2021 Half PPR Rest of Season Rankings

Elijah Moore Note

Moore wasn't able to pop in Week 12 with Zach Wilson re-inserted into the starting lineup, but he still led the Jets with eight targets. The rookie hauled in four of them for 46 yards while adding one rush for a gain of seven. The "buy" recommendation is easy to make; Moore is uber talented. This is a bet on Wilson figuring out how to get the ball to him more consistently down the stretch. Note that Moore has seen 6+ targets in every game since New York's Week 6 bye.

Michael Carter Note
Michael Carter photo 115. Michael Carter RB - (at BUF)
It was another week of increased usage for the rookie running back. Carter received a whopping 14 targets on Sunday against the Bengals, catching nine passes for 95 yards. Carter also ran 15 times for 77 yards and a rushing touchdown. It was a monstrous performance that was helped by Mike White checking down to the rookie early and often. We know Carter is talented. He entered the weekend ranking 10th in PFF's elusive rating. An increased role elevates him inside the top-24 among RBs rest-of-season.

Ty Johnson Note

Johnson is handling the Jets' LDD snaps and two-minute work entering Week 5. It isn't enough to make him fantasy relevant. Instead, he's more of a thorn in the side of rookie Michael Carter.

Tevin Coleman Note
Tevin Coleman photo 180. Tevin Coleman RB - (at BUF)
Really, the entire Jets rushing attack could be considered sell candidates after a grim performance against Carolina. However, Michael Carter's a talented rookie whose role could grow as the season moves along, while Ty Johnson seems like the preferred combination of playing time and juice. Coleman, meanwhile, compiled 24 uninspiring yards on nine carries against the Panthers. It's okay to move on.

Zach Wilson Note
Zach Wilson photo 243. Zach Wilson QB - (at BUF)
Life in the NFL has obviously been a struggle for Wilson, who continues to be overly reliant on his playmaking ability. Wilson's average time to throw has increased from 2.81 seconds in 2020 to 3.0 through three games as a professional. The supporting cast is arguably the worst in the league, which keeps Wilson well off the fantasy radar as September comes to a close.
