Fantasy Baseball Prospects Report: Rankings & Stashes

I won’t be hitting every prospect every week, but will focus on the most relevant throughout the week and will follow up on other notable players post my Top 150 rankings. This article will not focus on any AAAA type players or veterans in the minors who have outlived their prospect status.

Full Top 150 Prospect Rankings:

NOTE: Rookie status is determined by 130 ABs, or 50 IPs at the Major League level. All stats as of Sunday, 6/8/25.

MLB Hitters:

  1. SS Marcelo Mayer (Red Sox)

2024 AA: .307/.370/.480 | 9 BB%, 19.7 K% | 36 XBH, 8 HR, 13 SB (77 games)

2025 AAA (as of 5/25/25): .271/.347/.471 | 10.4 BB%, 19.7 K% | 15 XBH, 9 HR, 2 SB

This Week: 2/10 | 1 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Age: 22

ETA: Debuted

fScores: 103 fContact, 88 fDiscipline, 94 fPower, 114 fSpeed

Comp: Lefty Dansby Swanson with more doubles power / less HR power

Prime Skills: Fast hands and a good eye lead to an advanced batting average profile, but how much power will he hit for in his prime? He’s had some bad injury luck that’s affected his statline two seasons in a row now. Mayer has a solid hit tool with an 86.3 Z-contact% this season at AAA and aggressive approach with a 64.7 Z-swing%. I think we have a high doubles guy here who will provide immediate value based on an advanced approach.

Player Notes: Mayer hit the first homer of his short career as a pro this week.

MLB Pitchers:

  1. SP Mick Abel (Phillies)

2024 AAA: 108 2/3 IP | 7.6 K-BB%, 10.9 SwStr%, 26.3 CSW% | 6.46 ERA, 1.81 WHIP

2025 AAA (as of 5/31/25): 57 IP | 17.2 K-BB%, 13.3 SwStr%, 29.2 CSW% | 2.21 ERA, 1.23 WHIP

2025 MLB: 6 IP | 40.9 K-BB%, 19 SwStr%, 35.7 CSW% | 0.79 ERA, 0.71 WHIP

This Week: 5 1/3 IP | 2 Ks, 0 BBs | 1.69 ERA, 0.56 WHIP

Age: 23

ETA: Debuted

fScores: 98 fStuff, 91 fControl, 113 fERA

Comp: A young Max Scherzer with significantly worse control.

Prime Skills: Abel has a sick curveball (16.8 SwStr%) with a high 90s fastball with great movement (14.8 SwStr% – really great for a fastball and 108 Stuff+) and solid changeup (14.1 SwStr%). Abel has had #2-3 starter upside for a couple of years now, but needs to work on his control if he wants to meet maximum potential – but the stuff is there. The command has been much better this year, which is why he’s back in my top prospects list. His slider is his go-to breaker, though it’s less effective than the curve and changeup, as he doesn’t even throw it in the zone even 40% of the time.

Player Notes: Abel returned from the minors for a very solid start despite not having a lot of strikeouts. It’s great to see his command much improved in the majors from AAA, further proving my theory on the ABS effect.

AAA Hitters:

  1. OF Roman Anthony (Red Sox)

2024 AA/AAA: .291/.396/.498 | 14.6 BB%, 23.5 K% | 54 XBH, 18 HR, 21 SB

2025 AAA: .290/.421/.495 | 18.8 BB%, 21.1 K% | 21 XBH, 10 HR, 3 SB

This Week: 3/20 | 2 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

Age: 21

ETA: Mid 2025

fScores: 107 fContact, 134 fDiscipline, 103 fPower, 97 fSpeed

Comp: Gunnar Henderson in the OF

Prime Skills: Very good eye with a strong power tool for a young kid who still needs to fill out. He could be a five-tool guy, but he needs to be more consistent on the base paths for steals to be a big part of his game long term. The Max and 90th percentile EVs are top notch, but he could benefit from being more aggressive in the zone and would definitely benefit by hitting more balls in the air, as his biggest flaw is the 52% ground ball rate. Another important factor in his profile, being a lefty, is that his slash line is actually better against lefties.

Player Notes: I’m throwing Anthony on the list this week because he hit a monster homer with a near 116 max EV and just under 500 feet. He’s ready for the call.

