Fantasy Football Player Notes

2020 Half PPR Rest of Season Rankings

Davante Adams Note
Davante Adams photo 4. Davante Adams WR - (at CHI)
Adams looked healthy in his return to the lineup in Week 6, and should immediately regain his status as one of the top-two fantasy receivers. His combination of skill, target share, and elite quarterback play makes him as much of a guarantee as anyone at the position.

Aaron Jones Note
Aaron Jones photo 5. Aaron Jones RB - (at CHI)
Jones still isn't seeing quite the snaps of other running backs in his range fantasy-wise, but it doesn't matter. His absurd performance against the Lions notwithstanding, Jones should be locked in as an RB1 every single week, as he is heavily involved whenever he's on the field and gets the goal-line work. Your buy-low window has slammed shut.

Aaron Rodgers Note
Aaron Rodgers photo 44. Aaron Rodgers QB - (at CHI)
Rodgers was preposterously good against the Vikings, throwing four touchdown passes and essentially having his way against a poor secondary. Whether this is truly a change in offensive philosophy or just attacking an opponent's weakness remains to be seen - but there is a boatload for Rodgers this year if the Packers continue to attack through the air. Move him up your board into the top-10 until further notice.

Allen Lazard Note
Allen Lazard photo 111. Allen Lazard WR - (at CHI)
Lazard was having a breakout year, but is now dealing with a core muscle injury which required surgery. His exact timetable isn't known, but expect him to miss several weeks at least. Stash him on IR if you can, but don't be afraid to move on if you're in a roster crunch.

Jamaal Williams Note
Jamaal Williams photo 128. Jamaal Williams RB - (at CHI)
You may have seen Williams hit the waiver wire in some leagues. While that shouldn't happen, we know it does. Even if he's on someone's roster, go and see what it'd take to acquire him. We already know how things would go down in the Packers backfield if Jones were to miss any time, and that amounts to an RB1 in Williams. These are the types of players who win fantasy championships.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling Note
Marquez Valdes-Scantling photo 158. Marquez Valdes-Scantling WR - (at CHI)
With injuries abound last season, Valdes-Scantling had his opportunities, but couldn't take advantage. Despite playing in all 16 games, he caught just 26 passes and scored two touchdowns. He fell behind Allen Lazard on the depth chart, and with the addition of Devin Funchess, it appeared that Valdes-Scantling wasn't likely to see the field all that much absent an injury. But now, with Funchess opting out, there's at least a plausible, albeit unlikely, path to fantasy-relevance. He's a late-round dart throw, but that's all.

Green Bay Packers Note

Mason Crosby Note
Mason Crosby photo 259. Mason Crosby K - (at CHI)
Crosby is coming off the most accurate year of his career (91.7% on field goals, 40-of-41 extra-point attempts converted). But he saw just 24 field goal attempts after seeing 37 the previous year. The Packers offense isn't what it once was, and Crosby spends the majority of his games kicking outside in cold weather. He's a borderline draftable kicker but there's little to get excited about in 2020.
