Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Assistant Analyze Moves Who To Pick Up

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Report

I won’t hit on every prospect every week, but will focus on the most relevant prospects throughout the week and will follow up with other notable players. This article will not focus on any AAAA-type players or veterans in the Minors who have outlived their prospect status. I am showing only 2024 season stats until we start reaching relevant sample sizes in May for 2025.

NOTE: Rookie status is determined by 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched at the Major League level. All stats are up-to-date as of Sunday, April 27th.

Full Top 150 Prospect Rankings:

It should be noted we are closing in on stabilization of some statistical output now at this point in the minor league season, see below for some relevant stabilization sample sizes. I’m going to now start posting season stats and will also be narrowing down who is included to only the absolute best players of the week since there will be more information provided.

See some useful approximate stabilization rates for hitters:

  • Strikeout rate: 50-60 PAs (this week)
  • Walk rate: 120 PAs (around mid-May)
  • Contact rate: 100 PAs (early May)
  • EVs: 40 BIP (next week, roughly)
  • GB / FB rate: 80 BIP (early May)
  • ISO: 160 ABs (Late May)
  • Slugging: 310-320 Abs (Early July)
  • OBP: 460 PAs (Late July / Early August)
  • BABIP / BA: 900-ish PAs (roughly 1.5 seasons)

Here are some approximate stabilization rates for pitchers:

  • Strikeout rate: 15-20 innings (this week for SP)
  • Walk rate: 40 innings (Mid-May for SP, 1/2 season for RP)
  • EVs: 60-65 innings (June for SP, full season for RP)
  • Stuff+: about 80 pitches (already stabilized, even for many RP at this point)

MLB Hitters

  1. 2B Luke Keaschall (Twins)

2024 A+/AA: .303/.420/.483 | 13.4 BB% / 17.2 K% | 37 XBH, 15 HR, 23 SB (102 games)

2025 AAA: .261/.379/.348 | 15.5 BB% / 19 K% | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 4 SB

2025 MLB: .368/.538/.526 | 19.2 BB% / 7.7 K% | 3 XBH, 0 HR, 5 SB

This Week: 4/17 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 4 SB

ETA: Debuted

fScores: 96 fContact, 110 fDiscipline, 86 fPower, 137 fSpeed

Age: 22

Comp: Jordan Westburg / Matt McLain mash up

Prime Skills: Great bat speed with killer EVs.. the HR power should be greater and will increase as he ages. He was having a strong season with consistent week in and week out production. While the swing reminds me of Westburg, I think there’s also a bit of a Matt McLain profile, but with a more consistent hit tool thanks to the plate skills.

Player Notes: News hit that Keaschall just suffered from a broken arm after getting hit by a pitch after a torrid start to his career – it’s tough and he’s probably out for the next 6-8 weeks.

  1. C/1B Agustin Ramirez (Marlins)

2024 AA/AAA: .267/.358/.487 | 11.1 BB%, 18.6 K% | 53 XBH, 25 HR, 22 SB

2025 AAA: .254/.313/.479 | 8.8 BB% / 23.8 K% | 10 XBH, 3 HR, 5 SB

2025 MLB: .700/.750/1.400 | 16.7 BB% / 0 K% | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB

This Week: 7/10 | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB

Age: 22

ETA: Debuted

fScores: 91 fContact, 103 fDiscipline, 93 fPower, 130 fSpeed

Comp: Gary Sanchez with speed

Prime Skills: Big time power swing with some sneaky speed, but a questionable hit tool. He’s posted EVs up to 111 in Miami with increased average velos in the low 90s. He hit a bump in AAA with the Yankees, but figured it out in his last 20 AAA games with a .286/.383/.486 slash with 3 bombs and 2 steals.

Player Notes:

  1. SS Jacob Wilson (Athletics)

2024 AA/AAA: .433/.473/.668 | 6.2 BB%, 6.6 K% | 35 XBH, 7 HR, 2 SB (53 games)

2024 MLB: .250/.314/.315 | 7.8 BB%, 9.7 K% | 4 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB (28 games)

2025 MLB: .347/.354/.500 | 1 BB% / 5.1 K% | 9 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB

This Week: 7/19 | 1 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Age: 23

ETA: Debuted

fScores: 106 fContact, 114 fDiscipline, 60 fPower, 77 fSpeed

Comp: More athletic Luis Arraez

Prime Skills: Wilson was a first rounder last year and has gotten the bump to AAA after decimating AA pitchers. He’s been a doubles machine, it almost looks like he’s been at batting practice since the draft because he’s been generating so many hits. I thought the pick was a reach when the Athletics drafted him, but he’s moving quickly and is hitting at every level.

