Fantasy Impact: Thompson was expected to have played his last game in Dallas, and it is now clear where he will play next season. The veteran will join a new-look Miami squad that features Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo in the frontcourt. Thompson will look to be a reliable spot-up shooter with plenty of experience for the Heat.

Fantasy Impact: Whitmore joins Cleveland after a flurry of moves, which also included bringing in Peyton Watson to the Cavs. Whitmore, who is just 22 years old, averaged 9.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per contest in 21 games with the Wizards last season.

Fantasy Impact: Mann was flipped to the Wizards along with a second-round pick for Cam Whitmore. Mann averaged just 5.5 points per game last season in 53 contests with the Charlotte Hornets. He will likely fill into a depth role in Washington.

Fantasy Impact: Strus is heading to Denver in exchange for Peyton Watson, who is also signing a 4-year deal with the Cavaliers. Strus played in just 12 games last season, but will likely slide in as a strong option off the bench who can flirt with 40% from beyond the arc.

Fantasy Impact: Watson's offseason saga has come to an end, landing in Cleveland in exchange for Max Strus, a 2031 first-round pick and a 2032 second-round pick. Watson is just 23 years old and is coming off the best season of his career, in which he averaged 14.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in 54 games.

Fantasy Impact: The veteran forward should provide the Pelicans with a decent two-way player, albeit more of a drive-and-D rather than a 3-and-D type of player. He’s averaged about 15-20 minutes a night throughout his career, so it’s reasonable to expect more of the same in New Orleans. He will have limited fantasy appeal.

Fantasy Impact: The veteran forward only played in seven games last year for the Suns, and in a limited role at that, averaging 5.4 points and 2.9 reb+ast per game. He will be a depth option at best, making him mostly irrelevant for fantasy unless injuries or an unforeseen breakout pave the way.

Fantasy Impact: Schroder is officially moved after his name had been in the middle of trade rumors since earlier in the summer. He'll figure to step into a depth role in the back court for Charlotte.

Fantasy Impact: In six games last year for the Clippers, the veteran averaged 8 points and 2.5 reb+ast per game. It’s possible he regains some of his old form in the 2026-27 season, but he’s likely a rotation piece at this point.

Fantasy Impact: This was always a possibility this offseason for Westbrook, who has played for four different teams in the last four seasons. He retires as one of the best point guards in NBA history, with nine All-Star Game appearances, nine All-NBA selections and the 2017 MVP award. He averaged a triple-double in four separate seasons as well.

Moses Moody hopes to be cleared to resume running and on-court activities sometime in September.

Fantasy Impact: Moody is working his way back from a season-ending knee injury. He remains without a clear timetable to return.
