Everyone loves an Ask Me Anything (AMA), especially the fantasy football community. You can put me at the top of the list of those who love fantasy football AMA. Answering questions for a specific individual fantasy player is so much fun. Not only am I helping that fantasy player improve their team, but it also challenges me to think outside the general box of who is higher in my rankings or who to start this year.
FantasyPros does an excellent job with their Discord AMAs, giving members a chance to have their questions answered by professionals. Please join the Discord channel and reach out to me anytime with any fantasy football questions.

Fantasy Football Discord AMA & Mailbag
So, without further ado, let’s dive into some of the questions and answers from my Week 6 Discord AMA.
Waiver Wire Questions
Should I drop Juwan Johnson for Mason Taylor?
Yes, I would make this move. Johnson has had back-to-back awful performances. More importantly, he has seven targets over the past two weeks after averaging 9.3 per game over the first three weeks. Meanwhile, Taylor has become the New York Jets’ clear-cut No. 2 option in the passing game. The rookie has more targets than Garrett Wilson over the past two weeks (19 vs. 18). Taylor has scored 11.5 or more PPR fantasy points in both contests.
Which Los Angeles Chargers running back should I add with Omarion Hampton out?
I would rather add Kimani Vidal over Hassan Haskins off the waiver wire. However, I’m not spending much FAAB to add either. Vidal was slightly more productive than Haskins after Hampton left last week’s game. Instead of prioritizing a Chargers running back, fantasy players should see if Brashard Smith is on the waiver wire. He has earned more snaps on offense the past two weeks and has more long-term upside.
Would you prioritize David Njoku, Mason Taylor, or Theo Johnson off waivers?
Johnson isn’t in the same tier as Njoku and Taylor for me. He has only 50 receiving yards over the past two weeks and has only been fantasy-relevant because of touchdown luck. Meanwhile, Njoku had a team-high nine targets in Week 5 with Dillon Gabriel making his first career start. Taylor has 19 targets over the past two weeks, leading the New York Jets. I would rather have Njoku over Taylor, but it’s a close call.
Trade Questions
Should I trade away Tucker Kraft and George Pickens for Trey McBride?
Absolutely not! Going from Kraft to McBride would be an upgrade. However, it’s not enough of one to trade away Pickens. Even when CeeDee Lamb returns from the high ankle sprain, Pickens has top-24 fantasy value. He scored 17.8 PPR fantasy points in Week 2 when Lamb had 20.2 fantasy points. The Dallas Cowboys might have the most pass-happy offense in the NFL this season. Do not trade away Pickens unless you can land a superstar player.
How cheap can I trade for Omarion Hampton with him going on injured reserve (IR)?
Fantasy players with a winning record should explore trading for Hampton, with the rookie out at least the next four games because of an ankle injury. If the current owner has a losing record, they might be willing to trade him away for players that can help them win now. I would try selling high on Michael Carter by pairing him with a wide receiver like Michael Pittman Jr. or Calvin Ridley for Hampton.
Who can I get for Alvin Kamara and Chris Godwin in a trade?
Unfortunately, you are trying to trade away two players whose fantasy value is heading in the wrong direction. Kamara has scored single-digit PPR fantasy points in two of the past three games, while Kendre Miller has earned more of a role. Meanwhile, Godwin only saw four targets last week after tying for the team-high in Week 4 with 10. I would hold onto both for another week and see if they have bounce-back performances before trying to trade them away.
I’m 5-0 and have Ja’Marr Chase. Should I trade him or hold?
The fact that you are undefeated despite using your top pick on Chase is impressive. It also means you have a loaded roster. Therefore, I would explore trade options after his garbage time fantasy production in Week 5. However, you don’t have a reason to force a trade. I would trade him away if someone is willing to offer you a must-start player. Otherwise, sit tight and hope he continues to put up points in garbage time.
Outlook Questions
Would you rather have Troy Franklin or Elic Ayomanor for the rest of the season?
Honestly, fantasy players could drop both wide receivers this week for guys on the waiver wire. However, I would rather have Franklin than Ayomanor. After scoring 13.8 or more PPR fantasy points in two of the first three games, the rookie has 10.2 total fantasy points over the past two weeks. Meanwhile, Calvin Ridley might finally be breaking out of his slump. While Franklin hasn’t played great since his Week 2 performance, he has had at least 8.5 fantasy points in back-to-back games.
How much production will Michael Carter provide until Trey Benson returns?
Carter was the Arizona Cardinals’ lead running back in Week 5, totaling 18 rushing attempts for 51 yards, a touchdown, and 18.3 PPR fantasy points. He also had five receptions for 22 receiving yards. However, most of the veteran’s fantasy success was because of the matchup against the Tennessee Titans. They had surrendered 29.5 fantasy points per game to running backs over the first four weeks, the fourth-most in the NFL. I would try to sell high on him.
What should I expect from Derrick Henry moving forward?
Unfortunately, Henry has been borderline unstartable since his outstanding performance in Week 1. The future Hall of Famer has averaged only 3.2 yards per rushing attempt and 7.5 PPR fantasy points per game over the past four weeks, scoring more than 9.3 only once. The Baltimore Ravens haven’t been playing with a lead lately because of all the injuries on defense. Hopefully, things will turn around once Lamar Jackson and others return from injuries over the next few weeks.