Player Notes:

MLB Pitchers:

  1. SP Logan Henderson (Brewers)

2024 CPX/A+/AA/AAA: 81 1/3 IP | 28.1 K-BB%, 15 SwStr%, 31.6 CSW% | 3.32 ERA, 0.91 WHIP

2025 AAA: 14 IP | 23.7 K-BB%, 30.5 CSW% | 3.21 ERA, 1.26 WHIP

This Week (MLB): 6 IP | 9 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 0.67 WHIP

Age: 23

ETA: Debuted

fScores: 105 fStuff, 106 fControl, 110 fERA

Comp: Spencer Strider-light (dude has some quads) and really ramps up

Prime Skills: Henderson is of slight build (5′ 11″) and has jumped up a couple levels already this season after destroying at low A most of last season. He has excellent command and a nice fastball / changeup combo. The fastball runs 94-96 MPH and the change up is one of the better change ups in the minors.

Player Notes:

AAA Hitters:

  1. OF Roman Anthony (Red Sox)

2024 AA/AAA: .291/.396/.498 | 14.6 BB%, 23.5 K% | 54 XBH, 18 HR, 21 SB

2025 AAA: .313/.451/.588 | 20.6 BB% / 20.6 K% | 11 XBH, 5 HR, 2 SB

This Week: 7/18 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Age: 21

ETA: Mid 2025

fScores: 98 fContact, 129 fDiscipline, 97 fPower, 117 fSpeed

Comp: Jarred Kelenic with a better eye

Prime Skills: Very good eye with a strong power tool for a young kid who still needs to fill out. He could be a five tool guy, but needs to be more consistent on the base paths for steals to be a big part of his game long term. The Max and 90th percentile EVs actually rate out a little better than Dominguez (112.5 and 108.4 respectively), but he is not nearly aggressive in the zone and might have a little bit of a Lars Nootbaar streak to him.

Player Notes:

  1. SS Jordan Lawlar (Diamondbacks)

2024 AA/AAA: .318/.417/.485 | 9 XBH, 2 HR, 6 SB (23 games)

2025 AAA: .354/.453/.646 | 13.6 BB% / 23.7 K% | 17 XBH, 5 HR, 11 SB

This Week: 11/21 (6 BBs) | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 4 SB

Age: 22

ETA: Opening Day (debuted in 2024)

fScores: 100 fContact, 104 fDiscipline, 93 fPower, 168 fSpeed

Comp: Trea Turner light w/ some Jeter in there

Prime Skills: Lawlar has a nice power swing, but it may affect his contact ability in the majors – he has all fields power and ridiculous speed, he’s a very aggressive base runner and puts himself in good positions to make things happen on top of having way above average plate discipline for his age.

Player Notes:

  1. SS Marcelo Mayer (Red Sox)

2024 AA: .307/.370/.480 | 9 BB%, 19.7 K% | 36 XBH, 8 HR, 13 SB (77 games)

2025 AAA: .267/.312/.500 | 6.5 BB% / 19.4 K% | 8 XBH, 6 HR, 1 SB

This Week: 8/21 | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

Age: 22

ETA: Late 2025

fScores: 99 fContact, 86 fDiscipline, 86 fPower, 116 fSpeed

Comp: Lefty Dansby Swanson with more doubles power / less HR power

Prime Skills: Fast hands and a good eye lead to an advanced batting average profile, but how much power will he hit for in his prime? He’s had some bad injury luck that’s affected his statline two seasons in a row now.

Player Notes:

  1. C Dalton Rushing (Dodgers)

2024 AA/AAA: .271/.384/.512 | 12.7 BB%, 20.5 K% | 48 XBH, 26 HR, 2 SB

2025 AAA: .292/.385/.477 | 11.5 BB% / 29.5 K% | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

This Week: 6/19 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

Age: 24

ETA: Mid 2025

fScores: 93 fContact, 121 fDiscipline, 107 fPower, 66 fSpeed

Comp: Daulton Varsho without the baserunning ability

Prime Skills: Stout kid with a quick swing and nice lefty pull power with great plate discipline and an average hit tool. The lack of speed definitely dings his max potential a bit for fantasy purposes, but he has the skills to be a regular starter if the Dodgers can clear the room for him.

Player Notes:

  1. OF Dylan Beavers (Orioles)

2024 AA/AAA: .242/.342/.408 | 12.8 BB%, 23.5 K% | 40 XBH, 15 HR, 31 SB

2025 AAA: .263/.384/.413 | 16.2 BB% / 27.3 K% | 6 XBH, 3 HR, 8 SB

This Week: 6/22 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB

Age: 23

ETA: Late 2025

fScores: 87 fContact, 105 fDiscipline, 86 fPower, 176 fSpeed

Comp: Kyle Tucker light w/ a worse hit tool… maybe like a Tommy Pham profile

Prime Skills: Big lefty outfielder who killed it in the doubles department last year and is not transitioning some of that into homerun power. There’s a potential 25/25 player here if he can hit enough to make it work.

