Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Half-PPR (2025)

Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Half-PPR (2025)

Welcome to our 10-team half-PPR fantasy football mock draft, where we’ll be drafting from the coveted 1.01 spot. The plan is to anchor the roster with a Hero RB strategy, locking in an elite running back early, then shifting focus to stacking reliable wide receivers and value picks in the middle rounds.

In a half-PPR format, pass-catching backs and volume receivers get a bump, making roster balance even more crucial. Let’s see how the draft unfolds from the top of the board.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft

1.01: Bijan Robinson (RB – ATL)

Obviously, this comes down to Bijan Robinson or Ja’Marr Chase, and you can’t go wrong with either.

But for this mock draft, I am using the Hero RB strategy with the idea of landing one elite back and then building around him with high-volume pass-catchers.

2.10: Trey McBride (TE – ARI)

Trey McBride is my guy, and I will try to draft him in all my PPR leagues. When choosing a TE1, you can’t go wrong with either McBride or Brock Bowers.

McBride had 111 receptions last year, one shy of Bowers, but finished ahead of other elite receivers like Justin Jefferson (103), CeeDee Lamb (101) and Garrett Wilson (101).

3.01: Ladd McConkey (WR – LAC)

In his first pro season, Ladd McConkey instantly built chemistry with Justin Herbert, hauling in 82 receptions (19th-most), 1,149 yards and seven touchdowns.

With the lack of pass-catchers in Los Angeles, McConkey should be in store for another high-volume year.

4.10: DJ Moore (WR – CHI)

DJ Moore is another wide receiver who sees a ton of volume. He had 140 targets last season, catching 98 of them for 966 yards and six touchdowns. Yes, Chicago added more playmakers on offense, but we know how elite Ben Johnson’s offense can be when firing on all cylinders.

Moore should be the Amon-Ra St. Brown of this Bears offense

5.01: Chuba Hubbard (RB – CAR)

Typically, in a deeper league, you are not as lucky to grab a player like Chuba Hubbard in the fifth round using the Hero RB strategy.

Being able to grab Hubbard this late in a smaller draft has crazy amounts of value. Hubbard finished the 2024 season with 1,195 yards rushing — ninth-most in the NFL — ahead of backs like Bucky Irving, Joe Mixon, James Cook and Chase Brown.

6.10: Courtland Sutton (WR – DEN)

Courtland Sutton will once again be Bo Nix‘s No. 1 WR in 2025. Denver did add Evan Engram, Sutton’s big-play ability makes me feel confident in him as my WR3.

DeVonta Smith was also an option, but, as you will see with my next pick, I wanted to get some sort of stack.

7.01: Bo Nix (QB – DEN)

Landing Courtland Sutton and Bo Nix in back-to-back picks helped me achieve my stacking goal.

Nix adds a rushing element to his game, rushing for four touchdowns last season — surprisingly, the same amount as Lamar Jackson.

8.10: Emeka Egbuka (WR – TB)

Emeka Egbuka is the best wide receiver from this year’s draft class and has landed in a perfect spot with the Buccaneers.

Mike Evans isn’t getting any younger, and Chris Godwin is coming off a horrific ankle injury. With Godwin likely missing the start of the season and Jalen McMillan also out with an injury, Egbuka is inserted into a primetime spot.

9.01: Deebo Samuel (WR – WSH)

A lot of drafters may be down on Deebo Samuel after leaving Kyle Shanahan’s offense, but Kliff Kingsbury’s offense can be just as creative.

I think we will see Samuel in the same role he had in San Francisco and will be just as effective. Buy the dip.

10.10: Cam Skattebo (RB – NYG)

Now we start adding depth to our running back room after taking only two backs with our first nine picks.

Cam Skattebo is dealing with an injury, which is fine. Tyrone Tracy may get the majority of the reps, but Skattebo has the potential to return and lead the backfield later in the season. We can just stash him on the bench until that point.

11.01: Jacory Croskey-Merritt (RB – WSH)

Another running back I am willing to stash with huge upside. There are rumors Brian Robinson Jr. could be traded before Week 1. And even if he is not, Washington has made it known they want someone fast and more explosive leading their backfield.

Jacory Crosky-Merrit has been making a name for himself during the preseason and has continued to get expanded playing time. He looks fast and more elusive than Robinson. Croskey-Merritt is worth a dart throw in the later rounds of all your drafts.

12.10: Brock Purdy (QB – SF)

This is a pure value pick. Brock Purdy finished as a top-10 fantasy quarterback last year despite dealing with numerous injuries on the offensive side of the ball.

13.01: Bhayshul Tuten (RB – JAX)

Jacksonville is high on Bhayshul Tuten, and for good reason. With Liam Coen calling the shots, he could be this year’s version of Bucky Irving.

Per Pro Football Focus (PFF), Tuten finished his final collegiate season 10th in yards after contact per attempt and eighth in elusive rating.

14.10: Cameron Dicker (K – LAC)

Cameron Dicker is the No. 2-ranked fantasy kicker, per expert consensus rankings (ECR).

15.01: Los Angeles Chargers D/ST

The Chargers were the best available D/ST.
