Wednesday presents us with an eight-game schedule to work with as we enter the final week of the NBA regular season.
As a friendly reminder, be sure to keep an eye on the news throughout the day, as injury/rest situations can be very prevalent this time of year. Let’s take a look at a tournament lineup for DraftKings.

Point Guard
Ish Smith (DET): $5,900 vs. TOR
With Reggie Jackson essentially shut down for the remainder of the season, Smith figures to continue logging heavy minutes as the starting point guard. He’s been playing well in place of Jackson, having averaged 33.1 DKP over the last four games, and he should be able to keep that rolling tonight. The Raptors have been in the middle of the pack against opposing point guards with Kyle Lowry out, which should translate to Smith being able to approach output of six times his current salary tonight.
Other Notables:
- Russell Westbrook (OKC): $12,700 @ MEM
- Stephen Curry (GS): $10,000 @ PHO
- Kyrie Irving (BOS): $8,100 @ BOS
Shooting Guard
Gary Harris (DEN): $5,600 @ HOU
The Nuggets are fighting for their playoff lives, and I want to try and get some exposure to them tonight as a result. Toss in a friendly matchup in a game that has a projected total pushing 240 points, and you have a great fantasy scenario brewing. Harris is coming off of a big 44 DKP outing yesterday, and with this game not meaning quite as much for Houston, I look for another strong outing this evening.
Other Notables:
- James Harden (HOU): $12,500 vs. DEN
- Devin Booker (PHO): $8,000 vs. GS
- Klay Thompson (GS): $7,300 @ PHO
- Lou Williams (HOU): $6,200 vs. DEN
- Josh Richardson (MIA): $5,400 @ CHA
Small Forward
Matt Barnes (GS): $3,400 @ PHO
As of right now, the Warriors are planning to rest Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala, which should open the door for more run for Barnes. This is an elite matchup in a contest that features the second-highest total of the evening at 223 points. Even though Barnes isn’t a youngster, he’s still shown some flashes of upside, and his salary relief is very meaningful.
Other Notables:
- LeBron James (CLE): $10,200 @ BOS
- Tobias Harris (DET): $6,000 vs. TOR
- Patrick McCaw (GS): $3,000 @ PHO
Power Forward
Kevin Love (CLE): $7,400 @ BOS
Love was extremely efficient last night, scoring 54.24 DKP in just 28 minutes of playing time in a win over Orlando. This contest should be much closer, which would likely afford Love playing time closer to the mid-30s. This game is very important for both sides, as it would break a tie for first place in the Eastern Conference. Tristan Thompson has been ruled out, so I think this only enhances Love’s value tonight.
Other Notables
- Blake Griffin (LAC): $8,300 vs. DAL
- Zach Randolph (MEM): $6,600 vs. OKC
- Serge Ibaka (TOR): $6,000 @ DET
Center
Clint Capela (HOU): $5,800 vs. DEN
I think there’s a bit of risk involved in terms of utilizing Houston players tonight, as they are locked into the three seed in the Western Conference. That being said, this is a good matchup in an elite fantasy environment, so I don’t mind rolling the dice with Capela due to his manageable salary.
Other Notables
- Nikola Jokic (DEN): $9,400 @ HOU
- Hassan Whiteside (MIA): $7,900 @ CHA
- Andre Drummond (DET): $7,200 vs. TOR
- Cody Zeller (CHA): $4,800 vs. MIA
Guard
Isaiah Thomas (BOS): $8,500 vs. CLE
I already noted the importance of this game, so be sure to get plenty of exposure to Thomas in your lineups. This is a great matchup against Kyrie Irving, and Thomas has thrived against Cleveland, having averaged 46.5 DKP through three matchups.
Forward
T.J. Warren (PHO): $7,100 vs. GS
Warren is slotting in comfortably as the number two threat offensively behind Devin Booker, and he could see even more responsibility if Booker is being hounded by Klay Thompson. This should be a fantasy friendly matchup for both parties, and Warren is a virtual lock to see 38 minutes of playing time this evening, giving him plenty of tournament winning upside.
Utility
Danilo Gallinari (DEN): $6,300 @ HOU
With the notion that Denver is fighting to remain in the hunt for a playoff spot, I don’t mind doubling up with Gallinari in lineups tonight. Gallinari is a streaky player at times, and he’s logged exactly 41.25 DKP in consecutive games, so I think he is a very fair buy this evening.