Player Notes:

  1. 1B Tyler Locklear (Mariners)

2024 AA/AAA: .272/.382/.468 | 12.3 BB%, 24.7 K% | 47 XBH, 16 HR, 9 SB

2024 MLB: .156/.224/.311 | 6.1 BB%, 40.8 K% | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB (16 games)

2025 AAA: .344/.422/.533 | 10.8 BB% / 23.5 K% | 13 XBH, 2 HR, 5 SB

This Week: 11/27 | 7 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB

Age: 24

ETA: Opening Day (debuted in 2024)

fScores: 93 fContact, 81 fDiscipline, 96 fPower, 114 fSpeed

Comp: Mitch Haniger-ish profile with a righty Beltran stance

Prime Skills: Hit tool, check. Power tool, check (near 92 MPH average EV at AAA). Slight speed with improving plate skills, I’m in! I think he could pace out for a 25 homer 10 steal guy in the future if he has regular run and could put up a Nate Lowe type profile in his peak.

Player Notes:

OF Jakob Marsee (Marlins):

2025 AAA: .229/.387/.422 | 15.6 BB% / 18.3 K% | 8 XBH, 3 HR, 18 SB

This Week: 5/22 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 4 SB

Notes: Marsee is getting smoked in BABIP again with a .262 BABIP, but when he gets on base he makes it count. He’s basically Dylan Moore in the OF.

3B A.J. Vukovich (Diamondbacks):

2025 AAA: .317/.353/.603 | 5.9 BB% / 23.5 K% | 8 XBH, 5 HR, 0 SB

This Week: 10/25 | 4 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Vukovich has been one of those guys that has hovered between the 200-300 top prospects for me on a regular basis – nice week.

AAA Pitchers:

  1. SP Bubba Chandler (Pirates)

2024 AA/AAA: 119 2/3 IP | 22.3 K-BB%, 13.6 SwStr%, 29.5 CSW% | 3.08 ERA, 1.02 WHIP

2025 AAA: 20 1/3 IP | 28.4 K-BB%, 32.6 CSW% | 1.33 ERA, 0.64 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP (1 H) | 4 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.20 WHIP

Age: 22

ETA: Early/Mid 2025

fScores: 106 fStuff, 95 fControl, 109 fERA

Comp: Luis Gil with a Zach Wheeler slider

Prime Skills: Big fastball and slider guy, known as a dual sport athlete who is not finally focusing on baseball rather than football. A lot of upside here as he has never been focused only on baseball until a couple years ago; he had committed to Clemson to play QB. He throws 97-99 MPH with a 12/6 killer vertical slider and a sick change up with nice fade that tunnels well and against his other two pitches.

Player Notes: Chandler only had a 10 SwStr% this week, but he was efficient at generating groundballs at a 67% rate.

  1. SP Jacob Misiorowski (Brewers)

2024 AA: 97 1/3 IP | 16.1 K-BB%, 14.1 SwStr%, 30.7 CSW% | 3.33 ERA, 1.20 WHIP

2025 AAA: 24 2/3 IP | 16.7 K-BB%, 30.1 CSW% | 2.19 ERA, 0.33 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP (1 H) | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.17 WHIP

Age: 23

Comp: Young Tyler Glasnow with worse control

ETA: Early 2025

fScores: 108 fStuff, 88 fControl, 135 fERA (as a starter)

Prime Skills: Killer fastball, he throws it 101 and it’s at an odd arm angle, so it’s difficult to pick up with an elite slider in his pocket as well. He’s had some control issues, especially as a starter, but once he shifted to the pen in AAA – he became a beast.

Player Notes: Imagine this, the games where Misiorowski throws over 50% strikes are the games he performs well in with 14.5+ SwStr% like this week.

  1. SP Ian Seymour (Rays)

2024 AA/AAA: 145 1/3 IP | 21 K-BB%, 15.2 SwStr%, 29 CSW% | 2.35 ERA, 0.95 WHIP

2025 AAA: 25 1/3 IP | 26.7 K-BB%, 30.6 CSW% | 2.49 ERA, 1.18 WHIP

This Week: 5 1/3 IP | 9 Ks, 3 BBs | 1.69 ERA, 1.31 WHIP

Age: 26

ETA: Early/Mid 2025

fScores: 101 fStuff, 97 fControl, 125 ERA

Comp: Nestor Cortes

Prime Skills: Seymour has a low 90s fastball with good ride, a four pitch mix and a really nice change up. Command, lack of high velocity and injuries have held him back to date, but at this point the Rays should have him on the short list for a call up. He had reached AAA in 2021 before needing Tommy John and since has been performing very well, but has yet to reach the majors.

Player Notes: Seymour got barreled up a little in this game, but he also had a 21.1 SwStr% this week.

SP Mick Abel (Phillies)

2025 Season: 28 1/3 IP | 16.1 K-BB%, 26.9 CSW% | 3.18 ERA, 1.31 WHIP

This Week: 7 IP | 4 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.29 ERA, 0.86 WHIP

Notes: Abel is still only 23-years-old, one can hope this is the year he finally figures it out. Love to see that he went deep this week despite less strike outs.

