Griffin Jax allowed one run on four hits and three walks while striking out three across five innings in Saturday's 6-1 victory over the Seattle Mariners.
Fantasy Impact:
While Jax issued three walks, his most since allowing four in his May 13 start against the Toronto Blue Jays, he was still able to limit Seattle to one run. A big reason for his success was his ability to avoid hard contact, as he allowed just three singles and a double. Through 14 starts this season, Jax owns a 2.80 ERA and 1.13 WHIP and is worth a waiver wire add if still available.
