It is time for the Week 3 fantasy football therapy and complaint desk. In this article, I am addressing concerns from the fantasy football community via the AMA channel (general-AMA) in our Discord. I want to know who ruined your week and which players you are generally concerned about after the third week.
This week, I attempted to answer a few more questions, so my responses are shorter. That feels like a good trade for those seeking advice. Speaking of trades, let’s get to this week’s mailbag.

Trade Questions
I’m 1-2, and not loving my roster. Should I trade Drake London and Trey Benson for Josh Jacobs and Tetairoa McMillan?
I like the question a lot because Trey Benson is about to fulfill the promise of why you drafted him. He should be the bell-cow back in Arizona now that James Conner is out for the season. I like Benson a lot and consider him a weekly starter going forward.
With that said, the upgrade from Benson to Josh Jacobs is larger than the upgrade from Tetairoa McMillan to Drake London. Therefore, I lean towards the Jacobs and McMillan side. Interestingly enough, both Atlanta and Green Bay have an early bye week in Week 5. As long as you can cover your running back spots without Benson or Jacobs in that week, I would make the trade.
Courtland Sutton and Tony Pollard for Derrick Henry? (10-team PPR)
In addition to Courtland Sutton and Tony Pollard, the person who submitted this question sent a screenshot of their roster. They have De’Von Achane, Josh Jacobs and Breece Hall at running back and Puka Nacua, Ladd McConkey, Tetairoa McMillan and DJ Moore at wide receiver, as well as a few other excellent players.
I would do this trade because Pollard is not cracking your top two running backs anytime soon, and may actually start losing some touches once Tyjae Spears returns. Sutton is similar in that respect. He can put up big games, but will you ever feel comfortable starting him over your top 3-4 wide receivers? Probably not. Derrick Henry is a set-it-and-forget-it starter, even in PPR. I would make this trade.
Should I trade Troy Franklin and Chris Godwin for Trey Benson (10-team PPR)
Without knowing anything else about this team’s roster construction, it is probably in a better position at wide receiver than running back. I do wonder what Chris Godwin‘s workload will look like when he returns. My guess before the Mike Evans injury was that Godwin would be eased into action, especially given the emergence of Emeka Egbuka.
Even Sterling Shepard has looked solid in stretches. Godwin’s involvement may be accelerated now that Evans is no longer involved. But I would still make this trade assuming you have more reliable weekly options than Godwin. Benson is most likely an RB2 in the future, so I would prefer to trade two players who can’t crack your starting lineup for one who will.
Thoughts? Trying to get rid of Tee Higgins ASAP in PPR. (Proposed trade is Tee Higgins, Juwan Johnson, J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey for Zay Flowers and Javonte Williams)
As someone who has Tee Higgins in multiple leagues, I get it. He is not going to reach his draft stock with Jake Browning under center. It’s unfortunate. I understand wanting to move on. However, you would be paying too much here.
Zay Flowers is an upgrade over Higgins at this stage, given their respective quarterback. But J.K. Dobbins has looked excellent so far. His rushing line is almost identical to the one that Javonte Williams has posted through three weeks. And I might be off base on this, but Juwan Johnson feels legit in a PPR league. He has 28 targets, which is second-most in the NFL among tight ends. Including Johnson and RJ Harvey feels like too high a price to pay for you. If you could remove Johnson from the trade, then I would consider it.
Trade Elic Ayomanor for Daniel Jones?
The decision on whether to make this trade depends on what other quarterbacks are on your roster. I still cannot believe that Daniel Jones is doing what he is doing. But this is the way it goes for quarterbacks sometimes. Under the right conditions, a player who previously looked like a bust becomes a reliable fantasy player. Just look at Sam Darnold last season.
Is Daniel Jones going to maintain his current QB4 overall ranking through the end of the season? No. Can he be a top-12 or top-15 fantasy quarterback? It’s hard to say no at this point, given what we have seen from him. As talented as Elic Ayomanor is, I cannot trust him as a fantasy starter until Cameron Ward‘s play improves. If you have an injured or struggling QB1, I would do the deal.
Trade Chase Brown for Brian Thomas Jr. (Running backs are Cam Skattebo, Quinshon Judkins and Jordan Mason. Wide receivers are Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, Jauan Jennings and Travis Hunter)
This trade proposal is extremely interesting because the other running backs on your roster have seen a dramatic spike in their value compared to earlier in the season. The question is whether they will continue to excel later in the season.
Quinshon Judkins has the best chance to remain his team’s top running back. After that, it is probably Cam Skattebo, and then Jordan Mason. On the receiving end of things, Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill and Jauan Jennings should be every-week starters (once Jennings and Brock Purdy return).
In a vacuum, I prefer Brian Thomas Jr. to Chase Brown. I worry about your running back depth down the road if you make this deal. If you can navigate your running back situation once Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Aaron Jones return, I would make this trade.
Lineup Advice
Thoughts on Dalton Kincaid versus Matthew Golden at Flex next week?
I am assuming you have an elite tight end, because I view Dalton Kincaid as a top-10 tight end this week. You should start him in most instances. Kincaid is the safer of the two players. Having said that, I would be very tempted to start Matthew Golden against the Dallas Cowboys.
Dallas has been a sieve defensively. In the last two weeks, they have made Russell Wilson and Caleb Williams look like All-Pro quarterbacks. This feels like a classic floor versus ceiling question. If you want the player who will score 10 points, it’s Kincaid. If you want the player who could score 20, it’s Golden. Ultimately, I would go with Kincaid and hope the other Packers eat on Sunday night.
Complaint Desk
Mark Andrews‘ last touchdown gave my opponent the two-point edge needed to beat me. So, he decides to drink Michael’s special juice and play like the Monstars.
The worst feeling in fantasy football is when a player you have on your bench goes off. This happens to most of us every week, depending on the number of leagues we participate in. The second-worst feeling is losing because a player your opponent has finally decided to join the party after doing nothing for multiple weeks.
Mark Andrews had seven yards through two weeks before going off on Monday night for 91 yards and two touchdowns. And for him to score his second touchdown with under 30 seconds left against essentially a prevent defense was so gross. I’m sorry you had to go through that. Hopefully, the fortunes smile upon you next week.
