Dynasty Draft Kit 2025

Dynasty Rookie Draft Values to Target

Who is an undervalued rookie RB based on early rookie rankings that you’ll be targeting in dynasty drafts and why?

Cam Skattebo (RB – NYG)

Cam Skattebo, selected by the New York Giants in the 4th round, 105th overall pick, is an undervalued player due to his slower 4.65-second 40-yard dash. His 2024 season at Arizona State, where he amassed 1,711 rushing yards, 21 touchdowns, and 605 receiving yards, showcases his ability to dominate as a dual-threat back, making him a steal at his current RB7 and 17th overall ADP. Skattebo’s physicality, contact balance, and ability to break tackles (183 forced missed tackles since 2022) make him a perfect complement to the Giants’ shifty Tyrone Tracy Jr., adding a bruising dimension to their backfield. His standout College Football Playoff performance against Texas, including 143 rushing yards, 99 receiving yards, and a 42-yard touchdown pass, highlights his clutch playmaking ability. This pick is a great value for the Giants, as Skattebo’s relentless style and receiving prowess project him as an immediate contributor with three-down potential, and could easily lead to a scenario where he takes the RB1 job away from Tracy Jr.”

Jaydon Blue (RB – DAL)

Jaydon Blue is a steal as the RB11 in the rankings and 30th overall. The former Texas star was a Day 3 pick but landed in an excellent situation for his fantasy value. Last year, Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders ranked in the bottom 16 among 70 running backs with at least 55 rushing attempts in yards per attempt. Furthermore, both veterans averaged 2.51 or fewer rushing yards per attempt last season. While it might be too early to call him the next De’Von Achane, Blue could have a similar rookie year to the star running back with two ineffective veterans ahead of him on the depth chart.”
Mike Fanelli (FantasyPros)

Jaydon Blue – I was surprised to see Dallas wait this long to draft a running back, and they ended up drafting the speedster out of Texas who currently doesn’t have a lot of competition in the backfield. They also didn’t draft a wide receiver, so Blue has a great opportunity to carve out a role in the passing game and be fantasy relevant in PPR leagues. He will likely be a third-round pick in rookie drafts, so I see this as a low-risk, high-reward player I will be targeting in drafts.”
Joey Meinerding (Fantasy Dink)

Jaydon Blue is absolutely worth the punt in rookie drafts over the upcoming days and weeks. Currently, he is overall 28 and RB10, which is a steal of a price. Blue enters a running back room with Miles Sanders and Javonte Williams in Dallas, both of whom are on one-year deals. Both see their stocks at rock bottom currently, and who is to say that they will for sure rebound? Blue will be waiting in the wings to potentially make this job his own. Blue brings to Dallas blazing speed, as evidenced by his 4.38 time at the combine. Despite him being undersized, the chance to have the Cowboys RB1 at the cost of a 3rd-round choice feels like a no-brainer.”
Ed Birdsall (Talking Points Sports)

Kyle Monangai (RB – CHI)

“RB Kyle Monangai from Rutgers. The 5-foot-8, 211-pound bowling ball RB posted back-to-back seasons with 1,200-plus rushing yards with a top 10 PFF rushing grade in 2023 (33% dominator rating). He is a hard-nosed, tough bowling ball when he carries the rock. And he does all the little things right, including pass protection and ball security (zero career fumbles). Considering Ben Johnson has soured on D’Andre Swift before – Swift was phased out of the Lions’ offense in Johnson’s 1st year as Lions OC in 2022 – it’s just a matter of when the 7th-rounder gets his opportunities to run behind a revamped Bears offensive line. I like his odds given that the new Bears RB coach, Eric Bieniemy, has a perfect hit record on 7th RBs drafted from Rutgers (Isiah Pacheco).”
Andrew Erickson (FantasyPros)

Kyle Monangai is a worthwhile dart throw outside the top 20 among the rookie RBs. Granted, the hit rate for seventh-round RBs is poor, but there are reasons to like the player, and the landing spot is potentially lucrative. Monangai is a decisive, no-frills runner with surprising power for a 5-8, 211-pound back. A two-time 1,200-yard rusher at Rutgers, Monangai runs with the heart of a warrior. D’Andre Swift ranked dead last in rushing yards over expected per attempt (-0.69) among all RBs with at least 90 carries last season. Roschon Johnson ranked 112th in yards after contact per attempt (1.3). It’s still possible the Bears sign a free-agent RB like Nick Chubb or J.K. Dobbins, but as it stands now, Monangai has a good chance to make a meaningful contribution to a Chicago offense that could be significantly improved in 2025 with new head coach Ben Johnson overseeing the offense.”
Pat Fitzmaurice (FantasyPros)

Montrell Johnson (RB – PHI)

“The low-hanging fruit, both of whom are fairly valued, are Ashton Jeanty and Omarion Hampton. However, if you’re looking for a long shot, I still like Montrell Johnson’s talent. He has the ideal size, speed, and receiving ability to be a bell cow, if given the chance. Montrell went undrafted but shortly thereafter signed with the Eagles. Time will tell if he makes the team or eventually lands somewhere else, but Montrell Johnson is a very talented lottery ticket that I’m willing to take a shot with, and he’s going very late (Rookie Ranking RB 30). Ringo’s comp- a faster version of former Broncos Hall-of-Fame RB, Terrell Davis.”
Mark Ringo (Sleepers and Busts)

Tahj Brooks (RB – CIN)

“I know I’m a Bengals fan, but Tahj Brooks has a very easy path to production in that offense. Chase Brown did well last year, but we all know running backs rarely last a whole season. The team re-signed Samaje Perine, but Brooks has the higher upside. He was a stud in college, and all it would take for him to show off in the NFL is one injury to Brown. I’m in at his current RB17 cost.”
Andrew Hall (FantasyPros)

Devin Neal (RB – NO)

“The answer here is Devin Neal. I really like how Neal did everything well on tape, despite not having an exceptional trait. But he’s going to be a guy coaches love. He can easily become the Saints’ workhorse of the future once Alvin Kamara retires, and the team has been begging for a secondary piece right now to take some of the load off their aging superstar back. With only Kendre Miller and Clyde Edwards-Helaire seemingly standing in his way for RB2 duties, Neal appears to be an ideal candidate to get the workload at RB we want sooner rather than later. And you can easily grab him in the 3rd round of your rookie drafts.”
Jeremy Shulman (Fantasy Football Universe)

Devin Neal has a prime opportunity in New Orleans with Kamara and Williams entering their age-30 seasons and Kendre Miller‘s injury history. The Kansas all-time leading rusher (4,343 yards, 53 TDs, and 20 100+ yard games) possesses the speed and production to thrive in the Saints’ offense if called upon and could contribute 500-700 yards as a rookie, with the potential to compete for the starting role and 1,000+ yard seasons by 2026-2027. His long-term upside makes him a valuable dynasty target or to hold on your taxi squad to see how things progress.”