  1. C / 1B Samuel Basallo (Orioles)

2024 AA/AAA: .278/.341/.449 | 8.6 BB%, 21.1 K% | 44 XBH, 19 HR, 10 SB

2025 AAA: .238/.345/.571 | 14.2 BB%, 25.7 K% | 18 XBH, 12 HR, 0 SB

This Week: 4/14 | 3 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

Age: 20

ETA: Early 2026

fScores: N/A

Comp: Kyle Schwarber with a better hit tool

Prime Skills: Solid plate discipline and great power and young for his level, Bassallo has seen some regression in 2024 on the batted ball data, as he has not been lifting the ball in the air enough to reach his power potential and he’s been dinged in the plate skills category this year seeing a decent increase in swinging strike and K rate, while also seeing an even larger decrease in walk rate. The dude is built for his age with fast hands, but a tight/weird batting stance. He will likely move off the catcher position full-time because of Rutschman. Oddly he has a 23.9% barrel rate and only an 11.3% line drive rate this season, I’ve never seen such a discrepancy between those two numbers, which means most of his barrels are in the air and most of his non-barrels are in the ground (48% GB rate), which needs corrected.

Player Notes: Basallo just keeps on mashing bombs.

  1. SS Jordan Lawlar (Diamondbacks)

2024 AA/AAA: .318/.417/.485 | 9 XBH, 2 HR, 6 SB (23 games)

2025 AAA: .333/.410/.593 | 10.4 BB%, 25.4 K% | 27 XBH, 8 HR, 13 SB

2025 MLB: 0/14 (5 games – part-time)

This Week: 8/21 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

Age: 22

ETA: Debuted

fScores: 104 fContact, 103 fDiscipline, 94 fPower, 168 fSpeed

Comp: Trea Turner light

Prime Skills: Lawlar has a nice power swing, but it may affect his contact ability in the majors – he has all fields power and ridiculous speed, he’s a very aggressive base runner and puts himself in good positions to make things happen on top of having way above average plate discipline for his age.

Player Notes: Lawlar returned to a full time role back in the minors and immediately started mashing again – he just needs opportunity to succeed.

  1. OF Justin Crawford (Phillies)

2024 A+/AA: .313/.360/.444 | 6.4 BB%, 18.7 K% | 38 XBH, 9 HR, 42 SB (110 games)

2025 AAA: .349/.416/.448 | 10.4 BB%, 19.2 K% | 16 XBH, 1 HR, 23 SB

This Week: 9/16 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 4 SB

Age: 21

ETA: July 2025

fScores: N/A

Comp: Carl Crawford w/ less power (Taller Juan Pierre perhaps?)

Prime Skills: Speed, lightning speed like his dad. The hit tool is developing and the plate skills are improving, and now we are getting 10-15 homer power to go along with the rest of the tools. Crawford has an 83.7% contact rate and 89.3% Z-Contact rate along with an aggressive over 70% Z-swing – so the hit tool is very solid, 60 grade. The crazy thing is his raw power is also not bad, despite no homers, because he is not barreling balls and hitting the ball on the ground more than 60% of the time. He has a 90.6 average EV, 104 90th percentile and 110.6 max EV this year.

Player Notes: Crawford is probably going to be up in the near future – his ability to get on base is ridiculous and he could immediately be a better version of Victor Scott II once he gets the call.

  1. OF Colby Thomas (Athletics)

2024 AA/AAA: .277/.342/.563 | 7 BB%, 24.7 K% | 80 XBH, 31 HR, 15 SB

2025 AAA: .300/.362/.558 | 6.4 BB%, 26.4 K% | 32 XBH, 14 HR, 2 SB

This Week: 12/28 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

Age: 24

ETA: Mid 2025

fScores (pre-season): 95 fContact, 58 fDiscipline, 124 fPower, 106 fSpeed

Comp: Taylor Ward and Adolis Garcia mash

Prime Skills: Thomas has all fields power and does a great job of shooting the ball through the gaps, and has an over 27% line drive rate in 2024. He has an open stance with hands up, loaded pre-pitch. He’s an extra base hit machine and may run into some strikeout issues, but has improved his hit tool since last season with a 73% contact rate and 84% Z-contact rate, improvements of nearly 6-7% from last season.

Player Notes: Thomas is an extra base hit beast. As long as he can maintain league-average contact rates in the majors, he will be a slugging stud.