SP Carlos F. Rodriguez (Brewers)

2025 Season: 24 2/3 IP | 24.8 K-BB%, 29.4 CSW% | 1.09 ERA, 1.01 WHIP

This Week: 5 1/3 IP | 8 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.56 WHIP

Notes: We have seen Rodriguez in the majors and I think he’s a viable back end starter, but not really one for fantasy. His swinging strike rate has ticked up each game this season with a 28.2% SwStr in his outing this week.

SP Blade Tidwell (Mets)

2025 Season: 22 1/3 IP | 18.7 K-BB%, 31.5 CSW% | 4.43 ERA, 1.30 WHIP

This Week: 4 1/3 IP | 9 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.69 WHIP

Notes: Tidwell has had walk problems since reaching AAA and his last outing was the first with an over 50% strike rate that led to a 20.3 SwStr%.

SP Jake Bloss (Blue Jays)

2025 Season: 16 IP | 6.3 K-BB%, 27 CSW% | 7.31 ERA, 2.13 WHIP

This Week: 4 2/3 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.29 WHIP

Notes: Bloss has been pretty terrible to start the season, but finally had a good start this week as probably the next guy up in the Blue Jays rotation.

AA Hitters:

  1. SS Sebastian Walcott (Rangers)

2024 A+/AA: .265/.344/.452 | 10.3 BB%, 25.6 K% | 54 XBH, 11 HR, 27 SB

2025 AA: .282/.409/.451 | 15.9 BB% / 25 K% | 8 XBH, 2 HR, 5 SB

This Week: 7/21 (6 BBs) | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 4 SB

Age: 19

ETA: Late 2026

fScores: N/A

Comp: Fernando Tatis Jr. – light, similar build and swing

Prime Skills: Super raw, a huge 18-year-old kid with power for days. He needs to further develop the hit tool and plate skills, but the tools are there and he debuted at high A as a 17-year-old. We are just now really seeing him come into his own as the second half of the season for him was phenomenal with a .293/.350/.496 slash with 32 XBH and 19 SB coming in his last 58 games.

  1. OF Cole Carrigg (Rockies)

2024 CPX/A+: .283/.359/.491 | 9.7 BB%, 18.9 K% | 47 XBH, 17 HR, 53 SB

2025 AA: .250/.333/.500 | 8.3 BB% / 31.9 K% | 8 XBH, 3 HR, 6 SB

This Week: 5/19 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

Age: 23

ETA: Mid 2026

fScores: N/A

Comp: Jarren Duran as a switch hitter

Prime Skills: Ridiculous power / speed skill set with some insane numbers, but he was older for the levels he played at in 2024 and there are rumors of some maturity issues with him. Statistically he rates pretty above average across the board with superior speed, but the Rockies have a lot of these toolsy OFs and haven’t really been able to develop any of them. The dude is versatile though as a former catcher and has been clocked throwing 102 MPH.

Player Notes: Carrigg needs to reduce the Ks to optimize his profile.

  1. SS Cooper Pratt (Brewers)

2024 A/A+: .277/.362/.406 | 10.3 BB%, 20 K% | 26 XBH, 8 HR, 27 SB (96 games)

2025 AA: .266/.337/.430 | 6.7 BB% / 10.1 K% | 7 XBH, 3 HR, 5 SB

This Week: 6/20 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB

Age: 20

ETA: 2027

fScores: N/A

Comp: Giant Ha-Seong Kim

Prime Skills: Pratt is a huge athletic SS that is far away as a high school guy, but has five-tool potential, especially due to his size. He hit for more power in high A, which was my biggest concern even despite the size and I would ignore some of the batting average worries at the level as he was running a low BABIP in the 23 game sample size there.

Player Notes: It’s nice to see Pratt’s power production come along this year.

  1. OF Colton Ledbetter (Rays)

2024 A+: .273/.339/.484 | 8.1 BB% / 28.3 K%| 45 XBH, 16 HR, 34 SB

2025 AA: .258/.333/.403 | 11.3 BB% / 40.3 K% | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 9 SB

This Week: 7/20 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 3 SB

Age: 23

ETA: Mid 2026

fScores: N/A (need AAA statcast data)

Comp: Garrett Mitchell

Prime Skills: Ledbetter was the Rays second round pick in 2023 and has had a good year all around. He should both be in AA right now. He’s a great athlete known for good defense and while there has been a bit too much swing and miss, the ability to do damage is there. There are great tools in this package with some contact and plate skills questions.

Player Notes: Ledbetter is striking out a ton this year, but is an electric player when he’s making contact.

  1. 2B Termarr Johnson (Pirates)

2024 A+/AA: .237/.366/.386 | 15.6 BB%, 21.3 K% | 39 XBH, 15 HR, 22 SB

2025 AA: .257/.358/.414 | 13.6 BB% / 22.2 K% | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 5 SB

This Week: 8/26 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

Age: 21

ETA: Early 2026

fScores: N/A

Comp: Short Jason Kipnis, might have some Dozier-esk or Brandon Phillips-esk seasons

Prime Skills: Amazing plate skills for his age, but he’s super raw right now despite the plate discipline. Contact, power and speed have a lot of room to grow to figure out how good he can really end up.

