2021 Half PPR Rest of Season Rankings

DeAndre Hopkins Note
DeAndre Hopkins photo 39. DeAndre Hopkins WR - (vs . SEA)
Hopkins' target share has hovered around 30% for most of the past four seasons. Unfortunately, in 2021, it's right around 20% through six games. Part of this is the rib injury he's battling, but Arizona also has more mouths to feed this season and therefore doesn't need to rely on him as much. His talent keeps him in the WR1 conversation moving forward, but he'll need to remain highly efficient to pay off his draft day acquisition cost. Six touchdowns (already matching his 2020 total) certainly helps.

James Conner Note

Conner didn't erupt in Week 10 against the Panthers, likely because the Arizona offense played so poorly without Kyler Murray. This gives us a bit of a "post hype" buying opportunity. Conner's usage remained consistent with his monstrous Week 9 (68% RB rush share to 63%, 19% target share to 14%). He's still a high-end RB2, if not a RB1, until Chase Edmonds (ankle) returns.

Kyler Murray Note

Murray's production was down from Weeks 3-5, but he came roaring back in Week 6. Arizona has been playing so efficiently this season, on both sides of the ball, that Murray hasn't had to air it out as often as he did in the Minnesota game back in Week 2. However, the combination of a high-end aerial attack with designed rushes and scrambles is there. Murray will have some eruption games if-and-when the Cardinals face more competitive game scripts.

Christian Kirk Note
Christian Kirk photo 95. Christian Kirk WR - (vs . SEA)
I'm labeling Kirk as a "sell" just as a warning before fantasy managers spend too much FAAB on him. Yes, the two TDs were nice, but Kirk played on just 54% of the snaps in Week 1. This doesn't mean he won't have a role this season, and perhaps additional fantasy-relevant weeks, but expectations should be kept in check.

Chase Edmonds Note
Chase Edmonds photo 106. Chase Edmonds RB - (vs . SEA)
Edmonds is down to seeing just 29% of the Cardinal's rushing attempts through six weeks. Part of that is the fact that Arizona keeps playing with leads. The other part of it is that Edmonds has been battling a shoulder injury as of late. He's seeing a positive target share, but he profiles as a better fantasy play in games we expect Arizona to be losing (or at least competitive). Week 7 against the Texans isn't one of those games.

A.J. Green Note
A.J. Green photo 148. A.J. Green WR - (vs . SEA)
The 33-year-old ranks second on the Cardinals in routes and targets, which gives him weekly FLEX viability as we approach a plethora of bye weeks. There likely isn't a ton of upside here, and Arizona has several mouths to feed, but Green is beating his draft day ADP so far.

Rondale Moore Note

Through five weeks it doesn't seem as if the Cardinals want to utilize Moore as a full-time player. However, he's simply electric with the ball in his hands; and as we learned on Sunday, at hauling in toe-tapping sideline catches. The rookie totaled 97 combined rushing and receiving yards in Week 5. The usage might be volatile for now, but as a first year player that will hopefully change as the season moves along. Investing in Moore now is simply a bet on talent.