  1. OF Dylan Beavers (Orioles)

2024 AA/AAA: .242/.342/.408 | 12.8 BB%, 23.5 K% | 40 XBH, 15 HR, 31 SB

2025 AAAA: .310/.400/.452 | 13.4 BB%, 20.4 K% | 14 XBH, 4 HR, 16 SB

This Week: 8/20 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB

Age: 23

ETA: Late 2025

fScores: 102 fContact, 108 fDiscipline, 91 fPower, 173 fSpeed

Comp: Kyle Tucker mechanics with a PCA skillset

Prime Skills: Big lefty outfielder who killed it in the doubles department last year and is not transitioning some of that into homerun power. There’s a potential 20/25 player here if he can hit enough to make it work, as the 105.9 90th percentile EV and 110.3 max EV portend to at least 20 homer power. The hit tool has progressed dramatically since last season as he now has a well above average 89.1 Z-Contact% and 81.3 Contact% with only a 21.5 chase rate.

Player Notes: Beavers isn’t hitting for as much power as last year, but the contact, speed, and doubles power are all at another level.

3B Brady House (Nationals):

Season: .299/.352/.521 | 7.4 BB% / 25.8 K% | 27 XBH, 12 HR, 0 SB

This Week: 10/26 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

Notes: I admittedly have some prospect fatigue with Brady House, who used to be a top 50 guy for me, but he’s having a good season this year and deserves recognition for fixing his swing. He has some big power (108.8 90th EV), but the hit tool is still below average (72.1% contact).

3B Orelvis Martinez (Blue Jays):

Season: .225/.303/.444 | 9.5 BB% / 28.4 K% | 20 XBH, 9 HR, 0 SB

This Week: 8/25 | 4 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB

Notes: His suspension is over, and now he has to work himself back to the majors and a 65% contact rate despite the power not being good enough, though this was a good week for him.

OF Tristan Peters (Rays):

Season: .294/.381/.473 | 12.1 BB% / 16.9 K% | 22 XBH, 6 HR, 7 SB

This Week: 11/21 | 8 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB

Notes: Peters could get some run this year in the majors as he’s having his best season since getting drafted. The EVs are not good, so I don’t see much power potential here, but he manages to outperform his metrics.

AAA Pitchers:

  1. SP Jacob Misiorowski (Brewers)

2024 AA: 97 1/3 IP | 16.1 K-BB%, 14.1 SwStr%, 30.7 CSW% | 3.33 ERA, 1.20 WHIP

2025 AAA: 63 1/3 IP | 19.4 K-BB%, 14.7 SwStr%, 30.2 CSW% | 2.13 ERA, 1.09 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 3 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP

Age: 23

Comp: Young Tyler Glasnow with worse control

ETA: August 2025

fScores (pre-season): 108 fStuff, 88 fControl, 135 fERA (as a starter)

Prime Skills: Killer fastball that he has gotten up to 103 mph, and it’s at an odd arm angle (15.5% SwStr% on it in 2025), so it’s difficult to pick up with an elite slider in his pocket as well. He’s had some control issues, especially as a starter, but has seemed to have improved starting in the second half of last yea,r and has had marked improvement this season, just as many were about to give up on him as a starter.

Player Notes: Misiorowski threw 14 pitches over 100 mph in his latest start this week.

  1. SP Quinn Mathews (Cardinals)

2024 A/A+/AA/AAA: 143 1/3 IP | 26.8 K-BB%, 16.1 SwStr%, 32.9 CSW% | 2.76 ERA, 0.98 WHIP

2025 CPX/A/AAA (as of 5/25/25): 15 1/3 IP | 0 K-BB%, 14 SwStr%, 25.2 CSW% | 4.11 ERA, 1.89 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 6 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP

Age: 24

ETA: Late 2025

fScores: 107 fStuff, 97 fControl, 133 fERA

Comp: Cole Ragans light

Prime Skills: Mathews is a big college lefty with a ridiculous fastball/slider combo with a big mid-90s fastball with above average rise to it, and the slider is a swing and miss machine paired with that fastball. He has elite command of these pitches and has shown himself in college to be a workhorse. He also has a curve and a 60/65 grade changeup that he didn’t even need when I saw him in A ball.

In-person (last year / this year):

  • vFB 95-97 MPH / 93-95 MPH (11% SwStr% 2024 vs. 2% 2025)
  • 84-86 MPH slider — 20.3 SwStr%
  • 81-83 MPH change up — 26.3 SwStr% last year (18.9% 2025)
  • 76-77 MPH curve
  • 94 MPH sinker (started working it in end of last season)

Player Notes: Mathews was throwing 96 mph in his start this week, and the IVB was back up toward 17″ – he may have just accessed early his 2024 fastball.