Player Notes: Johnson is showing an increased contact rate this season and I think is an underrated prospect due to prospect fatigue.

2B Cooper Kinney (Rays):

2025 AA: .353/.405/.676 | 8.1 BB% / 23 K% | 11 XBH, 5 HR, 0 SB

This Week: 11/26 | 6 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Kinney was the 34th overall pick in 2021 and has dealt with injuries throughout his minor league career, his aggressive in-zone approach has lead to increased success this year.

SS Francisco Acuna (Padres):

2025 AA: .292/.346/.542 | 5.1 BB% / 27.8 K% | 8 XBH, 5 HR, 4 SB

This Week: 9/19 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 5 SB

Notes: Acuna came over from the Pirates and it’s his first year in the Padres organization; I don’t really see anything underlying here to look forward to from this 25-year-old, but he did have a killer week and I want to highlight it.

AA Pitchers:

  1. SP Hagen Smith (White Sox)

2024 College: 84 IP | 161 Ks, 34 BBs | 2.04 ERA, 0.89 WHIP

2024 A+: 7 2/3 IP | 15.2 K-BB%, 12.7 SwStr%, 28 CSW% | 3.52 ERA, 1.17 WHIP

2025 AA: 13 2/3 IP | 26.3 K-BB%, 31.2 CSW% | 2.63 ERA, 1.17 WHIP

This Week: 4 IP (1 H) | 8 Ks, 4 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.25 WHIP

Age: 21

ETA: Late 2025 (cup of coffee)

fScores: 105 fStuff, 97 fControl, 126 fERA

Comp: Yusei Kikuchi w/ some Chris Sale-esk arm action on the slider

Prime Skills: Big strong lefty with a quick 3/4 -esk arm action that almost just snaps his fastball and slider straight in there at high 90s velocity. He’s working on a changeup / splitter pitch as well to throw against his primarily fastball and slider combo.

Player Notes: Smith is having success with Ks, but is also walking a ton of dudes at the same time.

  1. SP K.C. Hunt (Brewers)

Season A/A+/AA: 102 IP | 28.4 K-BB%, 17.3 SwStr%, 33.4 CSW% | 2.03 ERA, 0.93 WHIP

2025 AA: 16 2/3 IP | 14.5 K-BB%, 26.4 CSW% | 5.40 ERA, 1.14 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 5 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 0.67 WHIP

Age: 24

ETA: Late 2025

fScores: 96 fStuff, 101 fControl, 148 fERA

Comp: Corbin Burnes light

Prime Skills: He’s a 12th rounder from Mississippi state on that George Klassen, Zebby Matthews, Quinn Mathews ride. He lives 93-94 with a five pitch mix and Baseball Performance Center gave him a Trevor Bauer comp. He has an 86 MPH hard slider against a ridiculous 80 mph 12/6 hook that is simply disgusting.

Player Notes: Hunt got off to a rough start to the season, but this start will hopefully be a kick start to continuing the 2024 dominance.

  1. SP George Klassen (Angels)

fScores: 102 fStuff, 87 fControl, 107 fERA

Comp: Luis Gil

Prime Skills: Klassen is a major pop-up prospect as a 2023 6th rounder who has increased velo with a 98-99 MPH rising fastball, 91 MPH sweeper and 87 MPH vertical hard slider.

Player Notes: Klassen is coming off back-to-back killer starts and times on this list, he’s throwing smoke right now and hopefully he keeps the walks down.

  1. SP Hunter Barco (Pirates)

2024 A+/AA: 66 IP | 22.9 K-BB%, 14.1 SwStr%, 30.1 CSW% | 3.27 ERA, 1.06 WHIP

2025 AA: 17 2/3 IP | 27.7 K-BB%, 35.3 CSW% | 0.00 ERA, 0.68 WHIP

This Week: 4 2/3 IP | 8 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.86 WHIP

Age: 23

ETA: Mid 2025

fScores: 103 fStuff, 98 fControl, 97 fERA

Comp: Chris Sale light / Brandon Williamson mash

Prime Skills: Barco is a big lefty with an almost side arm delivery playing up a killer slider with excellent command. It looks like he put on some size since his pre-draft days at FL, which might help in building up the innings and trying to add velo to the fastball.

Player Notes: I’ve been one of the highest guys in the industry on Barco throughout his injuries and the solid start to the season is why.

