Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team, Early Pick (2025)

Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team, Early Pick (2025)

It’s never too early to start the thinking process of how you are going to build your fantasy football teams or what players you want to target.

Below, I will walk you through my latest fantasy football mock draft using PPR scoring based on a standard Yahoo roster format (1-QB/2-RB/2-WR/1-Flex/1-Kicker/1-D/ST). I mock drafted from the 1.01 slot.

Let’s go through each of the picks from my latest fantasy football mock draft using the FantasyPros mock draft simulator.

1.01: Ja’Marr Chase (WR – CIN)

There wasn’t much hesitation with this pick as it’s safe to say Ja’Marr Chase is the obvious 1.01 choice in most drafts this year.

2.12: Josh Jacobs (RB – GB)

I wanted Bucky Irving here, but he was taken with the pick before, so Josh Jacobs is the backup plan. Ideally, I want to target a pass-catching running back here if possible, but I couldn’t pass up Jacobs or even Jonathan Taylor for a back like Breece Hall or Kyren Williams at this point.

3.01: Garrett Wilson (WR – NYJ)

Despite playing on a pitiful offense with an aging Aaron Rodgers, Garrett Wilson still put up great fantasy numbers, finishing sixth in receptions, 11th in receiving yards, while hauling in seven touchdowns.

In a PPR league, I want to target high-volume guys like Wilson.

4.12: Sam LaPorta (TE – DET)

Joe Burrow went right before my pick, and he was someone I was thinking about taking here or with my next pick. I think he went a bit early, but a Chase-Burrow stack would have been worth it.

Drafting Sam LaPorta gives us a top-five tight end who sees tons of volume and is ranked inside the top 10 among tight ends in receptions, yards and touchdowns.

5.01: Chuba Hubbard (RB – CAR)

I thought I had a solid pick until I remembered the Panthers signed Rico Dowdle in the offseason. Chuba Hubbard should still be the No. 1 RB, but Dowdle may be their third-down back, which will take away pass-catching opportunities from Hubbard.

Other running backs that were still on the board were Aaron Jones, David Montgomery and Omarion Hampton. I would be fine with any of them.

6.12: Jerry Jeudy (WR – CLE)

Jerry Jeudy caught fire in the second half of last season. With what I think is an upgraded quarterback room, we should see an increase in Jeudy’s numbers. He is the No. 1 WR in Cleveland with little competition.

7.01: Kyler Murray (QB – ARI)

This is the perfect time to land one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the league. Kyler Murray was the fantasy QB10 last year. He was the 10th quarterback off the board in this mock draft.

8.12: Deebo Samuel (WR – WSH)

I needed to stock up on pass-catchers. Leaving a Kyle Shanahan-led offense could have killed Deebo Samuel’s production, but landing in Washington with Kliff Kingsbury’s creativity is the next best thing.

9.01: Cooper Kupp (WR – SEA)

Back-to-back wide receiver picks here. Cooper Kupp should have a bounce-back season. We saw Justin Jefferson have an excellent year with Sam Darnold at quarterback, so Kupp should be a viable Flex option.

10.12: Isaac Guerendo (RB – SF)

Issac Guerendo is the clear-cut No. 2 RB heading into the season. With Christian McCaffrey‘s injury history, it’s always a good idea to draft his handcuff.

11.01: Bhayshul Tuten (RB – JAX)

We have no idea what is going to happen with Travis Etienne, but rumors are swirling that he could be traded.

Bhayshul Tuten is an explosive back who fits perfectly into Liam Coen’s system. If Etienne does indeed get traded, Tuten will only have Tank Bigsby to compete with.

12.12: Justin Fields (QB – NYJ)

Justin Fields gives us another dual-threat quarterback option and gives us a Fields-Wilson stack.

13.01: Denver Broncos D/ST

I usually wait until the last two rounds to draft a defense, but being the first team to draft one allows us to grab last year’s No. 1 defense.

14.12: Jaydon Blue (RB – DAL)

At this point in the draft, you are looking for players who have playing potential with high upside. Jaydon Blue fits that mold in Dallas. He will have to pass both Miles Sanders and Javonte Williams on the depth chart, but the former Longhorn has the dynamic skill set to do so.

15.01: Brandon Aubrey (K – DAL)

When taking a kicker, I look for someone on a high-powered offense with plenty of opportunities to score or someone who plays the majority of their games inside a dome. Brandon Aubrey fits both criteria.