  1. SP Logan Henderson (Brewers)

2024 CPX/A+/AA/AAA: 81 1/3 IP | 28.1 K-BB%, 15 SwStr%, 31.6 CSW% | 3.32 ERA, 0.91 WHIP

2025 AAA: 30 IP | 25.2 K-BB%, 15.8 SwStr%, 30.8 CSW% | 2.40 ERA, 0.97 WHIP

2025 MLB (as of 5/25/25): 21 IP | 28.4 K-BB%, 12.9 SwStr%, 25.4 CSW% | 1.71 ERA, 0.95 WHIP

This Week: 8 IP (2 starts) | 10 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP

Age: 23

ETA: Debuted

fScores: 105 fStuff, 106 fControl, 110 fERA

Comp: Spencer Strider-light (dude has some quads) mash with Michael Wacha

Prime Skills: Henderson is of slight build (5’11”) and has jumped up a couple of levels already this season after destroying at low A most of last season. He has excellent command and a nice fastball/changeup combo. The fastball runs 94-96 MPH, and the changeup is one of the better changeups in the minors. On a pitch level, Henderson has thrown the fastball more in the minors than in the majors (52% v 47%), he has a 15.8 SwStr% on it in the majors (94th percentile) against a 20.2 SwStr% at AAA. He has been throwing the cutter more in the minors as well, and the changeup was getting thrown 41% of the time in the majors and only 29% of the time in the minors.

Player Notes: The Brewers are limiting Logan Henderson with a 70 PC over the last couple of starts – it’s crazy that he’s still in AAA with how good he has been.

SP Cam Schlittler (Yankees)

2025 Season: 58 IP | 22.4 K-BB%, 13.7 SwStr%, 31.1 CSW% | 2.33 ERA, 1.19 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 3 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 1.00 WHIP

Notes: Schlittler made his AAA debut this week and had some good success – AAA is a tough transition for pitchers.

AA Hitters:

  1. SS JJ Wetherholt (Cardinals)

2024 College: .331/.472/.589 | 16 XBH, 8 HR, 6 SB (36 games)

2024 A: .295/.405/.400 | 12.7 BB%, 11.9 K% | 7 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB (29 games)

2025 AA: .306/.422/.469 | 15.6 BB%, 13.3 K% | 15 XBH, 4 HR, 7 SB

This Week: 9/17 (6 BBs) | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Age: 22

ETA: Early 2026

fScores: 102 fContact, 128 fDiscipline, 86 fPower, 136 fSpeed

Comp: Corbin Carroll / Marcus Semien mash-up

Prime Skills: Wetherholt hits the crap out of the ball for a smaller guy, is athletic and has a great eye at the plate. He has quick, an easy swing and great bat control that will likely lead to an early career high doubles profile that later translates into more power as he gets closer to his peak. Wetherholt had an average EV of 91.8 last season to go along with an aggressively effective approach in the zone with a 73.4 Z-Swing % and only 14.1% chase rate to pair with an 86% contact rate this season in AA and no splits concerns as a lefty.

Player Notes: Wetherholt has been consistently putting up numbers with a great hit tool, week in and week out all season.

  1. 3B Brock Wilken (Brewers)

2024 AA: .200/.314/.365 | 13.3 BB%, 28 K% | 33 XBH, 17 HR, 1 SB

2025 AA: .206/.376/.481 | 20.2 BB%, 27.7 K% | 24 XBH, 14 HR, 2 SB

This Week: 5/23 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB

Age: 22

ETA: Early 2026

fScores: 87 fContact, 119 fDiscipline, 113 fPower, 72 fSpeed

Comp: Righty Max Muncy

Prime Skills: This dude has massive power, but the question is if the hit tool can be average enough to allow him to mash 30-40 homers. His contact rate is up to 74%, which is good enough with his power and he has a top notch eye. He’s been making nice strides post-injury this season.

Player Notes: Wliken has shown some very good power against a .229 BABIP on the season.

C Eduardo Valencia (Tigers):

Season: .317/.375/.602 | 7.3 BB% / 21.2 K% | 13 XBH, 11 HR, 0 SB

This Week: 9/19 | 5 XBH, 5 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Valencia is old for the level, but is undeniably having a great season with a 182 wRC+, despite basically being HR or bust.

