 vs. CIN

Kelce struggled with every other tight end last week, but people will roster him since the position is so mucky. There aren’t many reliable options, but Kelce has been a Top 3 tight end in six straight seasons. That consistency is challenging to overlook, mainly since Cincy surrendered the third-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends last year. This guy is typically above $7,000, and you better believe he’ll be highly rostered at this diminished salary.

FanDuel

Sam LaPorta (TE – DET): $7,900 vs. TB

LaPorta is this slate’s most expensive tight end, but people will use him because the position is so pitiful. There aren’t many guys worth trusting, but LaPorta is worth paying up for. The tight end had 86 catches for 889 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, and he’s only scratching the surface of what he could become. We already talked about how terrible Tampa’s secondary was, and we saw LaPorta provide nine catches for 65 yards in their playoff matchup last season!

Defense/Special Teams

DraftKings

Baltimore Ravens D/ST: $3,700 vs. LVR

Most football fans know that the Ravens have one of the best defenses in football, and it’s ridiculous to see them third in salary in a matchup like this. The Raiders scored just 10 points in Week 1 and might have one of the worst offenses in football. That’s why the Ravens are a 9.5-point favorite in a game with a 41-point total. Vegas is projected to score just 16 points, and everybody will roster the Ravens with that much in their favor.

FanDuel

Los Angeles Chargers D/ST: $4,400 at CAR

No defense facing the Panthers should be outside the Top 5 regarding salary. That’s what we’re seeing for the Chargers, and it makes no sense since they surrendered just 10 points in Week 1. We’re talking about a Panthers team that ranked last in points scored and total yardage last season, looking just as bad in Week 1. That’s why the Chargers are a 6.5-point favorite in a game with a 39-point total.
