We get a large selection of games to choose from today on both DFS sites. The main MLB DFS slate on DraftKings begins at 12:35 p.m. ET and includes nine games. FanDuel’s main slate is similar, but includes an extra game between San Francisco and Colorado at Coors Field.
If you play on FanDuel, consider rostering offensive players from that game. However, for the sake of consistency across sites, no recommendations from that game will be seen below.

Sunday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings (5/31)
| PLAYER | DraftKings Salary | FanDuel Salary |
| Jacob Misiorowski | $11,600 | $11,900 |
| Braxton Ashcraft | $9,100 | $10,300 |
| Nick Lodolo | $7,400 | $8,500 |
- With how Jacob Misiorowski is pitching, he almost has to be a recommendation at any cost. He has a truly remarkable 40.3% strikeout rate. There are only two other qualified pitchers with strikeout rates above 30%. Misiorowski’s strikeout-minus-walk rate of 32.7% is 7% better than Dylan Cease, who is second.
- One of the quieter breakouts of the 2026 season has been the emergence of Braxton Ashcraft. His 2.92 expected ERA ranks in the top 10 among qualified starters. While nowhere near as impressive as Misiorowski’s, Ashcraft’s 19.3% strikeout-minus-walk rate is a top-20 mark in the league.
- Nick Lodolo is coming off his best start of the season with seven strikeouts over six innings. He allowed only a single earned run in that start. Last season, over 25% of his starts concluded with at least seven strikeouts. Lodolo’s matchup against the Braves is tough, but his reduced price could be worth the risk. It’s an especially appealing price on DraftKings.
Suggested Lineup Stacks
Washington Nationals Projected Lineup (5/31)
| POS | PLAYER | DraftKings Salary | FanDuel Salary |
| OF | James Wood | $6,200 | $4,400 |
| 2B/1B | Luis Garcia | $3,700 | $2,700 |
| 1B/3B/2B | Curtis Mead | $4,800 | $3,200 |
| SS | CJ Abrams | $5,700 | $3,900 |
| OF | Dylan Crews | $3,800 | $2,600 |
| OF | Daylen Lile | $4,700 | $3,200 |
| OF | Jacob Young | $3,100 | $2,600 |
| C | Keibert Ruiz | $3,600 | $2,800 |
| 2B/SS | Nasim Nunez | $3,400 | $2,700 |
- The Washington Nationals have a matchup today against the San Diego Padres. The Padres plan to start right-handed pitcher Griffin Canning. He has been a bit unlucky to have an ERA of 7.54, as his expected ERA is 4.55 and his FIP is 4.96. Canning’s WHIP is 1.54, which shows how many batters he is putting on base. A whopping 51% of the balls hit against him have been classified as hard hit on Statcast.
- The Nationals’ offense just keeps getting it done. They are currently the top team in runs scored and are in the top five in OPS. James Wood has been one of the best hitters all season. He’s been especially hot recently with a 1.127 OPS in the last 14 days. Woods’ OPS against right-handed pitchers this season is 1.007.
- Not all top prospects hit the ground running. Sometimes it takes a few seasons. The obvious player who fits that bill this season is Jordan Walker. Curtis Mead also applies. Going into this season, Mead had five career home runs in 488 plate appearances. He has eight home runs in 150 plate appearances this season. Four of those home runs have come in the past two weeks.
- Luis Garcia has typically only been usable against right-handed pitchers in his career. Somewhat surprisingly, he has actually performed slightly better against left-handed pitchers this season, with a .714 OPS against left-handed pitchers versus a .695 OPS against right-handed pitchers. He continues to hit the ball hard with a 48.6% hard-hit rate.
Boston Red Sox Projected Lineup (5/31)
| POS | PLAYER | DraftKings Salary | FanDuel Salary |
| OF | Jarren Duran | $4,600 | $3,300 |
| OF/2B/SS | Ceddanne Rafaela | $3,300 | $2,900 |
| OF | Wilyer Abreu | $3,900 | $3,000 |
| 1B/C | Willson Contreras | $4,100 | $3,300 |
| OF | Masataka Yoshida | $2,600 | $2,500 |
| C/2B/1B | Mickey Gasper | $2,900 | $2,300 |
| 2B/3B/SS | Nick Sogard | $3,000 | $2,700 |
| 2B/SS/3B | Marcelo Mayer | $2,500 | $2,400 |
| 2B/SS/3B | Isiah Kiner-Falefa | $2,100 | $2,500 |
- The Cleveland Guardians are starting Tanner Bibee today. The 2026 season has not been kind to Bibee. He has an ERA of 4.57, with the indicators saying that it is widely earned. His strikeout rate has fallen to a new career-low, while his walk rate has risen to a new career-high. Bibee’s groundball rate has also fallen to 36%, which leaves him susceptible to the home run. In his most recent start, he allowed five home runs.