OF Kemp Alderman (Marlins):

Season: .286/.352/.438 | 8.8 BB% / 19 K% | 15 XBH, 6 HR, 13 SB

This Week: 9/23 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Alderman has made this list a few times this season now and just like Joc Pederson, whom I compared him too – he can be very streaky.

3B Luke Adams (Brewers):

Season: .244/.425/.488 | 16.8 BB% / 20.6 K% | 21 XBH, 9 HR, 9 SB

This Week: 7/15 | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Luke Adams reminds me of another Luke, Luke Raley and is putting up some undoubtedly valiant numbers as a 21-year-old at AA.

C Leonardo Bernal (Cardinals):

Season: .289/.371/.530 | 11.8 BB% / 14.7 K% | 18 XBH, 9 HR, 4 SB

This Week: 6/16 | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Cardinals catchers are ridiculous. Bernal is a guy I got to see a lot in-person in 2023 in Jupiter, and he’s a classic fire hydrant catcher build with great defensive skills to boot, and not only has power, but a near 80% contact rate.

AA Pitchers:

  1. SP Chase Burns (Reds)

2024 College: 100 IP | 191 Ks, 30 BBs | 2.70 ERA, 0.92 WHIP

2025 A+/AA: 53 2/3 IP | 33.7 K-BB%, 18.2 SwStr%, 36.2% CSW | 1.68 ERA, 0.75 WHIP

This Week: 7 IP | 6 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP

Age: 21

ETA: Late 2025

fScores: 120 fStuff, 109 fControl, 134 fERA

Comp: Hunter Greene / Dylan Cease mash up

Prime Skills: Insane fastball/slider combo that could be one of the best in baseball. He’s bigger than some of the other guys with this type of fastball / slider combo like Jared Jones and Spencer Strider and could also just be a better version of Jared Jones. The fastball ranges from 98-102 with a ton of ride running an over 19 IVB, while his slider runs 87-89 as the primary swing and miss pitch and the curve is also a plus pitch.

Player Notes: Burns is up to 80 pitches per game his last three times out. He should be ready for a bump to AAA very soon and could definitely be in the majors by the end of the season.

  1. SP Jonah Tong (Mets)

2024 A/A+/AA: 113 IP | 24.1 K-BB%, 14.9 SwStr%, 31.1 CSW | 3.03 ERA, 1.17 WHIP

2025 AA (as of 5/29/25): 44 IP | 27.1 K-BB%, 15.7 SwStr%, 32.5 CSW | 2.25 ERA, 1.07 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 11 Ks, 3 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.60 WHIP

Age: 21

ETA: Mid 2026

fScore: 103 fStuff, 88 fControl, 118 fERA

Comp: Jared Jones light

Prime Skills: Tong has some tricky IVB on a sinking mid 90s fastball (hitting 95-96 MPH now), a big curve that drops right in on hitters from a high over the top arm slot from a smaller 6’1″, 180-pound frame. He also pairs these with a decent back pocket change up and a hard vertical slider to bridge between the fastball and curve. The command was on early in the year, but it seems to come and go with Tong.

Player Notes: Tong rebounded from two poor outings back-to-back for another strong outing as he moves up into my Top 100 in the latest update.

  1. SP Tekoah Roby (Cardinals)

2024 AA: 33 1/3 IP | 13.6 K-BB%, 13.7 SwStr%, 28.2 CSW% | 6.75 ERA, 1.75 WHIP

2025 AA (as of 5/31/25): 40 1/3 IP | 24.7 K-BB%, 15.2 SwStr%, 31.5 CSW% | 2.68 ERA, 0.99 WHIP

This Week: 6 2/3 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.35 ERA, 0.75 WHIP

Age: 23

ETA: Late 2025

fScores: 109 fStuff, 103 fControl, 108 fERA

Comp: Shane Baz

Prime Skills: Four plus pitches with above average command. He likes to play his 95-97 mph heater up in the zone (w/ up to 21″ IVB) then goes low with the nasty 70 grade curve, his best pitch when he’s on. He also mixes in a very good, new and improved kick changeup and a solid slider. He’s been on a tear of late with 29 Ks and only 2 BBs in his last four outings and his max pitch count seems to be up toward 80 as he has been building up from injuries this season.

Player Notes: Roby should be in AAA soon, I may not have ranked him high enough in my last rankings update – he’s on fire.

