If not, then there’s always the possibility that good times may be just around the corner, which may be what optimistic Giants fans are saying with Daniel Jones‘ epic debut performance. It was a bittersweet victory for the G-Men, however, as Saquon Barkley went down with what seems to be a high ankle sprain, rocking the fantasy football landscape as a result.

Q1. How much are you willing to spend (FAAB %) on your favorite waiver wire target (or two) and why do you like him?

Golden Tate (WR – NYG) | Will Dissly (TE – SEA)
“Tate is going to soak up a ton of targets in the Shurmur system, especially if Saquon Barkley is out for an extended period. He was a disaster in Philly last season, but during his first seven games last year with Detroit, Tate was on track for a 100-catch, nearly 1,200-yard season. Dissly has proven to be a go-to option for Russell Wilson when healthy, and his health is the only thing holding him back, from my perspective. If you are without your starting tight end this week, Dissly is the perfect streamer facing the Cardinals this week. They have given up 75+ yards and at least one touchdown to the starting tight end in each game this year.”

“It’s time to pick up Golden Tate if he’s available in your league, as he’s got just one more game left to serve on his four-game suspension. After watching Daniel Jones pick up where he left off in the preseason, he’s likely to give us some usable fantasy performances out of the receivers, especially Tate, who should take the slot role back from Sterling Shepard. Some may be sleeping on Tate until he returns in Week 5, so you shouldn’t have to spend more than 10 percent of your budget to get him.”

Wayne Gallman (RB – NYG) | Darrel Williams (RB – KC) 
“Gallman and Williams stand above the rest for me when evaluating Week 4 waiver wire options. Gallman is more likely to be looking at a featured role with Barkley set to miss extended time, but Williams is the higher upside option due to the differences in their respective offenses. I’d be willing to spend up to 50 percent of my FAAB if I’m the owner of a running back-needy team. If you’re just looking to add depth, I’d cap it at 35-40 percent, as neither running back is a sure thing.”

“I’d spend up to 10 percent of my FAAB to acquire Wayne Gallman this week. It likely won’t be enough to win the bid, but he also doesn’t have much upside. While Barkley is out, he has virtually no chance to be an RB1, but is still the top pickup because you can flex him for the next month without hesitation.”

Rex Burkhead (RB – NE)
“If you miss out on Wayne Gallman, Burkhead is a nice ‘Plan B’ on the waiver wire this week. He obviously benefitted from James White’s absence in Week 3, but note that Burkhead compiled 65 rushing yards, seven catches, and 88 receiving yards alongside White over the first two weeks. Burkhead has been the best all-purpose back in New England so far this season and should continue to play a significant role in one of the league’s best offenses.”

Q2. Where do you rank QB Daniel Jones rest of season and who are a few players you like him better than?

“Jones’ schedule is about to get tougher, and he just lost one of his best weapons in Saquon Barkley. His schedule during the fantasy playoffs is quite favorable, though, if you care to look ahead that far. He’s my QB17 going forward. His upside makes him easily worth owning over guys like Andy Dalton, Kirk Cousins, and Jimmy Garoppolo, while I’d give him the slightest of edges over the likes of Matthew Stafford, Cam Newton, and Jacoby Brissett.”

“The hype is crazy surrounding Jones, but I do think he has fantasy relevance. He’s not a traditional dual-threat quarterback, but we saw what he can do with his legs. I currently have him as the QB25 for the rest of the season given his perfect fit for the Shurmur system, while keeping in mind it was just one game against a bad defense. However, I do like him more than Sam Darnold, Marcus Mariota, and Joe Flacco for the rest of the season.”

“Jones is No. 16 for me, which is ahead of every other widely available quarterback plus receivers like Diontae Johnson and Deebo Samuel. It isn’t that I even have him in my top-15 rest of season quarterbacks, although he has the potential to soar into the top 12. Rather, I’m excited about his Week 4 matchup at home against Washington, which should make him a worthwhile streamer.”

“I have him ranked as the 24th quarterback rest of season, in front of guys like Marcus Mariota and Gardner Minshew. While it was an impressive Week 3 performance, it was just one week. The loss of Saquon Barkley is not going to help matters, either. Fortunately, he gets the Redskins in Week 4, one of the softest secondaries in the league.”
