Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team, Late Pick (2025)

Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team, Late Pick (2025)

Now that the NFL Draft is over and we know all the landing spots for the incoming rookies, it’s time to start thinking about how we are going to build our fantasy football teams for the upcoming season.

Below, I will walk you through my latest fantasy football mock draft using standard scoring with the standard Yahoo roster format (1-QB/2-RB/2-WR/1-Flex/1-K/1-D/ST) and picking from the No. 12 spot.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft

Let’s go through each of the picks from my latest fantasy football mock draft using the FantasyPros mock draft simulator.

1.12: Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR – DET)

In standard scoring, I usually prioritize running backs, but with one of the best pass-catchers in the league falling, I couldn’t pass on drafting Amon-Ra St. Brown.

2.01: Josh Jacobs (RB – GB)

After drafting St. Brown with my first pick, I had to make sure I left the first two rounds with at least one running back. Josh Jacobs is a true workhorse and should see another season with 340+ touches. De’Von Achane could be another good option at this spot.

3.12: Terry McLaurin (WR – WSH)

I wanted to grab another back here, but Omarion Hampton, Alvin Kamara and Joe Mixon didn’t intrigue me enough. I now have two high-ceiling pass catchers on the board after the round three/round four turn.

4.01: Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR – ARI)

I’m still all in on Marvin Harrison Jr. I think we will see a big jump in his second season. His Ohio State teammate, Garrett Wilson, was also an option here. You can’t go wrong with either option. I prefer Harrison with Kyler Murray throwing him the rock rather than Wilson catching passes from Justin Fields.

5.12: Quinshon Judkins (RB – CLE)

6.01: Tony Pollard (RB – TEN)

Running back depth was a must with my next two picks. I had plenty of options to choose from, including Quinshon Judkins, Tony Pollard, RJ Harvey and D’Andre Swift.

I ultimately did a double-tap with Judkins and Pollard. With Nick Chubb out of the picture in Cleveland, Judkins should have an immediate role. Not sure Cleveland has much faith in Jerome Ford after drafting Judkins and Dylan Sampson.

7.12: George Pickens (WR – DAL)

George Pickens could have a huge year with the upgrade at the quarterback position and lining up across CeeDee Lamb.

8.01: Travis Etienne Jr. (RB – JAX)

There have been a lot of rumors regarding Travis Etienne, and whether or not he will be the starter come the start of the season.

Worst case, he stays in Jacksonville and has to compete with Tank Bigsby and Bhayshul Tuten.

Best case, he gets traded to a running back-needy team.

9.12: Jared Goff (QB – DET)

I would prefer a quarterback with rushing upside, but I decided to wait on a quarterback and was able to stack Jared Goff with St. Brown.

10.01: Khalil Shakir (WR – BUF)

Khalil Shakir is more valuable in PPR leagues, but being able to snag Josh Allen‘s No. 1 target this late in the draft is awesome value.

11.12: David Njoku (TE – CLE)

I didn’t mind waiting this long on tight end, but looking back at the draft board, I should have selected Colston Loveland or Travis Kelce. Njoku may have starting upside if Joe Flacco starts the season at quarterback, but other than that, he may be a bye week filler option, at best.

12.01: Jaydon Blue (RB – DAL)

At this point in the draft, you are looking for players who have playing potential with high upside. Jaydon Blue fits that mold in Dallas. He will have to pass both Miles Sanders and Javonte Williams on the depth chart, but the former Longhorn has the dynamic skill set to do so.

13.12: Justin Fields (QB – NYJ)

Justin Fields provides a second option at quarterback if he can flourish in New York. Fields brings rushing upside but also has a stud at wide receiver in Garrett Wilson.

14.01: Broncos D/ST

I always save the last two picks in any draft for my D/ST and kicker. It was hard to pass up on a team with the best defense in the NFL last year.

15.12: Younghoe Koo (K – ATL)

When taking a kicker, look for someone on a high-powered offense or who will play the majority of their games in domes. Younghoe Koo fits the bill.