SP Sean Sullivan (Rockies)

2025 Season: 33 1/3 IP | 23.3 K-BB%, 12.2 SwStr%, 31.4 CSW% | 1.62 ERA, 0.78 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 8 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.50 WHIP

Notes: Sullivan is finally looking like his old self, as he’s healthy after returning from an injury and having a rough transition back. He still fell off my rankings though since even Chase Dollander is having a tough time making Coors work.

SP Coleman Crow (Brewers)

2025 Season: 37 IP | 26.9 K-BB%, 14.3 SwStr%, 32.1 CSW% | 2.43 ERA, 0.92 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.17 WHIP

Notes: Crow is a guy I liked back in 2023, but he missed 2024 (while a Met) due to Tommy John surgery. He’s back now and seems to be the Brewers KC Hunt for the year.

SP Brody Hopkins (Rays)

2025 Season: 54 IP | 17 K-BB%, 12 SwStr%, 28.6 CSW% | 3.33 ERA, 1.31 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP

Notes: Hopkins just missed my Top 150 as a guy with killer stuff, but pretty bad command. When he has these good command starts, he’s going to make the list, since this is his third or fourth appearance this year.

A+ Hitters:

  1. OF Lazaro Montes (Mariners)

2024 A/A+: .288/.397/.484 | 14.4 BB%, 23.6 K% | 44 XBH, 21 HR, 5 SB

2025 A+: .281/.390/.576 | 14.9 BB%, 26.4 K% | 29 XBH, 13 HR, 3 SB

This Week: 7/24 | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

Age: 20

ETA: Late 2026

fScores: N/A

Comp: Shades of a lefty Paul Goldschmidt in the OF

Prime Skills: Big strong kid with a great hit tool, Montes has some insane lefty power and good plate skills. He’s also really improved his body from 2023 to 2024, which has likely helped him cut down the K rate, while also shrinking the gap between BABIP and his batting average. The power is up this year from last year as he has figured out high A and is likely ready for the next step.

Player Notes: Why is Montes still at high A? He and Josue De Paula both need to be in AA at this point.

  1. SS Kaelen Culpepper (Twins)

2024 A/A+: .242/.330/.394 | 9.8 BB%, 13.4 K% | 8 XBH, 3 HR, 4 SB

2025 A+: .301/.395/.497 | 11.5 BB% / 17.5 K% | 17 XBH, 8 HR, 14 SB

This Week: 8/26 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 3 SB

Age: 22

ETA: 2027

fScores: N/A

Comp: Dansby Swanson

Prime Skills: Kaelen Culpepper is showing a very nice hit tool and plus plate approach this season with a little power and speed on the side as the Twins first rounder from last season. Culpepper is running a plus contact rate at 78%, but he has had a pretty rough time against lefties, though it’s not enough of a concern that he has potential platoon issues. He has great bat speed and a really sweet swing that portends to some nice pull power.

Player Notes: Culpepper is becoming the high A version of JJ Wetherholt where he just consistently puts up solid numbers every week.

SS Echedry Vargas (Marlins):

Season: .296/.379/.548 | 9.8 BB% / 22 K% | 15 XBH, 7 HR, 2 SB

This Week: 7/17 | 6 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Vargas was formerly a top 150 prospect for me, but he has been pretty bad with the Marlins organization until this week. He has been pretty unlucky with a .222 BABIP this season too.

OF Miguel Bleis (Red Sox):

Season: .260/.335/.513 | 9.8 BB% / 26.6 K% | 18 XBH, 10 HR, 11 SB

This Week: 7/20 | 5 XBH, 4 HR, 2 SB

Notes: Bleis is another big prospect name from 2023, he’s still only 21-years-old and is having a solid bounceback season.

SS/OF Brandon Winokur (Twins):

Season: .222/.314/.377 | 9.1 BB% / 23.6 K% | 21 XBH, 5 HR, 13 SB

This Week: 9/24 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB

Notes: Winokur is a fun prospect to project out on as a 6′ 6″ tool shed with a ton of XBH power this season, but the hit tool is holding him back with only a 65.7% contact rate.

3B Luis Suisbal (Mariners):

Season: .287/.382/.457 | 11.5 BB% / 25.1 K% | 16 XBH, 6 HR, 1 SB

This Week: 6/17 (5 BBs) | 6 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Suisbal basically got his entire season so far into one week as he appears to be adjusting to the level.

