Fantasy Football Player Notes

2019 Rest of Season Rankings
George Kittle Note
George Kittle photo 34. George Kittle TE - (at SEA)
Not only did Kittle receive for more yards than any tight end in football history last year, but he did it with Nick Mullens and CJ Beathard as his quarterbacks. Enter Jimmy Garoppolo and we might see an even better season. Granted, the 49ers have some weapons in the passing game, but among them, Kittle is still the number one.

Raheem Mostert Note
Raheem Mostert photo 51. Raheem Mostert RB - (at SEA)
Like many of the other names on this list, there is some risk, but we are talking about what is essentially the #1 running back for one of the top running offenses in football. You may not like the matchup versus New Orleans, but last week's matchup against the Ravens wasn't so hot either and he still went for 154 yards and a score.

Matt Breida Note
Matt Breida photo 84. Matt Breida RB - (at SEA)
Like the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, life finds a way with Breida, who is set to take back the lead role in the San Francisco backfield after Tevin Coleman's ankle injury. Raheem Mostert ran well against the Bucs after Coleman left the game, but Breida has shown before what he can do in this offense. He should be a reliable Flex play for as long as Coleman is out, even with sharing carries with Mostert.

Tevin Coleman Note
Tevin Coleman photo 93. Tevin Coleman RB - (at SEA)
He's fallen down the depth chart over the last few weeks, while they are turning into a more balanced offense with their run/pass selection. Because of that, it's going to be even more difficult to find two 49ers running backs who see double-digit touches, let alone three of them.

Deebo Samuel Note
Deebo Samuel photo 95. Deebo Samuel WR - (at SEA)
Samuel has slowed down enough over the past month that we can't start him in any matchup for now, but he still has WR3 upside if he starts seeing consistent snaps and targets for San Francisco.

Jimmy Garoppolo Note
Jimmy Garoppolo photo 116. Jimmy Garoppolo QB - (at SEA)
Garoppolo has been a big reason for the 49ers' undefeated start to the season, but it hasn't translated into much fantasy success. He's thrown for just 1,163 yards and has a 7:5 TD-to-INT ratio. With the 49ers' strong defense, there's just not much need for Garoppolo to air it out much, making him an option in only two-quarterback leagues.

Robbie Gould Note

Jeff Wilson Note
Jeff Wilson photo 179. Jeff Wilson RB - (at SEA)
Wilson may be piling up rushing touchdowns quickly, but he is still the clear #3 running back for the 49ers and when Tevin Coleman returns, Wilson is likely headed back to inactive.

Dante Pettis Note
Dante Pettis photo 263. Dante Pettis WR - (at SEA)
Pettis was drafted as a WR3 this summer who had WR2 upside and while we haven't seen it yet, he has been slowly growing toward the role as he separates himself from the preseason injury. He is worth taking a shot on in case he emerges as that top receiver for Jimmy G and it may happen this week in a killer matchup against Washington.

Kendrick Bourne Note

Marquise Goodwin Note
Marquise Goodwin photo 299. Marquise Goodwin WR - (at SEA)
There is a real chance Goodwin ends up useless from a fantasy perspective if he is the 4th or even 5th target in this offense, but Jimmy G sure did love Goodwin in their sample size together so keep a close eye on his snap counts in case we get a surprise breakout here.
