Gage Jump allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks while striking out seven over 5 2/3 innings in Saturday's loss to the White Sox.

Jump has offered mixed results on the mound of late, allowing three earned runs or more in three of his last six contests. The left-hander has offered manager Mark Kotsay one of the more stable starting options as part of an underwhelming Athletics rotation, carrying a 3.51 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with a 3-4 record and 8.9 K/9 ratio across nine starts.