A+ Pitchers:

  1. SP Travis Sykora (Nationals)

2024 A: 85 IP | 31 K-BB%, 20.8 SwStr%, 36.2 CSW% | 2.30 ERA, 0.91 WHIP

2025 CPX/A/A+: 24 IP | 47.6 K-BB%, 30.1 SwStr%, 47.7 CSW% | 1.13 ERA, 0.50 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 3.60 ERA, 0.60 WHIP

Age: 21

ETA: Early 2026

fScores: N/A

Comp: Logan Gilbert

Prime Skills: Sykora has some really sick stuff as a former third rounder and is a big time name to watch. He’s a giant at 6’6″ with a 44.4% whiff rate in the minors and needs to be up in A+ or AA at this point. Sykora rocks a mid 90s fastball with obviously ridiculous extension due to his size with more run than ride and he also has a devastating 81-83 mph splitter and 85 mph hard slider. I mentioned on my podcast during his rehab assignment he looked like he was facing little leaguers – that’s how good his stuff is… he should move fast this year.

Player Notes: Sykora went five innings for the first game this season and of course kept the success rolling.

  1. SP Thomas White (Marlins)

2024 A/A+: 96 IP | 20 K-BB%, 14.6 SwStr%, 30.5 CSW% | 2.81 ERA, 1.31 WHIP

2025 A+: 31 IP | 23.7 K-BB%, 19.2 SwStr%, 34.4 CSW% | 2.90 ERA, 1.19 WHIP

This Week: 4 IP | 8 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.25 WHIP

Age: 20

ETA: Mid 2026

fScore: N/A

Comp: Carlos Rodon / Andrew Heaney mash up

Prime Skills: White is a big 6’5″ lefty who I saw live both in A ball last year and in the Spring Breakout game this spring, with noticeable differences in his repertoire that have made his stuff very impressive, while he needs to work on harnessing the command.

In Person (last year / this year):

  • vFB 94-97 MPH / 97-99 MPH
  • 78-82 MPH slider / 83-85 MPH (gyro slider – harder – less loop) — 15.4 SwStr%
  • 85-87 MPH / 85-88 MPH change up — 21.6 SwStr%

Player Notes: Thomas White only went four innings last time out, but it was a dominant four innings.

  1. SP Trey Yesavage (Blue Jays)

2024 College: 93 1/3 IP | 145 Ks, 32 BBs | 2.03 ERA, 0.87 WHIP

2025 A/A+ (as of 5/27/25): 50 2/3 IP | 35.2 K-BB%, 21.1 SwStr%, 38.5 CSW% | 2.03 ERA, 0.85 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 9 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 0.60 WHIP

Age: 21

ETA: Early 2026

fScores: N/A

Comp: Righty Clayton Kershaw light

Prime Skills: Big righty with a super over-the-top trebuchet like delivery that throws a solid fastball, slider, cutter and changeup combo. The fastball is up from 93-95 in college to averaging 97.9 this season, while the cutter generated a 27% SwStr% in A ball, while the changeup generated a 30.6% SwStr%. Low A dudes had trouble on his stuff with only a 1.4% barrel rate against.

Player Notes: Yesavage is good enough he could skip high A entirely and just go to AA.

  1. SP David Davalillo (Rangers)

2024 A/A+: 110 1/3 IP | 18.2 K-BB%, 13.6 SwStr%, 30.1 CSW% | 1.88 ERA, 1.10 WHIP

2025 A+: 49 1/3 IP | 30.3 K-BB%, 15 SwStr%, 32.3 CSW% | 1.09 ERA, 0.75 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 1.00 WHIP

Age: 22

ETA: 2027

fScores: N/A

Comp: Bryan Bello / Reese Olson mash

Prime Skills: Davalillo led the minors in ERA last season and is pacing to be a competitor again this season. He’s a shorter 6’1″ righty of slight build that sits 93-95 on the fastball, but has some killer breaking pitches between a sharp vertical slider, a beast of a changeup and a monster curve and generates a ton of ground balls along with the Ks. He’s a master of getting ground balls with a 58.1% GB rate.

Player Notes: Davalillo keeps the good times rolling, now if only I could pronounce his name correctly.

SP Trey Gibson (Orioles)

2025 Season: 44 2/3 IP | 31 K-BB%, 16.1 SwStr%, 34.2 CSW% | 4.63 ERA, 1.12 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 8 Ks, 3 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 0.67 WHIP

Notes: Gibson is right outside of the top 150, he’s had a very strong season and as a 23-year-old in a system with bad pitching it would be great to see him advance quickly.

