2021 Half PPR Rest of Season Rankings

Javonte Williams Note

There's no guarantee the breakout happens. If Melvin Gordon stays healthy all year then the Broncos might be very content having their two RBs splitting time all season. They're both playing well, but the underlying numbers on Williams are just fantastic. He's a midseason lottery ticket who could win leagues if things break right for him down the stretch.

Jerry Jeudy Note

The 22-year-old wideout hasn't erupted since returning from his ankle injury, but the underlying numbers are extremely encouraging. Entering Week 10, Jeudy has been targeted on 25% of his pass routes this season. For comparison, Courtland Sutton has been targeted on 19.8% of his pass routes, and that number has fallen since Jeudy's return. The second-year wideout looks poised for a strong finish to the 2021 campaign. Go get him.

Melvin Gordon III Note

Gordon continues to see a slightly bigger workload than Javonte Williams, but for the most part this is a true 50-50 timeshare. Both RBs would benefit tremendously from an injury to the other one as they each play in all game situations.

Courtland Sutton Note

Sutton ran a route on 94% of Denver's dropbacks in Week 3 and was up to 98% in Week 4. This type of utilization suggests he's fully recovered from last year's ACL tear. Sutton would benefit from Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) being able to play in Week 5.

Noah Fant Note

Denver was finally trailing for most of the game in Week 4, which led to Fant putting up a 28% target share while catching six passes for 46 yards and a score. He remains an efficient player, but the Broncos simply don't like to throw the ball while leading. Moving forward, Fant should only be considered a strong start in games where we expect Denver to be playing catchup.

Tim Patrick Note
Tim Patrick photo 103. Tim Patrick WR - (vs . KC)
Patrick finished second in routes (81%) and tied for first in target share (22%) among Denver pass catchers in Week 3. KJ Hamler (ACL) is out for the season, which makes Patrick a low-end FLEX option until Jerry Jeudy (ankle) returns.
