Fantasy Football Player Notes

2020 Half PPR Rest of Season Rankings

Melvin Gordon III Note
Melvin Gordon III photo 40. Melvin Gordon III RB - (vs . LV)
Gordon had two touchdowns against the Dolphins in Week 11, and re-established himself as, at a minimum, a viable fantasy asset. He'll continue to split time with Phillip Lindsay, but he should see enough volume to be borderline startable most weeks.

Noah Fant Note

Fant suffered a sprained ankle against the Jets in Week 4 and is expected to at least miss Week 5's game against the Patriots. He's week-to-week after that, and considering how well he played and the likely return of Drew Lock, fantasy managers should do their best to hold onto him, as he's likely a top-12 option when he returns.

Phillip Lindsay Note
Phillip Lindsay photo 95. Phillip Lindsay RB - (vs . LV)
With Melvin Gordon potentially facing a suspension after being charged with a DUI, Lindsay looks likely to inherit a large workload, similar to what he saw last year. Now past his bye with Drew Lock back, Lindsay could find himself in RB2 territory until Gordon returns, if he does this year.

Jerry Jeudy Note
Jerry Jeudy photo 97. Jerry Jeudy WR - (vs . LV)
You won't find a bigger Jeudy fan than me, but if you're looking ahead on his fantasy schedule, there are going to be tough times. After what was a tough matchup against the Saints, he'll play the Chiefs (4th-worst matchup for wide receivers), Panthers (9th-worst), Bills (7th-worst), and then Chargers (8th-worst).

KJ Hamler Note
KJ Hamler photo 140. KJ Hamler WR - (vs . LV)
Hamler suffered a hamstring injury in Week 4, and may need to miss some time. With Courtland Sutton's injury, the door is open for Hamler to produce, but he'll obviously need to prove himself healthy. With plenty of options at the position, fantasy managers can move on if they need to.

Royce Freeman Note
Royce Freeman photo 273. Royce Freeman RB - (vs . LV)
Freeman should see an expanded role now with Phillip Lindsay sidelined with turf toe. But he saw little action even after Lindsay left the game in Week 1, so don't expect him to go back to close to a 50-50 split like he saw last year. Other than extremely deep leagues, there's little reason to concern yourself with Freeman even with his likely increase in usage.
