Fantasy Football Player Notes

2019 Rest of Season Rankings
Julio Jones Note

You can say DeAndre Hopkins is the world's most talented receiver and even that his QB is a better passer than Matt Ryan, but the fact of the matter is that Hopkins has never once had as many receiving yards as Julio has averaged over the last five seasons. We know exactly who Jones is and it's a top fantasy performer every year. If they ever start throwing him the ball in the Red Zone, look out for a historic season.

Todd Gurley Note
Todd Gurley photo 18. Todd Gurley RB - (at TB)
Gurley has had a strange year, scoring a ton of touchdowns but lacking explosiveness and ceding significant work to the other running backs in the Rams offense. If you can capitalize on his touchdowns, then by all means, sell high. Otherwise, expect him to deliver RB2 value the rest of the way.

Matt Ryan Note
Matt Ryan photo 97. Matt Ryan QB - (at TB)
He hasn't been the same quarterback since returning from his ankle injury, but even more importantly, he's going to play against the 49ers and Jaguars over the final two weeks of the fantasy season. Those are two of the more limiting matchups you can think of for fantasy quarterbacks, and Ryan hasn't shown the stable floor we're used to, making him a shaky high-end QB2.

Brian Hill Note
Brian Hill photo 154. Brian Hill RB - (at TB)
Devonta Freeman could be back for Week 11 or miss the rest of the season. With Ito Smith already on IR, that would mean 15 to 20 touches every game for Hill in a strong offense. Don't sleep on the fact that Hill is an explosive athlete and could break out in this role to become a weekly RB2. If Freeman is out, Hill is well worth your entire FAAB budget.

Russell Gage Note

Now that Calvin Ridley has been ruled out for the season with an abdominal injury, Gage should start to see even more targets. With that said, you can't start him this week in the matchup against the 49ers.