- Willson Contreras has a decade-long career to look back on, but this looks like the best version of him yet. He has upped his launch angle just a bit, which has helped boost his barrel rate and expected slugging rate to new career-best levels. He has an .896 OPS on the season, which would also be a career-best.
- Wilyer Abreu hasn’t hit a home run since May 8th. He does have five doubles in the past two weeks, so he hasn’t been completely devoid of power. This is a good matchup for Abreau to turn it around. Five of his six home runs this season have been against right-handed pitchers.
- Isiah Kiner-Falefa has a hit in six straight games. He’s had two hits in each of his last three games. While only two of the hits have gone for extra bases, Kiner-Falefa is still offering a safe floor at a bargain basement price on DraftKings.
Core Studs
| POS | PLAYER | DraftKings Salary | FanDuel Salary |
| OF | Jackson Chourio | $5,100 | $3,400 |
| 2B/OF | Fernando Tatis Jr. | $4,500 | $3,000 |
| 2B | Brandon Lowe | $5,600 | $3,700 |
- Jackson Chourio has only hit a pair of home runs since coming back from the injured list (IL). His underlying data indicate more power is coming soon. He has had 12 barrels, resulting in a 19.7% barrel rate. That means Chourio could easily have six or more home runs already.
- It finally happened yesterday. Fernando Tatis Jr. hit his first home run of the season. Even as he has struggled to hit home runs, he has maintained a 51.6% hard-hit rate. The biggest issue has been a 0.9-degree launch angle, but now that he has one home run, perhaps he has his swing dialed back in.
- Brandon Lowe was ejected for the first time in his nearly decade-long career yesterday. Typically, I try to avoid the stories, but you have to wonder if he’ll let his bat do the talking today. Lowe has a matchup against right-handed pitcher Zebby Matthews. His OPS against righties this season is .995.
Value Plays/Punts
| POS | PLAYER | DraftKings Salary | FanDuel Salary |
| 1B/OF | Joc Pederson | $3,400 | $2,800 |
| SS | Jeremy Pena | $3,800 | $2,900 |
| 1B | Nathaniel Lowe | $3,300 | $2,900 |
- Joc Pederson is starting to dial in his home run swing with four homers in the past week. He also has an extensive track record against Michael Wacha, who will be opposing him today. Pederson has gone 7-for-26 against Wacha in his career, with five extra-base hits, including a pair of home runs.
- It won’t be much longer before Jeremy Pena will no longer be cheap enough to be considered a value play. Yesterday, he hit his third home run in the past week. Pena finally seems healthy after a couple of injuries slowed the start of his season.
- Nathaniel Lowe has a home matchup today against right-handed pitcher Spencer Strider. Lowe should play in that matchup as he has settled into a platoon role against righties. In one of the starkest contrasts you’ll ever see, he has a 1.043 OPS against right-handed pitchers this season, and an OPS of .063 against left-handed pitchers. Eight of his nine home runs have come in home games.
Sunday’s Top 3 Underdog Player Props
Braxton Ashcraft (SP, RP – MIL): 5.5 Strikeouts — Higher
Braxton Ashcraft has recorded at least five strikeouts in his last 10 starts. In that stretch, he’s finished with exactly five strikeouts three times, including two of his last three starts. Ashcraft’s two recent starts with five strikeouts were against the Phillies and Cubs.
The Cubs are one of the bottom 10 teams in the league in strikeout rate against right-handed pitchers. The Phillies are right in the middle in terms of strikeout rate against right-handed pitchers. Meanwhile, the Twins are among the five highest teams in baseball in strikeout rate against right-handed pitchers.
Jarren Duran (OF, DH – BOS): 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs — Higher
Jarren Duran wasn’t mentioned above in the Red Sox section, as he is still striking out too much to justify those prices. That said, he can clear this number in a matchup against Tanner Bibee. Duran has exceeded this mark in his last five games and eight of his last 10.
Tatsuya Imai (SP – HOU): 4.5 Strikeouts — Lower
Tatsuya Imai is coming off a hitless six-inning outing, but even in that performance, he was only able to strike out two batters. He has cleared 4.5 strikeouts in two of his six starts this season.
Imai’s matchup today is against a Brewers team that strikes out only 20.5% of the time against right-handed pitchers. That’s a bottom-five mark in the league.