  1. SP Robby Snelling (Marlins)

2024 AA/AAA: 115 1/3 IP | 13.8 K-BB%, 12.2 SwStr% | 5.15 ERA, 1.52 WHIP

2025 AA: 22 1/3 IP | 30.6 K-BB%, 34 CSW% | 1.61 ERA, 0.90 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.67 WHIP

Age: 21

ETA: Early 2025

fScores: 93 fStuff, 96 fControl, fERA 104

Comp: Jesus Luzardo-light

Prime Skills: The 3/4 arm-slot helps create a lot of deception between his fastball and slider, which also gets classified as a curveball – so we will call it a slurve. He’s a three pitch guy with an above average fastball, a good changeup and a stellar breaking pitch with a knack for avoiding hard contact.

Player Notes: The uptick in swinging strike stuff from Snelling this year is so exciting, Snelling is a top 100 prospect again for me in the next update, he’s back!

  1. SP Jonah Tong (Mets)

2024 A/A+/AA: 113 IP | 24.1 K-BB%, 14.9 SwStr%, 31.1 CSW | 3.03 ERA, 1.17 WHIP

2025 AA: 13 1/3 IP | 16.7 K-BB%, 34.9 CSW% | 4.73 ERA, 1.58 WHIP

This Week: 4 1/3 IP | 9 Ks, 3 BBs | 2.08 ERA, 1.38 WHIP

Age: 22

ETA: Mid 2026

fScore: 99 fStuff, 81 fControl, 111 fERA

Comp: Jared Jones light

Prime Skills: Killer IVB on a mid 90s fastball (hitting 95-96 MPH now) and a big curve that drops right in on hitters. He had some big time velo increase this year and we are seeing a decrease in command as he has moved up levels.

Player Notes: The command from Tong has been completely gone so far this season until this week, hopefully it’s a step forward, but I will throw it out there that I warned you all in pre-season this could happen.

SP Jack Wenninger (Mets)

2025 Season: 20 IP | 35.5 K-BB%, 37 CSW% | 0.90 ERA, 0.80 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 10 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP

Notes: The Wenninger splitter is a monster, this guy is quickly becoming one of the best starters in the minors due to the splitter and is on the fast track to be a Top 100 guy in my next rankings update.

SP Cam Schlittler (Yankees)

2025 Season: 22 IP | 23.2 K-BB%, 32.7 CSW% | 1.23 ERA, 0.82 WHIP

This Week: 7 IP | 9 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.23 ERA, 0.43 WHIP

Notes: The former 7th rounder for the Yankees has found some command this year, which is helping him play up a bit from previous seasons. Keep an eye on him.

SP Kohl Drake (Rangers)

2025 Season: 12 1/3 IP | 26 K-BB%, 37.3 CSW% | 2.92 ERA, 0.97 WHIP

This Week: 4 1/3 IP | 10 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.69 WHIP

Notes: My biggest knock on Kohl Drake the last two years has been age-to-level, I like him but he’s almost 25-years-old and I’d like to see him moved quickly this year.

SP Mitch Bratt (Rangers)

2025 Season: 20 2/3 IP | 23 K-BB%, 34.2 CSW% | 2.61 ERA, 1.11 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 2 BBs | 3.00 ERA, 0.83 WHIP

Notes: Another Ranger, they are becoming a pitching factory in the minors at this point. Bratt has a below average fastball and is a high command lefty that relies on the slider / cutter combo to generate swings and misses.

A+ Hitters:

  1. SS Leo De Vries (Padres)

2024 A: .237/.361/.441 | 13.9 BB%, 23.3 K% | 36 XBH, 11 HR, 13 SB (75 games)

2025 A+: .274/.333/.565 | 8.7 BB% / 21.7 K% | 9 XBH, 3 HR, 2 SB

This Week: 9/19 | 6 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB

Age: 18

ETA: 2027

fScores: N/A

Comp: Switch hitting Alfonso Soriano at SS

Prime Skills: De Vries has super high upside across the board and is a five-tool talent, but at 17-years-old is way above his age-to-level. De Vries is absolutely electric and has a long swing despite quick hands, giving me that Soriano feeling. He had a 116 wRC+ as a 17-year-old, which translating age-to-level might place him closer around 160-170 or so.

Player Notes: Leo hit for the cycle with 2 homers in the same game on 4/22, so that will play.

  1. SS / 3B Seaver King (Nationals)

2024 College: .308/.377/.577 | 33 XBH, 16 HR, 11 SB

2024 A: .295/.367/.385 | 10 BB%, 14.4 K% | 4 XBH, 0 HR, 10 SB

2025 A+: .237/.318/.305 | 9.1 BB% / 33.3 K% | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 6 SB

This Week: 7/13 | 1 XBH, 1 HR, 3 SB

Age: 22

ETA: Mid 2026

fScores: N/A

Comp: Trea Turner light

Prime Skills: King has a good hit tool and electric speed, King has a wide open stance that generates more power from his smaller frame than you would expect that will likely translate more for doubles than homers in the majors. He is aggressive in the zone and should run high averages.

Player Notes: King is over to a slow start this year, but had a nice week that will hopefully get him going.

