Fantasy Football Player Notes

2020 Rest of Season Rankings
Christian McCaffrey Note
Christian McCaffrey photo 10. Christian McCaffrey RB - (vs . NO)
McCaffrey suffered a high ankle sprain against the Bucs, has been placed on IR, and will miss several weeks (4-6), according to reports. You're obviously not dropping him, but it's an enormous blow to every fantasy manager who undoubtedly took him first overall. Remember that McCaffrey's timetable still leaves him available for at least the entire second half of the season, so managers with strong depth can do their best to stay afloat and survive until they can make a second-half push.

Robby Anderson Note
Robby Anderson photo 42. Robby Anderson WR - (vs . NO)
Anderson has seen a boatload of targets over the first two games, and there's little reason to expect that to stop anytime soon. The Panthers should be playing from behind in nearly every game, and Teddy Bridgewater will need to throw early and often. So long as Anderson continues to see the targets, he should be considered a borderline WR3, at worst.

Mike Davis Note
Mike Davis photo 69. Mike Davis RB - (vs . NO)
Davis should be in line to see the majority of touches in the Carolina backfield when Christian McCaffrey on IR with a high-ankle sprain. Davis won't replace McCaffrey's production, but his ability to chip in as a pass-catcher should give him a fairly high floor. In the right matchup, he should earn RB2 status.

Joey Slye Note
Joey Slye photo 255. Joey Slye K - (vs . NO)
Slye struggled a bit with his accuracy in his rookie year, missing four extra-point attempts and hitting just 78.1% of his field-goal tries. He'll likely see a fair amount of attempts this year with Teddy Bridgewater guiding a decent but less than explosive offense, but he'll need to start converting more of his chances to make him worth drafting in standard-sized leagues.
