Fantasy Football Player Notes

2021 Half PPR Rest of Season Rankings

Leonard Fournette Note
Leonard Fournette photo 7. Leonard Fournette RB - (vs . CAR)
Fournette didn't replicate his four-TD game from Week 12, but he still caught at least six passes for the fourth straight game in Week 13. "Playoff Lenny" has been a revelation as of late, and it has led to him becoming a legitimate RB1 in fantasy football. Fournette's passing game role combined with receiving all the early-down touches in one of the best offenses in football makes him matchup proof throughout the fantasy playoffs.

Rob Gronkowski Note
Rob Gronkowski photo 18. Rob Gronkowski TE - (vs . CAR)
Including playoffs, Gronk now has 11 touchdowns over his past 16 games. In his past three contests, he has secured 15-of-16 targets for 186 yards and four TDs. That's fantastic, but the future Hall-of-Famer is still fighting the age model in a crowded receiving corps. It was tempting to tag him as a "sell", but the Week 1 results are just impossible to ignore.

Chris Godwin Note

Through six weeks, Godwin is seeing a 17% target share with a 9.0 ADOT. The Bucs can't feature everyone every week, but his time will be coming again soon.

Mike Evans Note
Mike Evans photo 26. Mike Evans WR - (vs . CAR)
As expected, Saints corner Marshon Lattimore gave Evans some fits in Week 8. Nonetheless, 'Big Mike' just missed hauling in a long touchdown reception. The Bucs have a bye this week before drawing the burnable Washington secondary in Week 10. Keep Evans rostered for that pristine matchup.

Tom Brady Note
Tom Brady photo 48. Tom Brady QB - (vs . CAR)
There's a case to be made that Brady is the MVP favorite entering Week 6. The 44-year-old has led the Bucs to a 4-1 record with the inside track towards claiming the No. 1 seed in the NFC this postseason. Their offense is the perfect combination of quarterback play, scheme, and surrounding talent. Brady is a rare fantasy signal caller who doesn't need rushing production to post QB1 numbers.

Antonio Brown Note
Antonio Brown photo 163. Antonio Brown WR - (vs . CAR)
Brown's role on the Bucs is similar to what it was in 2020; he isn't running a lot of routes, but Tom Brady is looking for him whenever he's on the field. This leads "AB" to being a more volatile fantasy option than we'd typically like, but it also increases his chances at spiked games. Consider him an upside WR3 moving forward.