  1. OF Ryan Waldschmidt (Diamondbacks)

2024 College: .333/.469/.610 | 31 XBH, 14 HR, 25 SB

2024 A: .273/.485/.318 | 22.7 BB%, 13.6 K% | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 4 SB

2025 A+: .333/.494/.587 | 20 BB% / 21.2 K% | 7 XBH, 4 HR, 1 SB

This Week: 5/17 (7 BBs) | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Age: 22

ETA: Mid 2026

fScores: N/A

Comp: Righty Lars Nootbaar

Prime Skills: Big OF who can play in CF and has great plate skills with an above average hit tool to pair with a solid power and speed combo. He hits the crap out of the ball and had some of the highest exit velocities in the 2024 draft.

Player Notes:

OF Eli Serrano (Mets):

Season: .250/.400/.467 | 20 BB%, 21.3 K% | 7 XBH, 3 HR, 3 SB

This Week: 6/20 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Serrano is having a strong season, but has been a tad streaky with two good week and two bad weeks.

OF Dylan Dreiling (Rangers):

Season: .295/.405/.459 | 16.2 BB%, 21.6 K% | 6 XBH, 2 HR, 4 SB

This Week: 8/16 (3 BBs) | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB

Notes: Dreiling was the Rangers second rounder last year and has shown great plate skills since being drafted with more power and better luck thus far in 2025.

2B/SS Demetrio Crisantes (Diamondbacks):

Season: .265/.372/.412 | 16.3 BB%, 10.5 K% | 6 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB

This Week: 10/22 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB

Notes: Crisantes is a high contact hitter with some speed who broke out last season and has enough of a frame that we could see some power growth this year.

A+ Pitchers:

  1. SP Thomas White (Marlins)

2024 A/A+: 96 IP | 20 K-BB%, 14.6 SwStr%, 30.5 CSW% | 2.81 ERA, 1.31 WHIP

2025 A+: 13 1/3 IP | 15.7 K-BB%, 31.6 CSW% | 3.31 ERA, 1.22 WHIP

This Week: 5 1/3 IP (1 H) | 7 Ks, 3 BBs | 1.69 ERA, 0.75 WHIP

Age: 20

ETA: Mid 2026

fScore: N/A

Comp: Carlos Rodon / Andrew Heaney mash up

Prime Skills: White is a big 6′ 5″ lefty who I saw live pitching against Quinn Mathews pitch for pitcher earlier in the season. He throws a 95-97 MPH riding fastball with a killer 85-87 MPH changeup and 78-82 MPH slurve. He needs to work on building up innings in 2025.

Player Notes: White has been pretty much unhittable this year and is striking dudes out, but has had command issues slowing him down.

SP T.J. Nichols (Rays)

2025 Season: 14 2/3 IP | 36.1 K-BB%, 37.4 CSW% | 3.07 ERA, 1.09 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.60 WHIP

Notes: Nichols has been dealing so far this season with a big 6′ 5″ frame, the dude has had two consecutive strong starts against Hub City.

SP Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz (Yankees)

2025 Season: 22 1/3 IP | 26.7 K-BB%, 38.1 CSW% | 2.42 ERA, 0.72 WHIP

This Week: 6 1/3 IP (1 H) | 12 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.32 WHIP

Notes: The Yankees traded for ERC in an odd Red Sox / Yankees trade and he has not disappointed this season.

SP David Davilillo (Rangers)

2025 Season: 16 1/3 IP | 32.3 K-BB%, 33 CSW% | 1.10 ERA, 0.80 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 1.40 WHIP

Notes: Davilillo had the lowest ERA in baseball in 2024 for qualified starters and we are having another strong season this year.

SP Santiago Suarez (Rays)

2025 Season: 18 1/3 IP | 25 K-BB%, 31.6 CSW% | 2.45 ERA, 1.04 WHIP

This Week: 46 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 0.83 WHIP

Notes: Suarez was floating within my top 150 range last season and may be back in there again after this nice start to the season at high A.

SP Gage Jump (Athletics)

2025 Season: 18 IP | 32.5 K-BB%, 33.9 CSW% | 3.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP

This Week: 6 2/3 IP | 13 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.45 WHIP

Notes: Jump is a college lefty drafted in the second round in 2024 with a high 90s fastball form the left side with nice ride. He could be a quick riser as the Athletics aren’t super deep at the higher levels with pitching.

A Hitters:

  1. SS Felnin Celesten (Mariners)

2024 Cpx: .352/.431/.568 | 12.5 BB%, 19.4 K% | 17 XBH, 3 HR, 5 SB

2025 A: .349/.431/.476 | 12.5 BB% / 15.3 K% | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 4 SB

This Week: 6/19 (5 BBs) | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Age: 19

ETA: 2027

fScores: N/A

Comp: Switch hitting Gunnar Henderson with a little Juan Soto in the mechanics

Prime Skills: Celesten is a good sized switch hitting, athletic shortstop who was seen coming into complex as one of the top players and has only performed even higher than expected. I’m especially impressed with the plate skills of such a raw talent.

