Tonight’s 10-game slate features seven stars with salary’s over $10,000. Some are in terrific matchups (Russell Westbrook, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant), but there are legitimate concerns with each that will keep them out of my cash game lineups. Rather, I’ll be spending down on some lesser names for lesser costs who have been performing like stars. That, and the value plays on this slate are so minimal that our hands are nearly forced. In fact, every single player in my lineup costs at least $5,400. I don’t believe I’ve ever done that before. Let me show you how it all came together:

Point Guard
Elfrid Payton (PHO): $7,200 vs OKC
It used to be unthinkable to even consider Elfrid for a cash game, but ever since he landed in Phoenix, he has magically turned into the most consistent point guard in the league. He has now posted 8 consecutive games and 14 of his past 16 with 30+ FanDuel points. The over/under in tonight’s game versus the Thunder is a whopping 226, so we can expect another 5x performance from the electric point guard.

Trey Burke (NYK): $5,400 @ LAC
It took long enough, but Burke is finally showing us that he is who we thought he was. The new Knick has now put up 44.8, 40.0 and 31.7 FanDuel points in his last three games including 23.5 PPG and 6.3 APG in that time. Even with a difficult DVP versus the Clippers tonight, Burke’s sudden surge warrants a cash game play in what should be a pace-up game.
Shooting Guard
Devin Booker (PHO): $8,800 vs OKC
I mentioned the monster over/under in this game already. Perhaps more important, however, is that Booker has seemingly morphed into a star over the past two weeks. He is averaging 33.8 PPG over his past five and has now given DFS lineups 49.7, 62.5 and 47.3 FanDuel points over the last week. He is my #1 absolute must-play this evening.
Zach LaVine (CHI): $7,900 vs DAL
Have you seen the Bulls’ starting lineup tonight? Cristiano Da Silva Felicio, David Nwaba, Kris Dunn and Lauri Markkanen. You can expect LaVine’s usage to be through the roof again in what is projected to be a high-scoring close-fought game against the Mavericks. Since that the Bulls have ramped his minutes up to 30 per game, he has been blazing.
Small Forward
Paul George (OKC): $8,700 @ PHX
Many lineups will be using Russell Westbrook this evening in this up-tempo affair, but he has been up and down since the all-star break. George, meanwhile, has been an absolute rock, going for 43.4 FanDuel Points per game over his last 15 including several 7X performances. That is what he needs tonight to reach 5x value, and with the matchup and tempo at hand, I’d be surprised if he didn’t attain it yet again.
Michael Beasley (NYK): $5,500 @ LAC
You might see his total stinker of a box score against the Warriors earlier this week and be turned off, but look a little further down and you’ll see that up to that rough game, he has gone for 5x value in six consecutive contests. During that time, he averaged 33.1 FanDuel points per game. When you mix in a matchup against the bottom-quadrant DVP Clippers, you’ll see why he is among the top plays of the evening.
Power Forward
Dwight Powell (DAL): $5,600 @ CHI
The Mavericks don’t have much going for them right now, but Powell has been playing terrific basketball since they decided to bump his minutes up. He has now posted 25+ FanDuel points in 9 of 10 games including 42.1 in his most recent performance. If that weren’t enough, the Mavs are expected to put up a healthy 107.5 points tonight versus the Bulls who, as I mentioned, are currently playing a whole bunch of nobodies.
Jabari Parker (MIL): $5,600 vs IND
This one is really quite simple so let’ try not to over-think it. Parker has been seeing his minutes trend up 2 to 4 minutes every game unless it is the second game of a back-to-back. He is coming off a day of rest so we can expect 28 to 30 minutes from the young scorer. So far this season, he has been scoring a FanDuel point per minute, and if he continues that trend this evening, he will be at around 6x value like we saw twice last week.
Center
Myles Turner (IND): $6,000 @ MIL
This is a near-ideal matchup for Turner, who comes in at a spectacular price. While he hasn’t exactly been reliable, he has managed to average right at 5x value since the Pacers got his minutes back up to 30 minutes per game early in February. Considering the Bucks can’t rebound to save their lives, we may be looking at a big double-double from the Turner this evening.
