The NFL regular season is fast approaching, and fantasy football drafts are in full swing. For those who have already drafted, it’s a smart idea to take a look at the first week’s slate of games to identify great matchups and potential values. For owners of injured wide receivers (A.J. Green) or holdout running backs (Ezekiel Elliott and Melvin Gordon) or even those who love the idea of streaming quarterbacks and tight ends every week, there are some quality options to be had late in drafts. Today, I’ll name seven players you can have after Round 10 (based on our consensus ADP) who can be highly productive options in Week 1. Here are some streamers to draft late in your fantasy football leagues.

Tyrell Williams (WR – OAK) vs. DEN – ADP: 124
The Antonio Brown saga continues to rage on, as the increasingly maniacal Brown skipped practice this past weekend and filed another grievance with the NFL while lamenting his helmet. With Brown’s status for Week 1 completely up in the air, Williams should be the de facto No. 1 option for Oakland should Brown miss the contest.
Known for his deep-threat abilities, Williams has averaged 51/813/5 over the last three seasons, playing primarily behind Keenan Allen. He should thrive in a featured role, even in a tough Week 1 matchup with the Broncos. Given the projected target share for that matchup, Williams is a great streamer. The depth chart at receiver behind him is very thin.
Austin Hooper (TE – ATL) @ MIN – ADP: 127
Hooper is coming off a career year, landing his first Pro Bowl appearance behind a 71/660/4 receiving line. He’s reportedly been impressive in training camp, and his role could continue to grow in his fourth year. The Vikings have a formidable secondary, and with defensive backs focusing on the stud duo of Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, Hooper should see his share of opportunities in the short and intermediate game. It’s entirely possible Minnesota’s talented offense tees off against Atlanta’s porous defense, forcing the Falcons to score a lot of points. Hooper is a steal in the 11th round of drafts and he has the potential for a great Week 1.
Keke Coutee (WR – HOU) @ NOR – ADP: 129
We’ve already mentioned that the Texans will have to score a lot of points to keep pace with the Saints on Monday Night Football, and Coutee should see his share of looks from Deshaun Watson. It’s unclear who will operate as the No. 2 behind DeAndre Hopkins, but Will Fuller is best utilized as a deep threat, rather than a short or intermediate option. Coutee should operate primarily out of the slot, giving him the perfect opportunity to snag a lot of passes, making him especially beneficial in PPR formats. He went 28/287/1 in six regular-season games as a rookie, but he put on a masterful performance in the Texans’ Wild Card playoff loss to the Colts, going 11/110/1. Coutee is available after Round 10 and he could pay huge dividends in a juicy Week 1 tilt.
Duke Johnson (RB – HOU) @ NOR – ADP: 138
Johnson should be the Texans’ primary receiving back this season, and what better time to put his pass-catching skills to use than against the high-flying Saints? The Texans open the season on the road at the Superdome, and New Orleans is dangerous at home. Houston will have to put up a lot of points to compete in the game, and that should mean a lot of pass plays. In four years with Cleveland, Johnson averaged 59 receptions per season, even finishing as an RB1 in PPR formats in 2017 behind a 74/693/3 receiving line. He can be had in the 12th round of most drafts, giving him streamer value for Week 1.
Kirk Cousins (QB – MIN) vs. ATL – ADP: 144
Cousins can be had for a song this year, and his late-round ADP is a little puzzling. Cousins has thrown for at least 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns for four straight seasons and he finished as the QB13 last season. He has even more weapons at his disposal in 2019-20, with Dalvin Cook back to full health and rookies Irv Smith Jr. and Alexander Mattison already impressing in the preseason. Cousins has arguably the best group of pass catchers in the NFL at his disposal, and it’s ludicrous to undervalue him. A tasty Week 1 matchup at home against one of 2018’s worst pass defenses should make Cousins one of the best options of the week at his position.
Jimmy Garoppolo (QB – SF) @TB – ADP: 146
Jimmy G is back after missing most of last season with a torn ACL, and he should be a quality play despite a poor showing in Week 2 of the preseason. Reportedly at full health, he’ll get eased into action nicely with a friendly matchup against a Bucs secondary that hemorrhaged yards and touchdowns to opposing signal-callers last season. In addition to the great matchup, Garoppolo has an upgraded group of pass catchers that includes rookies Deebo Samuel and Jalen Hurd along with offseason signee Tevin Coleman. This offense will bring back Dante Pettis and George Kittle to give Garoppolo a dangerous array of options. He shouldn’t have trouble scoring against this defense, and he presents major streaming value as a Round 13 pickup.
Jaron Brown (WR – SEA) vs. CIN – ADP: Undrafted
This pick is far from sexy. Brown’s ADP is out in the nether regions of the fantasy world, going undrafted in almost all formats. Don’t sleep on him, though. With the recent news that D.K. Metcalf will require knee surgery, it’s highly likely the rookie misses at least the first game of the season. That leaves Brown as a candidate to be the next man up to start in two-wide sets with Tyler Lockett.
Despite a career of low-usage, Brown has been healthy nearly his entire career, playing in all 16 games in five of his six NFL seasons. He’s also found the end zone recently, scoring nine touchdowns on just 45 receptions over the last two seasons, including a career-high five scores in 2018-19 on just 14 catches. He also scored in both games he started last season. Seattle gets a home matchup with the hapless Bengals in Week 1 and expect Brown to be heavily involved if Metcalf indeed sits, making Brown a great Week 1 streamer and likely a cheap DFS tournament play with upside.