Player Notes: Felnin has continued to show an above average plate approach with contact skills.

  1. SS Bryce Rainer (Tigers)

2025 A: .333/.494/.587 | 18.9 BB% / 10.8 K% | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB

This Week: 5/17 (5 BBs) | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB

Age: 19

ETA: 2028

fScores: N/A

Comp: Lefty Carson Williams

Prime Skills: Big lefty bat with a nice stroke that should lead to an above average hit tool, he could grow into some nice power and has a little bit of speed. He was also a pitcher and has a killer arm, so should be a prime defender as well.

Player Notes: A nice week from Rainer here after a rough start to the season.

SS Luis Pena (Brewers):

Season: .333/.409/.491 | 10.6 BB%, 7.6 K% | 7 XBH, 1 HR, 12 SB

This Week: 6/18 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB

Notes: Pena is one of the biggest risers so far in the short minor league season showing a fantastic plate approach and speed.

SS Caleb Bonemer (White Sox):

Season: .317/.449/.533 | 14.1 BB%, 17.9 K% | 9 XBH, 1 HR, 7 SB

This Week: 5/15 (4 BB) | 3 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB

Notes: This is Bonemer’s second consecutive week on the list as he shows us why he got paid the big bucks in the second round.

OF Yordalin Pena (Cardinals):

Season: .270/.329/.460 | 7.1 BB%, 22.9 K% | 8 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB

This Week: 9/26 | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB

Notes: I’ve seen Pena a decent amount and I get Adolis Garcia vibes… remember he was once a Cardinal.

OF Mike Sirota (Dodgers):

Season: .385/.467/.692 | 11.7 BB%, 21.7% | 11 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB

This Week: 9/20 (5 BB) | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

Notes: He’s way too old for the level, but he’s smashing right now regardless.

A Pitchers:

  1. SP Trey Yesavage (Blue Jays)

2024 College: 93 1/3 IP | 145 Ks, 32 BBs | 2.03 ERA, 0.87 WHIP

2025 Season: 17 1/3 IP | 29.4 K-BB%, 38.3 CSW% | 3.12 ERA, 0.98 WHIP

This Week: 4 2/3 IP | 10 Ks, 2 BBs | 3.86 ERA, 0.64 WHIP

Age: 21

ETA: Late 2025

fScores: N/A

Comp: Righty Kershaw light

Prime Skills: Big righty with a super over-the-top trebuchet like delivery that throws a solid fastball (93-95 MPH), slider and changeup combo.

Player Notes: Yesavage has a 47% CSW on his change up this season, which is absolutely ridiculous. He needs to start mixing the breakers in more though as he’s been very fastball and change up heavy.

SP Dasan Hill (Twins)

Season: 10 2/3 IP | 40.5 K-BB%, 36.9 CSW% | 1.69 ERA, 0.84 WHIP

This Week: 4 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 2.25 ERA, 0.25 WHIP (1 hit)

Notes: Hill was a third rounder for the Twins and is pumping 97 MPH from the left side with some killer breakers, check out my X for some video. He had another big game this week, making my list for the second time this season.

SP Sean Linan (Dodgers)

Season: 20 2/3 IP | 48.6 K-BB%, 38.3 CSW% | 0.87 ERA, 0.58 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 11 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.60 WHIP

Notes: Linan showed good stuff last year for the Dodgers, but had issues of getting hit hard – looks like he fixed that through his first start of 2025. He has now had double digit Ks in 3 / 4 starts this season.

SP John Holobetz (Brewers)

2025 Season: 13 1/3 IP | 31 K-BB%, 35.7 CSW% | 3.38 ERA, 1.05 WHIP

This Week: 5 2/3 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.71 WHIP

Notes: Holobetz is a bit old for the level at 22-years-old, but he’s had two / three very nice starts to start the season with nice ride on a 95-96 mph fastball.

SP Christian Oppor (White Sox)

2025 Season: 13 1/3 IP | 38.5 K-BB%, 36.4 CSW% | 3.38 ERA, 0.90 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 0.60 WHIP

Notes: Oppor has a quick, flick-type release point from the left side with 94-97 mph velocity on the fastball with ride to combo with a plus slider.

SP Luke Sinnard (Braves)

2025 Season: 9 IP | 27.5 K-BB%, 32.6 CSW% | 1.00 ERA, 1.44 WHIP

This Week: 4 2/3 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.29 WHIP

Notes: 6′ 8″ and 250 lbs, this dude is a monster. He’s had two good starts on the season now and will be interesting to track moving forward with a mid 90s fastball and big slider.

SP Ty Floyd (Reds)

2025 Season: 13 IP | 33.3 K-BB%, 31.3 CSW% | 2.77 ERA, 0.69 WHIP

This Week: 4 IP | 7 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.25 WHIP

Notes: I had Floyd around my top 150 after the draft, but he didn’t debut last year. I was a big Ty Floyd guy and a week like this is why.