SP Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz (Yankees)

2025 Season: 55 IP | 19 K-BB%, 14.5 SwStr%, 34.6 CSW% | 2.95 ERA, 1.05 WHIP

This Week: 7 IP | 9 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.71 WHIP

Notes: Cruz is another guy that was right outside of my top 150, you have to love when the Red Sox give the Yankees a great prospect.

SP Khal Stephan (Blue Jays)

2025 Season: 53 1/3 IP | 25.5 K-BB%, 15.3 SwStr%, 29.4 CSW% | 2.36 ERA, 0.94 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 11 Ks, 0 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 0.50 WHIP

Notes: Stephan had a rough couple starts when he was first promoted to high A and this was a killer welcome to high A start.

A Hitters:

  1. OF Konnor Griffin (Pirates)

2024 CPX: N/A

2025 A: .338/.396/.536 | 6.5 BB%, 22.9 K% | 21 XBH, 9 HR, 26 SB

This Week: 13/25 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 3 SB

Age: 19

ETA: 2028

fScores: N/A

Comp: Light Fernando Tatis Jr. with an Elly De La Cruz statistical profile

Prime Skills: Griffin is a big righty with a good arm as a high school pitcher and he has some massive power upside. The high stance and high and tight hands in his swing reminds me of Fernando Tatis Jr. and like Tatis, he will probably have plenty of swing and miss to go with the damage. Tools for days here as Griffin has already posted a max EV of 114.2 and has a 90th percentile EV of 108.

Player Notes: Griffin is one of the toolsiest – if not the most in all of baseball, including the majors. His home run this week was an inside the parker.

SS/3B Eric Bitonti (Brewers):

Season: .232/.338/.411 | 13.7 BB% / 35.2 K% | 17 XBH, 8 HR, 6 SB

This Week: 5/19 (5 BBs) | 3 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Bitonti has shown some nice power and speed, though I am concerned about his strikeout rate.

OF Tommy Hawke (Guardians):

Season: .314/.449/.390 | 18.3 BB% / 18.8 K% | 11 XBH, 0 HR, 53 SB

This Week: 9/22 | 3 XBH, 0 HR, 7 SB

Notes: This guy has a ridiculous stolen base count, but as a 22-year-old, he has to be doing this at a higher level to get me more excited.

SS Wyatt Sanford (Pirates):

Season: .306/.485/.514 | 16.3 BB% / 17.3 K% | 6 XBH, 4 HR, 16 SB (24 games)

This Week: 8/18 | 3 XBH, 3 HR, 3 SB

Notes: Sanford, the Pirates second round pick, has shown plus tools across the board when healthy this season. His small sample size means he has a ridiculously low value right now for a guy who could be in my next Top 150 prospect rankings.

C Alfredo Duno (Reds):

Season: .277/.412/.480 | 16.7 BB% / 20.4 K% | 21 XBH, 6 HR, 4 SB

This Week: 10/24 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Big Duno has mashed when healthy and this is a dude with a very good hit tool and is more athletic than he looks.

A Pitchers:

  1. SP Dasan Hill (Twins):

2025 A: 24 IP | 29.5 K-BB%, 15.8 SwStr%, 33.8 CSW% | 1.50 ERA, 0.92 WHIP

This Week: 4 IP | 7 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP

Age: 19

ETA: 2027

fScores: N/A

Comp: Max Fried

Prime Skills: Dasan Hill throws a 95-97 mph sinker as his primary fastball, but it’s the breakers that are elite pitches as the 82-84 mph slider is generating a 25.3% SwStr%, the 82-85 mph kick change up is generating a 31.3% SwStr% and the 79-81 mph curveball is generating a 16% SwStr%. He also mixes in the traditional four seamer at 95-97, but the go to is the sinker.

Player Notes: Hill has not been pitching deep into games, but he has been very good this season and could be in high A pretty easily.

  1. SP Cam Caminiti (Braves)

2024 A: 3 IP | 4 Ks, 0 BBs | 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP

2025 CPX/A: 18 2/3 IP | 26 K-BB%, 15.9 SwStr%, 29 SwStr% | 5.79 ERA, 1.13 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 0.40 WHIP

Age: 18

ETA: 2028

fScores: N/A

Comp: A raw McKenzie Gore with more wiry mechanics

Prime Skills: Caminiti has an athletic build at 6’2″, 195 pounds with a mid-to-upper 90s fastball from the left side, but inconsistent secondaries between a slider, changeup and curveball.

Player Notes: Caminiti just had the best start at A ball of his career, which has more or less just begun.
